Out of all the maps i think LB6 and LB7 are my favourite. LB6 because of all the little details and the fact that we explore pretty much all of it and it also changes a lot depending of what chapter you are doing in the story while exploring it. The LB6 story itself also does a very good job at worldbuilding and the OST for LB6 part 3 of the story is my favourite so it feels even better. I also like LB7 because of how unique it looks and how it changes when ORT starts going rampage.
I still think to this Day Camelot Map is the most fcked up. Seeing those Blank White Space in the corner, you can see what Rhon can do and it looks scary, the fact that it only leaves a small chunk of Land in the middle of Nothingness. Damn bro. It's scarier than LB6 Map with that Innocent BGM
Gotta be honest, regardless of how good any of the newer maps are, the Babylonia map completely transforming after Tiamat woke up will always be one of the most memorable moments of FGO to me.
Huh. A lot of the Arc 1 maps were actually really good. We hit a bit of a dark age from Shimousa to LB4, but they picked back up in quality from LB5.1 onward. I'd love to know who does the art for these.
@@Altiex Yeah, a lot of these maps do look better with their icons, though structurally LB4 is still basically "here is a big rectangle of land" with very few distinguishing features. LB3 is probably the best of this group, imo, since the area around QSH's palace is clearly distinguished from the rest of what would otherwise be a bland map.
Would like to see when the lostbelt tree still there, Avalon le fae while burning, and babylonia in a mud flood too 🙁 Now i can print out all the map and put it on the wall in my room 😂
It really saddens me how boring and uninteresting lostbelts 1-4 are map wise, I know it's the point but they really do feel barren and empty, you don't feel anything when looking at them. Compare that to the first 5 singularities and they give you this idea of a grand adventure, periling across these massive stretches of land and seeing so many different sights and people. And even with LB 5.1 it's just a rehash of Okeanos but this time with holes. It seems though that lostbelts 5.2 onwards have got pretty amazing map designs now, which is awesome.

The maps in FGO have always been one of my favorite things. They all feel so majestic, fitting of the grand adventure we're on.

You don't notice how cool stuff is until you can see it without all the clutter. It feels so much bigger without the UI.
Seraph is my favorite for sure. Such a beautiful map theme. It fits the story and the atmosphere so well.

LB4 looked fine when it had the tree and the giant cube but it does look pretty weird without them.
