I think people overevaluate the beatmakers who produced for Dre. Both Sam Sneed's and Buddah's beats sounded the same, because they had Dre's influence. The beats were great, but neither Sneed nore Buddah did anything good after Dre. I respect the beatmakers, but don't downplay Dre's role.
lance estep not hating on the original track cuz we all grew up on that version but damn just knowing that its Sam Sneed’s production, he shouldve kept this track for himself and we wouldve had this one and “better recognize” on the MWTC Soundtrack , then a remix with dre and cube
They took this beat from a Sneed song, than booted him from the release of it, than put his 2 singles onto movie soundtracks and let his already recorded album sit in limbo, than he gets beat by Tupac over some bullshit. Guy got the short end of the stick.
@@brianwellbrock8431 he got beat by the a few members of outlawz, the guys from the group six feet deep or at least 6ix from that group, not sure if pac got in some hits but I think sure and pac sat n watched, one of those closed door sessions. He should have known better at the time to be in a music video with a bunch of n.y. rappers representing East Coast. Somebody showed the video to pac, pac to sure, and then they called a meeting. By far one of death rows biggest mistakes was sleeping on sneed. This version is better than the one without him, but this version specifically isn't the full song it's been cut. Ice cubes verse comes in wack after Sam. And shit is rushed all over the place. On a side note, later on in life when sneed was suffering from a brain tumor, sure paid all his medical bills and paid to have his surgery. Thought that was a stand up move by suge. No way should sneeds album have not been released at the time tho, he was working on some hot shit. Blueberries with snoop, lady heroin with flexx, NBK, U betta recognize, all of that is fire 🔥
@@triplesicks7508 that stuff isn't death row material. death row was known for a certain image and a certain sound. And for releasing artists with mass appeal that sell a lot of records. Sam Sneed was not a westcoast rapper, not a larger than life guy with mass appeal

Nah my dude, play close attention to all of sam sneeds production and there is a lot of similarities, not saying that he creates the same shit over and over but he uses about the same layers or drums on every song which makes it a “sam sneed beat” but The Heist is a complete different beat just sounds like Natural Born Killaz
How is Sneed's verse's so dope, yet they still made the right call to cut it, it drags. Its like this needs 2 versions, Sneed Solo, and Dre & Cube duo.
What are talking about, dude? Some of the lyrics have changed and there's a whole new verse added. The whole track is different. Nothing is the same. Verses are out of place and Cube's verse plays twice over the hook. It's much less polished than the final version
Straight up Dre style G Rap sounds, and sam sneed is a straight up G rapper for sure, great Killah sounds! Respect to Dre he always knows to find the good sounding rappers he's featured
Yeah Sneed didn't flow well on this song at all. But to be fair had he known he was gonna be on the final track I'm sure he would've fixed and redid his verses.
This doesn't make sense. Seems like someone took out Cube's but couldn't take out other parts of him on the song. I highly doubt that this is real or official.
Sam could’ve been the best west coast rapper if they would’ve did him wrong 2pac suge knight the outlaws y’all messed Sam sneed career up that bul was on his was to the top and they was hating on him
NEW JACK being in this video would have took this shit over the top
Sam Snead had an ill style with the beats. You can hear his sound all on Dre's stuff from that era.
Dre really fell off in that era.
Sam sneed beats are the perfect mash of boom bap and g-gunk that can never be replicated
I Made a remix of this track Come listen to it on my Channel if you want 😉👍peace🙏

I think it's the other way around! Sneed had and has a Dre type off G-Funk style sound!! But Sam Sneed is a underrated rapper and mc
Respect 2 both!
I actually like this version better. Sam Sneed got an Ill voice and flow. He killed that shit

God damn! Sam sneed went in on this one. Suge lost a good lyricist when he did that bad move on him. ( y'all dig what I'm saying?)
That's why suge is broke
