In my opinion probably the greatest character actor of all time, the great Karl Malden with an unbelievable passion and a tremendous tremendous speaking voice, so eloquent , RIP Karl , you gave us many great memories .
Been watching a lot of older movies lately because newerr Hollywood osnt doing it for me. Karl pops up a lot in many of them and is often my favorite character in the film.
........Kirk for this in 1991 looks to be mid seventies in age,, it seems unlikely, but not totally out of the question....I'd however believe 1981 as the date for this filming.... .....we never did get his version concerning Natalya Wood.
@@philipvernejules9926 Are you kidding? This was not 1981. This was 1991. The older gentleman above you who is a true treasure, almost 100 years old and appreciating this amazing TH-cam format, was there. And I saw it on television. In 1991.
a very good clip. I loved Karl Malden and Michael Doulgas in The Sgtreets Of SF. Karl Malden is wonderful. I am very happy he is alove at 97 years of age...
Hello from Turkey. I love Karl Malden's coming from Serbia. I'm from the west side of Turkey and we have a lot of people with roots from or who had lived for generations in Serbia and so Karl has always felt kind of like a relative to me.
Karl Malden, Kirk and Michael Douglas are legends who will never die. Sure Karl and Kirk are gone but they are forever the greatest actors who ever lived. Michael Douglas truly learned alot from Karl and you can tell when you watch his movies but his acting comes from his talent and Kirk too
@American Film Institute Thank you for posting this and keeping the memory of Karl alive, he was such a great human being, terrific actor and a wonderful soul, full of determination, passion and love. As a suggestion, may I point out, that it would be great to see the reaction of Kirk in this video as Karl gave such lovely speech in recognition, those speeches are gifts, and as such, it would be wonderful to see how people enjoy them. Thanks again.
