Being a newbie to tumbler designs, I can't tell you how helpful this tutorial has been to me. I have had so many fails that I was about to give up. This tutorial has given me new hope! Thank you so much.
#REPLAY I’ve been wanting to try this. I have everything, but I’ve been so reluctant to try it. Thanks for doing this beginner video for us who have never done this before, and want to learn. 5:02 By the way, I live near Tybee Island. 🏝️ My friend lives there. Donna Coastal Georgia
Thank you for finally explaining WHY you should prep tumblers. I have been wondering why and no one ever says lol I enjoy watching these videos yet I am not interested in actually adding another hobby, nor do I think I could slip it by my husband 😂 Even though I don't do this art I love watching it and my personality likes to know all the knowledge either way. Thank you for sharing your talents and knowledge. I appreciate your time and help you give so many people. ❣️💙🤗
Thanks Mal! I’ve already learned so much from you. You explain things so well! 😁 Do you mind me asking, what is the distance between each of your glitter shelves? It looks so perfect!! 😁
Loved how thorough you are in your videos! I'm new to epoxy and applied glitter, sealed, then epoxy, sanded, epoxy again. I'm on the third coat and the tumbler feels grainy. Is it the glitter I used? Not sure how to get this thing smooth. Do I need to sand more? It felt smooth before the epoxy and now its grainy (as if it was glitter). Your advice is much appreciated, thank you! My next tumbler I'll try epoxy twice before I sand - based on your video. Hopefully it does the trick. Just don't know if I can fix the other one that I already created.
I don’t think so. It’s just a matter of preference. For some designs spray paint is way easier (like peek a boos and ombres, etc) but other than that I don’t think one is better than the other
you can use pretty much any sticker. I create a lot of my own SVGs, but also get a bunch from Etsy and Creative Fabrica. I cut them out on my Silhouette Cameo. I hope that helps!
When you are waiting for the first layer or epoxy to dry with the glitter on it, do you let it dry on the cup turner or on a stand? Thank you for this tutorial. I love watching your channel!
Hello. I am watching videos to embark on the journey of making tumblers (yes I am a beginner but the other way sounds better 😅). I absolutely loved your video. It is extremely helpful thus I have now subscribed. My questions about this video are 1 - Why wasn't the decal added after sealing the glitter but before adding the epoxy? 2 - Can it be done that way as well?
Thank you! You can’t put a decal over a rough glittered surface or it will look bumpy. So I always glitter, seal glitter, epoxy, sand, then decal. That ensures the decal goes on a perfectly smooth surface and looks the best it can!
Hello!! Can you please, please make a video of your top favorite colors. I keep ordering glitter online, and when I receive it, it's not what I wanted. I would love to see your top 3 blues, reds, whites, pinks, etc. TIA❤
I haven't started messing with tumblers yet, but this video made me feel comfortable to start. Random question, is it possible to have you list everything you used here in a comment? I don't want to miss anything when I'm getting it.
I wish you would be more specific on dry times and wait times between coats of epoxy. Especially for beginners. Your method seems good but your wait times etc even amounts of epoxy used are not clear.
It heavily depends on your environment, type of epoxy, time of year, & other factors. If I told you my exact dry time, your experience could be entirely different if you’re under different circumstances. For example, for a fast setting epoxy, I could wait anywhere between 2 and 6 hours, purely depending on the temperature of my room. It’s trial and error. But I would recommend reading your bottles of epoxy for the recommended dry times and directions for use of that specific brand.

Oh this makes me so happy! I’m so glad it’s been helpful for you 🩷🩷 don’t give up!

❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much you have no idea how much this video has helped me visualize how a glitter tumbler should be done
I truly wish I would’ve had someone do this when I first started. This broke everything down and was easily understood too!
I’m so happy to hear that. Thank you 🥰
It's great to bring it back to the basics sometimes
Absolutely!
This is the best glitter tumbler tutorial I have watched. Thank you for breaking it down so well. This was so helpful, you are amazing!
I am so happy to hear that it was helpful! Thank you SO much! ❤️❤️
Thank you for this! I’m not a beginner and I’m not in your high class of creating, but it’s alway good to go back to basics.
thank you thank you thank you. I'm just getting into this crazy stuff. I've watched so many tutorials and you're my favorite. Thank you so much
I’m so happy to hear that 🩷 thank you
This is so pretty! I love that it’s so simple…the beautiful glitter color doesn’t get lost with printed vinyl(s). Thank you!! ❤
Thanks!
What a great video. You explained everything so thoroughly. Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you Mal, I'm starting out in the world of glitter and epoxy, I hope to learn with you, I'm 72 years old grandmother🧓
Thank you for being so thorough
Thank you, so much for this! My almost 48 yr old brain needed some help, for sure! I loooove the music, too. Very disco-esque!
You’re so welcome! 🩷
And thank you! I love me some disco! Lol
Great tutorial! Thanks for trying to share the love for tumbler making!
Thanks Mal! I’ve already learned so much from you. You explain things so well! 😁 Do you mind me asking, what is the distance between each of your glitter shelves? It looks so perfect!! 😁
Thank you! I’m so happy to hear that!
I think I made them 8 inches from the bottom of one shelf to the top of another
Nice technique. Love the way you did the lettering. ❤ this color and glitter.
Thank you ☺️
Very helpful tutorial being new to this craft. Thank you.

Of course! 🩷
Beautiful simple design! Love the decal especially ❣️🥰
Thank you! 😊
Very helpful. Thank you!
So much great information! And another beautiful glitter application and cup!
Thank youuu ☺️
Very good video/instructions. Pretty tumbler. 😊 Tfs.
Thank you ☺️
what was the name of the stuff you put over the decal first before the epoxy
Glitter glue from the crystalac company
thank you
I thought it was polyacrylic? Could u link which one from Walmart you use? Also, can that be used to seal the glitter?
I love this color on you!
Aw thank you!!
Thank you for all your information. Cute tumbler.
You’re welcome! And thank you!
Great tutorial Mal!! I’m sure this video will be helpful to many!! Love the quote and the beautiful blue glitter ✨! Take care sis
Thank you so much! You too! 🩷
So pretty ❤❤
Thank you
Can you use glitter spray paint to speed up the process
You probably could, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Is there any advantage to using spray paint over the brush paint?
I don’t think so. It’s just a matter of preference. For some designs spray paint is way easier (like peek a boos and ombres, etc) but other than that I don’t think one is better than the other
do you have a video of how to make the offset?

im a new and was wanting to know more about your decals how to get them and how to apply them or can any sticker work. thank you
you can use pretty much any sticker. I create a lot of my own SVGs, but also get a bunch from Etsy and Creative Fabrica. I cut them out on my Silhouette Cameo. I hope that helps!
Great tutorial, thank you. Can I seal my glitters with clear spray paint?
Yes you absolutely can!
When you are waiting for the first layer or epoxy to dry with the glitter on it, do you let it dry on the cup turner or on a stand? Thank you for this tutorial. I love watching your channel!
I put it on a stand :) and thank you so much! 🩷
What trype of vinyl do you use?
Do I have to used the fast epoxy
Nope, you can use regular!
Where did you get the tumblers from?
I think that specific cup is from Craft Haven
Hello have you tried using glitter paint on a tumbler if not could you try it out I'm really curious
I have not tried it! My guess is that it would work! But it won’t give you this level of glitter/sparkle

Also, sealing the glitter just makes epoxy application easier. That step isn’t necessarily mandatory, but I always try to do it if I have time!
@@madebymal_studio Thank you - I understand now....🙂
How do u advertise your cups? Facebook
