3:58 A bit of clarification: The man, who is parodied here, is Helmut Schmidt. Our Minister of Defense from 1969 - 1972 and later our Chancellor from 1974 - 1982. He was also the senator of the police department of Hamburg from 1961 - 1965 and was the hero during the 1962 Hamburg Storm Surge, because he didn't took the regular beaurocratic, but the direct way to our Bundeswehr and Nato Troops and called them for help.
He also was a strong zigarette smoker. In every interview you can see him smoking, because that was one of his demandings. No smoking? No interview. And he probably was the best chancellor, we've ever had in our history
He is a genius and to be honest: When I first saw him doing Thorsten Sträter, I couldn't tell if the was the real one or a fake! He nailed it!
His face is slightly smaller than Thorsten, but everything else was 1:1

It is the same impersonator all the time, Max Giermann, amazingly talented. He does immense research on each and every person he impersonates, watches hours of video footage, then studies their ways to express themselves and speak their texts, and so on. His acting is funny itself, but as soon as you get to know these German VIPs in the weekly media programmes, his impersonations are even better. Max Giermann once said, that he does not impersonate anybody whom he did not study for hours before, on a principle.
