Another great video brother, I’m a member of a 1% club in Australia. My hang around and prospecting period was a total of nearly 3 years before being patched in. Now I’m still here 9 years later. Definitely want quality members over many members. #GHOSTIN

Recently got invited to start hanging around a mc out here. And what I love is that this is the FIRST club I been around that didn’t immediately talk to me about membership the first day. They told straight up, just hang around and get to know everybody. Then I overheard one of them talk about the prospects saying that they seven months in and are nowhere near ready. All this automatically made me respect the club and actually wanna know more. They ain’t come off too damn thirsty.

I’m currently in the Hang around process and for a riding club and one thing I was told was that I have to hang around for a minimum of 1 year and once I reach prospect it’s a minimum 1 year as a prospect and with me being a hang around I still put forth the work same as the prospects and I just jump in and do it because I respect the club

Back in '70, before black leather, baggers, and bikes with radios, I got to be a hangaround with the Dirty Dozen in Phx, they taught me how to weld, what scrap yard had parts, how to extend a springer and rake out a neck. They kept me safe from other M.C.s, and let me ride with them on weekend nights. Great times for a kid in high school. Later, met a Chapter Pres while in MCSO Durango Unit and got invited to their house party. They're patched over now with Sonny. Can't wait to get back to AZ. Thx for your vid ! #ghostin Saludo Boricua! Sose dropping wisdom once again. You having to repeat how important is to hang-around a club must mean how critical that is. Personality is everything! More nuggets of wisdom: "anything that's worth something is going to require hard work", "you want the best looking girl in town, you've got to put in the work", "study the room" (that one works in every situation, work, or professional environment. Talking about what you don't know around people that you just met is a universal signal of immaturity. That's why I keep saying that MC culture has so much to offer to developing men these days. Anyone that can maintain a fake personality for three years is probably a sociopath. Loving the videos brother!

I started off as a hangaround, and very quickly moved up to prospect, but I EARNED the club's respect. The club is 99%, a clean and sober MC. Every member is in recovery from addiction or alcoholism. They rock a three tier cut with the MC square. Unfortunately I recently got put back down to hangaround for 90 days because I acted in a way that was unbecoming. (For any hangaround or prospect out there, if you are wearing a club patch prospect or full member patch you represent said club and your actions will be attributed to the entire club. Act like it.) I am lucky because the MC that I ride with didn't turn their backs but embraced me and my 90 day hangaround period I'm serving now is just an opportunity for me to learn what I failed to learn the first time around. Anyway I thank you for your videos and just wanted to share my experience with the MC that I ride with.

#prospect - It was quick more or less. But I was a hang around a club and support club for almost 2 years before I even got a bike and decided to go for it. They told me several times "get a bike and we'll talk" so I finally did and Here I am 63 days in as a PROSPECT. It's cool. Obviously I can't say what club or anything. I'm just a prospect. I don't know much. Love the channel Sose.

Great video! I'm not in a MC but what you said is very true. Anything worthwhile takes time.
People can't hide things forever. It takes time for you to see how a person will handle themselves. Time reveals a person's character, personalty & dependability. To have a solid organization of any type you need to have these 3 traits locked in before you even start to invite someone into the inner circle.

  • @ces73

Much love my brother. Ive told a lot of new comers, hang around, and prospects "never pass up a good chance to shut up" meaning watch and learn, take it all in and learn from someone elses F'ups. Lessons learned dont have to be direct to you. lol But with this instant gratification culture, nobody wants to put in the work to get there. And like you said, fast tracking leads to wrong people being let in !

Another great episode. Love your channel! I hungaround for a year before prospecting, and glad I did, agree with you about taking your time, get to know the club. One thing you didn't cover but I feel is MOST important: Don't be showing off in front of club members when you're a hangaround. Don't be doing burnouts or wheelies, don't be showboating your bike, don't be bragging about the prison time you served or the kind of drugs you do, or any of that shit. We had a hangaround just this last weekend leaving a BBQ at a member's house revvin his engine and making tons of racket, and tried to pull a burnout as he left, and then the cops showed up 10 minutes later. Homeboy just fucked himself, he won't see a prospect patch for at least a year, and might get slapped next time the member sees him who hosted the BBQ. He won't be welcomed or invited to many events for a while. Stay humble, be polite, keep your mouth shut. DO NOT SHOW OFF. When you're a hangaround, you're a nobody, get used to it and comfortable with it because it's even more true when you prospect. Your job is to learn about the club and its members, to learn about protocol and how to handle yourself. A lot of the older guys think showboats are snitches, so remember that. Play it cool.

Club needs to follow there protocol & not waver due to new circumstances ⁉️ The longer he hangs out before u decide to let him prospect he will show his dedication & stamina in wat he wants to be apart of/ if it’s to easy he might wonder wat kind of outfit is he joining up with. U are exactly right/ quality/ not quantity. U gotta make it hard so u know u are getting a solid individual who is in it for the long haul/ & u can feel comfortable that this person will have ur back, under any circumstance!!!! Ur club is only as good as its weakest link⁉️ Have a great day SOSE!!!! Be safe/ be strong/ & God Bless!!!🦅🏍⚒⚡️☠️

Family first is my biggest thing no matter who you are to me (I’m adopted so bonds are stronger than blood) but people have forced me to live a lone wolf style but it’s really not for me. I guess I got lucky I got a reputation as a serious rider that rides all year despite weather and rides dangerous roads for fun and rides fast and was approached 2 years ago by 2 clubs to join I turned em down until last month and I finally said yes as they were starting a new chapter in my town and with me being the 1st to join I've been given the vp position, or at least that's what I thought till I asked the prez and he said chose me as vp because how I carry myself and because I'm such a dedicated rider that respects all others until there's a need for disrespect. We currently have 9 members in the chapter and working our way towards pres getting reblessed and the rest of us getting blessed and vested but the club has been all love and fun and that's why I finally agreed to join love of bikes and respect for your brothers on 2s which is what bike life should be imo

