Marc Thank you kindly. Much appreciated. I'm going to get my hands on this scent. You really helped me decide. Love your honesty & the way that you explain everything to us! Us not anywhere near as knowledgeable in such a fine intriguing & complex art. 🎉Thanks mate. ❤
Love the shirt, tie and sweater combo. 👔 So many people sad to see the Chong era come to a close, myself among them. But time waits for no man or woman and I suppose it was inevitable. I feel like this was an underrated scent from the brand. But you can be sure I'll be listening close when you finally get to compare Jubi with its extrait flanker. Sebastian mentioned it was far more camphorous and eucalyptus-y? We shall see.
Cheers Marc, I do have this one and I ,on memory it was very pleasing, yeah like you say I was more focused on chasing down bottles for the collection and on reflection, ( yep another one bought, sniffed and forgotten) have kinda not seen the individual trees for the forest 😊,but of late I am rediscovering so many purchases and actually getting to appreciate each for their individual merit and my collecting obsession has finally abated thankfully and I appreciate how you have broached this fact here today in this excellent Test Drive video ✌️🙏👍
Beautiful bottle & juice Robes, just sampled this a few days ago, on spraying this reminded me of Kouros but in a soapy way, then branching out to give off Farenheit vibes, from mid to the end it somehow reminded me of Grey Flannel without retro feel, this perfume is complex for sure, great review 👍🏻
I get the nod to Fahrenheit but not a clone at all. Totally get the caraway, leather, soapiness and the floral facets of it, this is why I like to smell the fragrance while watching your videos, once your more experienced nose points you to the right direction you'll get everything and you can compose a better picture of it, this is intellectual entertainment!!! 🤓 Love the fragrance, since the first time I sample it was instant love. I totally get what you say about a big collection that's why I'm trying to keep mine as small as possible even if it's impossible 😬 Great Test Drive really enjoyed it, thank you Marc!!!
I've tried Portrayal Man and I own a couple early 90s bottles of Fahrenheit. Portrayal was okay, but Fahrenheit is a top 5 designer fragrance for me. Can't get enough of it. Not a huge fan of the newer Amouage releases, but I still treasure my bottles of Epic, Lyric and Jubi. Appreciate the test drive, Marc.
Great insight! Haven't tested it and sometimes I wanted to pull the trigger, but I'm a bit afraid it will be similar not to Fahrenheit, but to Narciso Rodriguez For Him (EDT). I have 2 bottles of Narciso as it's discontinued and I'm a huge fan of it... My only Amouage atm is Beach Hut Man that I love. Cheers!
peace✌️ Man great work as usual! Totally agree with what you said about the bottle. Also after staring at this bottle way too long, I realized many things. Here's 3: The 3 notes are a portrayal of the primary colors, and vice versa. The mixed rainbow colors we see shifting are a portrayal of the accords we smell developing, and vice versa. The bottle is a portrayal of the fragrance, and vice versa.
Love this fragrance one of the few that when I smell just makes me happy. It really is a mood changer very bright even just smelling the atomizer. Have you tested any of the ATH fragrances? I bought the discovery set and I am impressed with Hard candy and Notorious
Waiting for Black Iris to show up . Feel like I got a good deal on it so I pulled the trigger . I will probably sample this one before I buy , heading out today to Atlanta to get my nose on as many as I can . Thanks for the content my friend.
Well said, to me its an oily violet leaf. Fahrenheit is light and ozonic but Portrayal man is oily and deep. I haven't tried beach hut man and sunshine man but at the moment, Portrayal man is my favourite Amouage 😊
Really impressed by the breakdown of the scent. I had put it on while watching your video and it seemed to be like a harmonious story telling which you can experience all the way 😊. Btw when I first sprayed it, it seemed very familiar ……. And then it hit me. It’s very similar to Narcisso Rodriguez for him the grey bottle. Have you tried that one?
Outstanding fragrance. Super smooth violet leaf. I love the Chong era, but I also feel Renaud Salmon is doing a great job, too. He had some pretty big shoes to fill. For me he has only had 3 flops in Guidance, Lineage & Purpose. King Blue wasn't for me either, but I appreciate the artistry. Meander was a great scent but poor performance. Love all the rest.
Yea..I'm one of these guys who wait for your Amouage reviews. LoL Would love to see you review Overture (Woman). Completely unisex and my favorite amouage. Period!
This is definitely one of the strongest & most tenacious fragrances I have tried (I am an oversprayer & my skin "eats" fragrance)... so much so that I'm reluctant to buy it.
Great review, like always. I am confused by this one, I do get the Fahrenheit reference right away. I do wonder, why would you gather such a huge collection, after all they are alcohol with perfume oil -> vinegar in not long time and if you don´t use most of them, it´s literally money on the window. Maybe you can make a video, about the benefits of having a great collection? Take care
I have many now in the collection that are 20+ years old and still smell great. There's not much benefit to have a large collection, the journey , the references are great to have tho.
Wonderful. I came across this one about a year ago - tester blind buy along with Figment. Both are very interesting to my nose. Figment is definitely an acquired taste tho.
My 1st signature scent outta high school 1995 was Fahrenheit with a steel cap & & stout was an understatement! I purchased this one thinking it might be a stronger Fahrenheit profile than what they give us now days
I am one of the people who just watches reviews of amouage and other certain brands, haha. I've always been disappointed by designer frags and a lot of other brands... Stuff like amouage also just sees so much more interesting. Not to mention I can't afford/don't want to spend collecting all these different brands!
Love Amouage, love Christopher Chong’s work and direction. Not convinced at all by the new guy yet tbh. Most from the new era I’ve felt were underwhelming , and I’m discounting the flankers of the likes of Interlude because the DNA of those fragrances are from the Chong days. The new original stuff hasn’t been my cuppa, but I did like Meander a lot
The first full bottle amouage I bought. Amazing scent! It feels 3 dimensional and alive and throbbing on my skin. I felt like it takes me on a journey. This and Reflection 45 are my favorite amouage at the moment. Great and very accurate review. An under appreciated gem!
I haven't tried this one yet but it certainly sounds interesting. I'm way behind on Amouage releases. Maybe it's time for me to just order a bundle of decants.
Some people compare it with Narciso Rodriguez for Him, and I love Narciso Rodriguez for Him, but unfortunately it has been discontinued, do you get this similarity?
Marc Thank you kindly. Much appreciated. I'm going to get my hands on this scent. You really helped me decide. Love your honesty & the way that you explain everything to us! Us not anywhere near as knowledgeable in such a fine intriguing & complex art. 🎉Thanks mate. ❤
My pleasure!

