This video was pretty long and I feel like I missed some things that should be said:
- I really enjoyed these (all have good ratings from me) and when I do these types of reviews I often focus on the negatives and not all the great positives. It's something I'm not usually aware of until after editing.
- I'm new to horror and tend to think it is with thrillers in pace and that's not true! So when I talk about pacing, it's what I am used to and is a learning curve for me as I delve further into the genre
- obviously, horror means something different to everyone. If I didn't like something, that doesn't mean it isn't an absolute gem in the genre!
All I can say is that I really really enjoyed this video and you have added to my tbr list so thank you 😊 please stay safe and enjoy your reading 📖

Omg, I LOVED this video! You did an excellent job channeling them! I’m just getting into horror too, and I’m noticing that there’s sooooo many subgenres, that it can take awhile to find out which flavour works out best for you. Judging from this video and your previous videos, I think anything that’s medium-fast paced with a slasher edge to it would be a perfect fit. Gothic horror tends to be more about the (slow) ride than the destination.

Camp slaughter seems so cool 👀
Cold Moon Over Babylon is one of my all time favorite horror novels. I think the story of revenge is so powerful and the writing is super beautiful and creepy. It's a gothic slow burn...not gonna be for everyone. There IS a movie called Cold Moon, I believe it's still on Amazon Prime. It isn't the best and the acting isn't great but it's kinda fun to watch...great creature design and it has some great moments and it obviously condenses the story more.
I can definitely see why people love it! The writing was some of the best and some of the scenes gave me CHILLS. I might have to check out the movie! I also think I was just fed up with life on general by the end of reading it so that may have hindered my experience a bit lol
