    They can be pricey and sometimes hard to get but with the right tools, the lenses can be easily changed if you have multiple lenses. It's a timeless brand that can move with the trends. This is why I invested and wear Custom Cartier Frames and Lenses. What do you wear? 💪

      Thanks for great video Bro! After wearing Cartier C Decor woods nothing compared with it! I have two pairs rimless woods one with engraved C and flat ones, one need restoration the layer of lack is some places off, because I used aggressive dish washing soap, better not to do it with it, that’s an idea for you to tell people how to wash them properly without damaging lack and layers on lenses!🙌🙏 And Norbert Two is Japan Brand MATSUDA, great quality, one of the best, specialty titanium frames 😎 Cheers Brother and keep rocking 😃🤙

    • @Jsean
      @Jsean  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In my opinion it adds a nice touch. It’s not necessary but it is nice. The only thing is where ever you get it from see their examples first. I got some done from a place that always looked good (thin and engraved deep) but the last time it was fatter, smudgier and not deep enough at all. So much so that the gold they added rubbed right off with my finger smh. They usually charge around $150 for that so if the budget is tight I’d probably skip it. You can also get anything engraved up to a certain amount of letters but again, they will charge for that. Hope that helps! 💪

    Whats good bro! I finally got my prescription Cartiers in after a little over a month and I can easily say it was well worth the wait. They look clean, and you can feel the very high quality difference compared to other glasses. The only thing I wasn’t able to do through my authorized dealer was get the “Cartier” logo engraved into my lens however I’ve already located a place that can do it for me. I go to Omnivision in Philadelphia for my Cartiers. They are the best but the prices are ridiculous! I got a pair of c decors made from black acetate and platinum. The glasses were $1145 but with my custom prescription lenses, custom tint plus I got my name engraved in them cost me around $2200.

    • @Jsean
      @Jsean  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea someone else on here said they were charged 1200 just for their prescriptions smh. That’s too much. If omnivision is an authorized dealer they are making most of their profit from those “custom” lenses and with custom they can put any price on it they choose. To put it in perspective, usually prescription lenses for most glasses only run in the low few hundreds so you know they are taxing lol. I guess at the end if you really like your end result oh well but if you want multiple lenses or are doing this for multiple frames that can get super costly. If you ever buy frames from a jeweler your already paying over retail too 💪

    the optical version of Cartier glasses you dont need to bend the hinges. usually the sunglasses version have the curved lens which lead the hinges needing to be bent if you switch the lens to prescription or regular flat lenses.

  • @snpdo
    @snpdo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What you are referring to in terms of “the curves” on the fixtures is the difference between sunglass fixtures and optical fixtures. I personally say never bend them but to each their own.

    • @Jsean
      @Jsean  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree but I had to have it done for some of these. They needed to be bent in order to put flatter fitting lenses on whether sunglasses or optical lenses. Some naturally come with more of a curved lens and the only way to fit different shapes is having to bend the sticks. They have a tool for it and it’s common with glasses. The tool they use for the Cartiers look like pliers with these plastic tips that grab the metal parts of the sticks and then bend/pry them to fit properly.

    • @snpdo
      @snpdo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Jsean Lol i know how they do it. I buy my Cartiers from Optica in Troy, MI which is a licensed Cartier dealer. When you bend sunglass fixtures down it doesn’t look flush the way a stock optical fixture does. It’s not all the same depending on who does it but most the time it’s a sharp bend that anyone that knows Cartiers would easily differentiate. I personally think it looks cheap but like I said, to each their own.

    • @Jsean
      @Jsean  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, I appreciate that! Are you referring to the more Squarish lenses? This is the thing with these. Most factory lenses are sort of ugly. Factory clear lenses for prescriptions are usually very small and either squarish or circular. ANY lens you have seen on no matter which model can be made for the frames you like. The only thing that may play a part is the curvature that may or may not be needed to adapt to the natural curve of the sticks or other hardware if that makes sense. Even with that sometimes they will even bend them a little to adjust to the shape. Hope that helps! 💪

