We Are One Is Undoubtedly The Most Incredible Live Song Frankie Beverly Performs Live.Even The Audience Gets Emotional As He Sings It. It's Totally Captures The Amazing Lyrics And The Crowd Feeling It To Their Bones Doesn't Get Any Better. A Legendary Band That Ruled The 70,s And Is Still Relevant At Clubs All Over The Universe. That's All I'm Saying.
The intro gets me everytime. It was 1981 and I was18 just joining the military when first hearing this song. Now 61 this song still sounds Greaaaat!!! Real Music baby
I was 18 as well! Wow ! Just graduated high school entering college. He was young Frankie then. You had to be there, and being from New Orleans it was all the buzz . He actually did two shows that night. The Seanger theater was rocking man🎵🎶!
I was 20 and a Sophomore at Xavier and enjoyed this show and many more that followed for decades. Yeah real music baby, real music. Love ya Frankie ❤️💔😊😢😢⚜️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Wow wow, this takes me back to 70s 80s. Love Frankie and Maze. This music never gets old had the privilege seeing this awesome group perform live in concert twice and well worth the money, they are amazing. Legendary!
I'll never forget the one time I saw Frankie and Maze at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in (I think it was) 2012. It had rained all day and I was standing in ankle-deep mud. The weather was miserable but I hung in there anyway and refused to leave until I heard "Golden Time of Day" and "Happy Feelin's." R.I.P. Frankie. As we say here in New Orleans, "You done good!"
I put them right up there with Earth Wind and Fire back in the day . They didn’t need any gimmicks . No fancy costumes, no magic or fancy choreography . They flat out jammed ! That they never got recognized for any awards is a sin !
They have always been terrified of the truth. True source energy, songs of the original being. Those awards were for who they felt comfortable with. We know they meant nothing.
I was blessed to be at this concert at the ripe age of 21. I was already a fan, but this concert got into my soul and Maze and Frankie became my favorite artist. His music speaks to me still. RIP friend !!! We are one!!!
It's funny for years people were saying he needed to stop, but they never stopped playing his music or going to his concerts. I attended many concerts in Philly & Los Angeles. BIt was the vibe & the loyalty & then love until the end. I'm so glad to have attended his farewell tour in Philly July 4th. Always & forever a fan & truly heartbroken of Frankie's passing.😢
Only by the industry and they are known to trip! The people who they did it for - have DEFINITELY given them LOVE and their flowers - EVERY YEAR, EVERY CONCERT!!!!!!!!💯❤️😍💃🏽💃🏽
Frankie and Maze Concerts are All That and then some more !!! Lost an ICON, there music and Frankie's melodies stood for love and grooving...So Hsppy and honored to see Frankie live several times !!!
Frankie and Maze, deserve a living legend award as well as they need to be inducted into the rocking road music hall of fame. We never seem to give the R&B singers there just dues.
Rest in Peace, Frankie! Thank you for more than 40 Years of Grrreeat music and performances!!! God accept you and bless your family!🔥💃🏿💃🏿🕺🏿🕺🏿🕺🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️❤️❤️❤️👉🏿💋

Hardly any radio play 😳.. no Grammys ?? Yet hands down one of the best soul /funk bands ever in history . They never changed their sound to fit the industry #Legends 🥇✊😻🔥🔥🔥🔥
You're right about the lack of Grammys, but MAZE received quite a bit of radio play back in the '80s, especially on the "Quiet Storm" format radio stations. They still get played today.
Frankie Beverly and Maze the most unsung band in R&B history... In their hey day.. very, very few bands could touch their live shows.. No fancy fireworks flashy costumes or big stage productions.. Just awesome musicianship.. and great vibes from the most down to earth brothers on the planet.. Thank you Maze and Frankie... After 39 years, you’re still my favorite! No Grammy can do that!
Doesn't gets any better than this.............live in my hometown. They tear it down, year after year............we are blessed, just as if they're from here!!! Capt'n Charles........... there's isn't a party, we don't jam this song, of many Frankie and Maze joints, we don't rock!!!

It seems everytime Maze came to Chicago I wouldn't get the chance to see them. I'm so hurt that I never got the chance to see them live especially Frankie just looking at this video the music touches your soul, I bet being in that auditorium and actually being that close was just awesome. Rest with ancestors Sir Frankie thank you for making such beautiful and classic songs for the masses. 🎤🎤🎤🎶🎶💐🤍🕊️🕊️😢 P.S. He was a Sagittarius no wonder he was in a lane by himself and didn't give 2 sh//ts about awards in such he loved what he did and bringing joy to others through song.♐
My guy loves himself some Frankie Beverly and Maze This song he dedicated to me. God has brought my guy home and whenever I hear Frankie Beverly and Maze I cry bc it brings me back. January 14 will be a year of his demise
I understand that they were discovered in San Francisco by Marvin Gaye, but I think that they were launched in New Orleans. NOLA put them on her shoulders started them towards stardom. I remember going to this club in NOLA, I think the name of the club was The Horse (I might be wrong about it). But They were playing there, on more than one occasion. And of course they played the festivals. I believe you could find people in the city who believe to this day that they were from there. Regardless, Frankie Beverly and Maze were loved and nurtured and adopted by New Orleans. Maybe that’s where Southern Girl comes from.
Who ever was at thid concert made history because this one of the best albums that came out from live...what a honor for his fans to say they were there ❤

They were very underrated as a band. I love Frankie's smooth voice😎👍👍
The way the entire audience would sing every note of every song right along with the band was probably an award in itself
They have always been terrified of the truth. True source energy, songs of the original being. Those awards were for who they felt comfortable with. We know they meant nothing.
