Kotaro was very curious about Odashi. He is so cute running to and away from her. Hana is the otter boss and she knows it! Acceptance of new otters in their secure, happy home just takes time and patience. It’s difficult when everyone lives far away from each other. Lots of otter personalities today. Fun! 💛🦦🦦💛💛
Hana is actually very timid. Her aggression displays are usually fear responses. Usually. Sometimes she's a mood. During Hana's 2nd on-camera meeting with Ui as they cursed each other out, Ui got very close to Hana twice and both times Hana backed off, not wanting a fight. Chonk Princess talks a big game but doesn't back it up except with the guys (Komugi, Kotaro, Aty). Odashi clearly wanted to be friends with Hana but Hana wasn't having it.
I kinda knew that was why. I only wanted her to be the princess boss. She is my backpack princess and I adore the little fluffy! It’s good Ui and Hana accept each other. I hope one day Hana will accept Odashi too! Or even the funny year olds💛🦦💛
I also liked when she was scratching on the glass door and Kotsume father inside was making a nice game out of it with his fingers... I think that was really nice of him. It did seem to let her know all was going to be okay.
He really did. At times I felt sorry that Kotaro was in the midst of drama. He doesn't really like it. I wonder how much time Hana spent with her twin Komugi before her relocation to the Kotsumet household.

@@avoboy662 No, Hana and Odashi are female river otters. They are animals and are a bit territorial. Be careful of ascribing human traits to them. Hana is shy around other otters and hasn't spent much time around others besides Kotaro. It's a learning curve for her, like everything else she's mastered.

It's my first time seeing Komugi act somewhat aggressively, having a girlfriend awakened something in him. He's usually so submissive. It's the females who I've noticed to be more territorial/protective of their partners but Odashi doesn't seemed threatened by Hana.

Not really. You can see that Hana is very uncertain abd staying near her dad. She was also backing up at her meeting with Ui, despite her remembering that Ui hit Kotaro. Hana is territorial but not spoiling for a fight. She's not used to being around other otters much or having them in her space.

First time we've seen Komugi act like that. It must be harder to do these otter crossovers. At first, Hana and Kotaro were the main couple. Now, Aty and Ui and Komugi and Odashi being couples makes the meetings complicated.
I AM REALLY, REALLY GLAD THAT THIS WAS NOT JUST UI (Otterman's otter) HAVING THIS REACTION AS A FEMALE OTTER!!, 🦦💙🦦💕🦦💚🦦🦦🐾🦦💞! That is such relief that all female (captive?) otters have this kind of reaction with each other... I would have never thought that Kotoro and Hana would have reacted like this to a couple otters in their house! It just blew me away that they were not more gracious and welcoming to their guests. Maybe if they had a little bit more time

Sometimes a Kotsumet upload is the best part of the entire month. Watching them swim especially is very relaxing and therapeutic. It is like a tiny river otter vacation ❤

I think there at the end, Kotaro & Hana were scent marking everything to get rid of any traces of their visitors. My cats rub against things like the otters did to claim their territory.

I think if it was just Aty, Komugi and Kotaro, they will be bros for life, but when there are girls around, fighting begins)) Also it’s interesting to see Komugi protecting his beloved Odashi)) haven’t seen Kotaro or Aty doing this thing)) Hope to see one day the whole collaboration of six otters (three couples))
My guess (and I could be completely wrong) is that Kotaro thinks of Hana as a younger sibling. As you see, Komugi is almost always friendly yet today he didnt want Kotaro near Odashi. That goes to say that no matter how sweet the male otter is, he'll make sure others know he has his claim on the female. Kotaro didn't seem bothered when Aty or Komugi was trying to get close to Hana. If anything he just checked in on her after her fight to make sure she was okay and enjoying herself (like a brother would).

I think that female otters are still more protective for their territory or mates than males one)) because Odashi also did try to fight with Ui, while Komugi didn’t mind having Aty around, though he was with Odashi at that time as well

@@Maruska1306 Loutre mom mentioned in a previous video that Odashi gets along well with other otters (both male and female) but if someone threatens her first, she doesn't back away from the fight. Ui threatened Odashi immediately after meeting her. So when they had a one-on-one meet, Odashi stood up for herself. Even in this video, Odashi seems almost indifferent, it's Hana who gets territorial (she even snapped at Komugi).
Got to love how Kotaro is so gentle and non-aggressive that he doesn't even need a harness.

Yes. It was the cutest. Unlike Hana, Kotaro has more curiosity about other otters and somewhat less fear of them.

My guess (and I could be completely wrong) is that Kotaro thinks of Hana as a younger sibling. As you see, Komugi is almost always friendly yet today he didnt want Kotaro near Odashi. That goes to say that no matter how sweet the male otter is, he'll make sure others know he has his claim on the female. Kotaro didn't seem bothered when Aty or Komugi was trying to get close to Hana. If anything he just checked in on her after her fight to make sure she was okay and enjoying herself (like a brother would).
@@maevekendrick2715 maybe you are right, but also in Aty case he as well doesn’t fight for Ui, it’s actually the other way around. I think that female otters are still more protective for their territory or mates than males one)) because Odashi also did try to fight with Ui, while Komugi didn’t mind having Aty around, though he was with Odashi at that time as well

@@Maruska1306 Loutre mom mentioned in a previous video that Odashi gets along well with other otters (both male and female) but if someone threatens her first, she doesn't back away from the fight. Ui threatened Odashi immediately after meeting her. So when they had a one-on-one meet, Odashi stood up for herself. Even in this video, Odashi seems almost indifferent, it's Hana who gets territorial (she even snapped at Komugi).