#GHOSTIN I have done the Hang around thing and did 9 months as a Prospect, for personal reasons the club asked me to step away to take care of them but ended up getting hit by a car on my bike. I am in the process of getting back in the life and I 100% agree with everything you tell the folks. Civilians that don't understand might never understand but those that want it figure it out or learn and if not well we know how that goes. MLH&R

I see too many clubs that care only about numbers. They care more about riding deep than finding real, like minded brothers. I'd rather role 5 deep with four brothers that I can trust with my life, my wife, and my kids, than roll 50 deep down the highway with a bunch of guys that I don't know shit about. The desire for big numbers makes it way too quick and easy to get a patch.

I’m at hang around stage now. The president is giving me education. Letting me know to be myself don’t give it the big one, ask as many questions as I want, if they don’t want to answer they will say, itherwise they giving me all the answers I need. And he says don’t be so eager , don’t force it, let it happen. He says come when you want, leave when you want. Be respectful is the main point. My problem is I don’t want to go every single day like I’m wanting something from them or if I annoy them….so I’m dropping by twice or so a week. I in my mind if I go every day I maybe sat there sometimes when I’m not wanted.
Last week I was about , and the president had a call that there was a dude in town claiming a patch from another MC. The president made a few calls to check dude out, and he was talking rubbish…he said ok bro, we calling a meeting, you can come sit in if you want but shut the f up. He already educated me on what maybe happens to dudes who are faking an MC……so I sat back and chilled out of their meeting just to show resepct and show that I’m not desperate. What I did hear tho that the president of the MC the dude was faking to , said it’s possible he signed his own death warrant….
Anyway I’m already educated steer wise….1% have the same view as myself, we don’t give a f…..but for me it’s if the whole MC and how they go about their business , if it fits in with me, and also if I fit in with them and how can I benefit the MC as a whole. And yeh it’s a long process which is right. I remember the week after I spoke about it with them, the president came and said yep, we know everything about you lol I was like damn….I got nothing to hide tho…they know my criminal background , and how I roll 😂 they more interested to see if you got the balls and not no informer. Anyway I’m chilling with it, laying in the cut and see what happens.

Damn this is a really important one. I've seen a lot of guys get pushed through real fast and it's always a bad thing. You got to do it old school then when you get it -it's a huge honor! and it's a really big deal! It's so beautiful - when that day comes and you get surprised and presented with your cut it's a huge celebration- it's awesome. You know then when you're flying your club's colors you've earned that badass that's why it's so important for not just anybody to be sporting the gear logos patches etc... Getting patched out signifies reaching a certain level in that warrior culture becoming more of a man and that's what that's supposed to represent and that's what you feel when you look at it when you see guys rolling down the street rolling down the highway whether it's by them on their own are with more of the brothers you just got to know that's some badass men right there! When they start to push that shit through too fast it's taking away from that gross period that's really necessary to achieve that status that the cut represents and likewise all the patches and whatever else the club is utilizing as an indication of graduating to the next level so to speak....... Don't you know that's why all the chicks want to get with you all! Like a good bottle of wine or some whiskey you don't ever want to pop that thing before it's time could just ruin all the potential!

I did most of what you said, but I did ask a few questions about some certain patches. My buddy answered a few, but then told me I ask to many questions. I read between the lines and asked them in private. It was a 1% club and they all treated me like family and invited me back for their next party. I also strongly agree about drinking. The way i see it, as a prospect you do what you are told, your not talking, your not acting how you’d actually act. As a hangaround we get to see your temperament, your flaws, your habits, the way you think, and if your gonna fit in with that chapter. If we ask you to prospect its because we liked what we saw in that year of hangaround status. We make it a year cause someone can easily put up a false front but in a year it’s easy to find someone slipping.

The hang around process was great because it made me realize how much I loved it as well as how I wasn’t ready to dive any deeper with a family and all. I also got to see critical mistakes goof balls made to get into bad situations with serious people, a few ending up pretty ugly. Just be you, Be solid, show respect, know your spot in the hierarchy of the culture, don’t be a drunken idiot, and use caution around women you don’t know.
A lesson from nature: Dominant male Gorillas don’t bother the young males until the young males start beating their chests. That’s when the dominant males go and teach the young males who’s who and what’s what…. usually resulting in the young males running back to their mothers 😄

    #Ghostin #hangaround #LEMC
I’ve been lurking around for awhile soaking up the wisdom you put out. You’re an old soul in a youngblood body bro. What spoke to me the most was to be true and honest about who you are, and what’s most important to you. Also to value yourself; yes I’m a lowly hangaround to be followed by prospect but I have a lot to offer a club and I only wanna pour that out on brothers who are worth it.
I’ve “struggled” a long time over whether I wanted an outlaw MC or an LEMC (I come from a military/LE family heritage although I’ve been neither). I found a club that’s primarily sheriff’s deputies and Air Force military police. But I’ve found that these are solid guys, with a sense of brotherhood that rivals the outlaw clubs I’ve hung around with. They also are involved in anti-pedophile ops, which is something I’ve already been doing. Long story short, I found my “home”- with guys I know will be there for me, in a place I don’t have to remotely worry about getting in “trouble” or compromising my morals, but they also take zero shit, never back down, and stay strapped 24/7 (one requirement is a TX or NM concealed array permit with elite-level USCCA carry insurance, which I already had anyway). And they’re involved in an honorable and important work to stop child abuse.
Sorry for the book, Sose. I just wanna say thanks. If you’re club is smart, they’ll maneuver you to sit on the CoC board. Thanks man.
