The main reason people buy aftermarket wheels is for their looks and the companies that make reps make them in more color options and they also make a lot of different designs Rays doesn't offer. Taking a stand against inexpensive wheels is almost as stupid as spending over 1k on a set of wheels. HRE's, Rays, etc. will still bend if you hit a curb or pothole so there is really no benefit to paying more for them. I think it's hilarious that people put them on slow inexpensive 35k evos and shit. Buy an expensive car, not expensive wheels. For the weekend track posers that say they need lightweight wheels, I say buy a more powerful car. I could put heavy ass 20x10's on my ATS-V and still smoke the posers with Rays, lol.
The OP's comment is not directed towards quality, it's about intellectual property. Buying fake wheels is like, boot legging a movie. For most people sure, it's the same look, and will be used for just daily driving. But it doesn't take away that it's not their design. They spent 0 dollars in engineering, all they had to do was take an existing wheel take measurements and duplicate it whatever they want. Those rep companies literally ride on rays and other reputable companies success. They didn't come up with it themselves. And they can't sue because most of these rep wheels are made in china, filipines, taiwan, etc.
Anything will break eventually, real or fake. Who cares if you spend $400 or $5K worth of wheel? To me it wasn't about the dollar, it's about stolen intellectual property. How would you feel if someone else copy every single page of your resume and land the job that you couldn't?
Got some Ce28’s recently for my GTi. Great looking wheel and you can tell there’s such quality put into these wheels. No regrets spending a pretty penny.
Have been a huge fan of Volks since I first learned about them in the mid90s. Just last week, I was able to afford my very first set (used) and grabbed some 16X7 Te37s for my 2014 BRZ......paid $1,000 for 14 year old wheels (they are in nearly perfect condition) without tires, but they weigh 11.2 lbs and are essentially the lightest, smallest wheels I can run in my class (DS- SCCA). Can't wait to throw some class-leading rubbers on them and see how much more responsive the car is than with the stock wheels!
Love this series, one little critique: you guys dont have to do the quick cutaway jokes. I know its what other successful youtubers do but your guys’s content is interesting enough to watch without them. just go for gold! Keep grinding 👍🏻
my dream ride as a teenager was american classic muscles, but when i finally buy my own car last year, i picked a brand new mazda because it'll sit perfectly on a TE37.
I used to have a set of gunmetal Volk GT-N wheels on my car.. it got so many thumbs up on the interstate and just a bunch of compliments in general.. nothing can touch volks in the looks and quality department. They are worth every penny
I've been checking out a bunch of your videos the whole day today. You guys make great videos and I ended up subscribing to your channel. You give a lot of great info that I ended up learning a lot today. Have you talked about Ambit wheels yet?
I just picked up a really clean set of Nismo LMGT4’s by Rays Eng for my 300zx, super pleased. 16”-> 18” , an inch wider all the way around and 2lbs less at each corner and really flush. Also checking to see if you guys to respond to comment on old videos lol
I gotta say, I love your videos man! Great personality, awesome info and not cheesy clickbait bullshit like most do. Just straight data with a nice sense of humor. BTW, loved the part about your wife stealing your hoodies. Id buy one, but I know I would never get to wear it, so I'll save myself the money. lol
Wow, I knew that Rays had a deep history but I had no idea that they had so much R&D put into their wheels! Makes me feel bad because My Volk Racing SF Winning F-Zero’s are in really bad shape rn
trying to purchase a set of te37sl for my 2015 lexus is 350 sport awd.. cant figure out the fitment.. no lowering, or coilovers... any helpful suggestions?

You're absolutely right! I just purchased a set of Te37rt 18x10.5 for my evo x. I ordered a custom color and when they arrived damaged. Rays engineering instead, gave me a $200 discount on there 2016 new model "blue rims" and I love them! Now I want to install a wide body kit. What do you recommend? I would like 3piece rims. Thanks guys!!

Hi, i am the proud owner of a 2014 370z! I scratched my Rays and had Nissan do the refurbishment. Although the wheels look nice, they weren’t able to duplicate the “hyper silver!” look. I was told that no one would be able to recreate the exact finish! Do you agree and or do you have any suggestions?
What about TOM'S?? I have about 4 sets of tom's wheels and all of them have the "rays engineering" stamp. Yet i cannot find any affiliation between them on either of there websites. Care to enlighten me on this??

Love this series! Not it's time to talk about ENKEIIIIIIIIIIII
Thanks Roice! Well keep them coming than!
May i know what's difference between American Forged wheels and Japanese Forged Wheels?
Enkei is getting crappy. Some of their wheel production is outsourced from foreign companies like Rota that don't have the best machines.
@@ahmadfiki9404 there is no standard in the USA like the JWL in Japan