I don’t see why not because once they start customizing those lenses they are not even manufactured from cartier anyways and they still can measure them to fit. Nice 👍, yea I actually like my woods better than my buffs. Something about them just look more elegant to me but my woods are not bust down either. My buffs also have white hardware too so that could be why they don’t stick out as much. I have the little C’s red plastic sticks that are bust down but they are still very subtle because the stones are mounted directly on the factory pieces not separated ones that they weld on. @@alinecimoglu no problem! So depending on the legs/sticks piece that connects to the lens itself. The are all sort of bent in a certain angle and sometimes the lens has to have a certain curve in order to sit properly. For example one of my lenses had holes that lined up to attached to the nose bridge and side pieces but when it was all assembled the sides were flared out really ridiculous wide before even putting them on. If the lens was more curved it would compensate for that. If you look at the lens from the side you will see how some curve a little or if you lay the lens itself on a table some will lay flat while some have a slight curve so they won’t. No problem and yea you can do that for sure! I have wide temples too. The only thing you gotta watch for is if the lenses are very transparent keep an eye on where your actual eyes sit in the lenses. Because some of my lenses are more transparent you can see how my eyes are sitting more towards the inner part of the lens but if you do that too much it can make you look cross eyed. I was told this but then one day I actually understand after looking at myself with one of my frames on. Another thing is some glasses have bigger or smaller nose bridges. That can compensate for that as well. If you go for larger lenses top and bottom length I’d recommend not letting it cover your eyebrows. You may think it looks right at the moment but you may notice they don’t fit well later. I have gone through this by getting larger lenses before to help with the same problem you got. Morganthal Frederick is an authorized Cartier dealer. They have locations in NY, CT and DC. They can do prescriptions and also custom lenses etc. if you want local, google authorized Cartier dealer near you and see if something pops up. The place I showed you can make your prescriptions with your eye exam info etc. most places who are authorized Cartier dealers are all starting to offer some sort of customized options now. They usually outsource tinted lenses but say you get a pair and the clear demo lenses that come with it is what you would be okay with. Any glass place that does prescriptions would be able to take those factory demo lenses and duplicate them with a clear prescription. For me, I have wider temples so a lot of the demo lenses that come with these frames are a bit too small for me so I’ve always had to get them customized, even the clear lenses. Where do you buy customized Lense separate from the Glasses and *do all Cartier glasses come with screws kit?*

    • @Jsean
      @Jsean  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought my kit on my own from Amazon. It’s super cheap. Jewelers who sell custom Cartiers will usually have access to custom lenses even if you didn’t get your frames from them. In my experience they order a certain style in bulk where as I got some of my recents from an authorized Cartier dealer who also deals with customized lenses. They will sell some with the customized lenses or like with me I ordered a few lenses 100% original to my measurements and color or clear that I picked from scratched. Hope that helps. 💪

      You usually have to ask for it as they up charge for it at least the authorized dealers that I’ve been too. The thing is it’s cuz it’s optional as some may not like it and to be honest you can get any word engraved there. The demo lenses that come with it are engraved with a logo usually on the bottom corner of one lens. It screams demo and fake prescriptions to me so I wouldn’t wear it like that personally. Any of the wires are usually cheaper. The Big C’s, my santos (gold) ones in here, little c’s and any of the ones with the plastic like frames are on the lower end. Those all retail at about $1000 and go up. Some of the real issue is getting them for retail. Only way is to find an eyewear location that is an authorized seller of Cartier. They are even starting to sell customized lenses etc and outsource those lenses. Oh but yea the Big C’s can be customized. I have those too. I got rid of them but still have one pair left and they have red lenses in them. If you scroll through my videos and look at the thumbnails you will see me wearing them. I only wore them in one video. I have a Burberry vest on I think in the thumbnail. Hope that Helps! 💪

I believe a lot of jewelers gets their tinted lenses from overseas etc. and they do it in bulk so it’s not customized to your exact likings. I will say getting them from an authorized dealer vs a jeweler is that you can customize it 100% and they will sit on the frames more naturally too. Sorry I’m just seeing this. It’s only because of wherever they get the lenses made don’t offer that. It’s just an option that some places have. Some put Cartier in their font, some even put a huge logo or you can even put your own custom word. They just have to offer it in the first place. It’s around a few hundred to add it and they do it by the letter count if i remember. Rip off but some like it. Its not necessary but I prefer it.
