Sheesh, do you fellas have a monopoly on top-notch Triumphs? A lovely example.

    I have a 1973 Tiger.
It is very similar, but has right hand shifter & conical rear hub with rear drum brake.

I have a 73 tr7rv also. Might want to check your cams numbers the next time you have it apart. Many left the factory with race cams because of a shortage on stock parts in 73 . Mine has the race cams and really runs strong ☺️👍

      Thanks for the info.
I.have had mine since May 1977 & has 63,000 miles.
I have yet to split the cases or mess with the cams.
I have never had the inner case of the transmission off either, so most transmission is original too.
I am good about changing oil & ride the bike every year.
For some reason mine has the points mounting plate for a 1972, so I always have to order 1972 ignition points.
I think they used whatever parts were available?

It probably doesn't make a difference but mine was made in June 1973.
I know they had some kind of Strike that year.
