a tongue is a known language of a race of people on this earth that you don't know normally,like all of a sudden knowing how to speak japanese when you've never learned it.

That is actually the gift of speaking with diverse tounges. Different from praying in tounges

I was enjoying everything I heard until you got to the part where Paul says let him pray for interpretation. The reason for praying for interpretation is because this is being operated in the local assembly and people are not edified if they do not hear the interpretation of tongues or a tongue. Paul is not talking about an individual believer interpreting his own tongue for his own benefit.
