make your own Peanut Butter with the Ninja 1200 blender - so easy a 3-yr-old can do it :)

  • My son & I make our own raw peanut butter. We did not add any ingredients to this "recipe", just unsalted roasted peanuts off the shelf at the grocery store.
Ninja Kitchen System 1200 - a little more power than the original Ninja 3-blade blender.
For the price, this blender is amazing. To make peanut butter all you have to do is toss in shelled peanuts and turn it on the highest setting. After a couple minutes it liquifies the nuts into peanut butter.
I haven't tried it YET, but I would imagine you could make any kind of nut butter.
Making snow (and then snowballs) with this blender is a lot of fun, especially here in sun-drenched Florida - that will have to be another video...

Not sure if you will be happy with the results if you are used to a juicer. The Ninja seems to have an inherent problem in that stuff gets lodged in the corners of the pitcher as the blades spin. You'll end up with some stuff not as fine as the rest - hopefully this makes sense.

How would the oyster 1100 compare to the making nut butter in this Ninja ?
      Price aside
Price is so close , i would pay the extra for the better machine to do this
Does the oyster 1100 have more accessories etc?
Im guessing the oyster 1100 is 1100 watts , this Ninja is 1200 watts
      So a bit more powerful

bstaneland Thanks for posting that entire process. I saw your video when I was checking out some infomercials for blenders/food processors and a video that compares vita mix and Ninja; checking them all out to see which one I want to get. Your little boy is adorable and he's so happy, open and obviously creative. I can tell, just from this video that you and your wife are great parents. I love the way you corrected him nicely, but also had a sense of humor about it. I have been really surprised at the versatility of the Ninja. Like you pointed out, it liquified the peanuts without issue. But I've learned with making smoothies in the Ninja that it takes longer than the V-style container blenders (I actually found it quicker to make my smoothies in that style of blender). The Ninja has to run longer to make sure it blends everything well, but will eventually do a great job. Hope this helps.

Peanuts are peanuts whether you buy planters or great value in the end it's just PEANUTS.

Prepper No, peanuts are only good as the soil they are grown on and the chemicals sprayed on them.

Normally I can't stand children. But your child is wonderful. From the very start when he was pouring the peanuts in the blender he was so careful and attentive. And when he responded to your question with a "No thank you" wow, your child is bright and well mannered. You are doing a great job and I believe he will excel in life. And I like how he calls it like he sees it when pouring the peanut butter. Congratulations.

Thank you for your kind words. That is great to hear about your green smoothie (& your weight loss of course). As I type this I am drinking a green smoothie made with spinach. Because of the offsetting flavor created by the fruits I add it tastes great - I would imagine you have the same experience :)

I love my ninja duo with auto-iq. I have used it every day for the last 4 years. I get excellent results four sauces, dressings, salsa and pico de gallo, soups, smoothies, and homemade hummus. The smaller blending cups do make things smoother than the large container

Thanks! For the reasons you mentioned is why we started making our on peanut butter. Our son likes PBJs and even the "natural" peanut butter off the shelf still had loads of unnecessary ingredients, which is why we started making our own.