Appreciate it, it's been a while since I wore a tie on camera lol. Yes Jubi 40 just skyrocketed to the top of my list.
This is amazing amouage will always have a place in my shelf. Thanks Marc 👍
My pleasure!

Appreciate you! Thanks for coming by as usual!
The bottle reminds me of an oil slick on a puddle, or maybe gasoline.
FANTASTIC BREAK Down.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Much appreciated
Thanks for the samplin samples video Marc! As always loving the content. I love the house of amouage they dont disappoint.
No problem my friend! Amouage hardly misses especially in the Chong era.
I get the nod to Fahrenheit but not a clone at all. Thank you for the amazing comment, love seeing people get into the reviews like you do. Appreciate it so much!
This one is an unsung hero. It's a great warm weather scent from a house that doesn't make too many like that. It seems simple but has some depth.
tons of depth
I've tried Portrayal Man and I own a couple early 90s bottles of Fahrenheit. Portrayal was okay, but Fahrenheit is a top 5 designer fragrance for me. Can't get enough of it.
Not a huge fan of the newer Amouage releases, but I still treasure my bottles of Epic, Lyric and Jubi. Appreciate the test drive, Marc.
That's an excellent rio of Epic, Lyric and Jubi! Appreciate your take!
Love your work. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!

Beach Hut is a belter isnt it...
It's not like NR for him, it's safe to sniff tbh
Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try it and have a blessed day
Thank you! You too!
You welcome keep up the good work and thank you very much GOD BLESS 🙏
A few people in the youtube frag comm produce in xepth reviews. Kudos to ypu! Lovely review!
Thank you so much 🙂
peace✌️ Man great work as usual!

Amouage is full of surprises even with the bottles.
Picked up this sleeper around a year ago from a previous owner, its great stuff, I love it 👍
Great scent, happy to see you got it from a previous owner.
They are so underrated. Love this house.
Don't think Amouage is really underrated anymore. They used to be.
Love this fragrance one of the few that when I smell just makes me happy. It really is a mood changer very bright even just smelling the atomizer. Have you tested any of the ATH fragrances? I bought the discovery set and I am impressed with Hard candy and Notorious
It is a gorgeous scent. As for ATH, I have no interest in the brand.
Waiting for Black Iris to show up . Feel like I got a good deal on it so I pulled the trigger . I will probably sample this one before I buy , heading out today to Atlanta to get my nose on as many as I can . Thanks for the content my friend.
Enjoy your trip to the A. Hopefully you sniffed a few good ones.

Great comment on this scent. Thanks for sharing!
Looking sharp Mark!
Thanks! Appreciate it

Perfect review 🙌🏽 I LOVE AMOUAGE
Thank you!

In 2024 I'll keep checking out the Salmon era but I also want to start delving into the Chong feminine's which I haven't sniffed.
@@robes08 Some of my fave Chong Woman's are Epic, Lyric, Sunshine & Overture. All unisex really. Also Material from new era.
Yea..I'm one of these guys who wait for your Amouage reviews. LoL Would love to see you review Overture (Woman). Completely unisex and my favorite amouage. Period!
I do need to start sniffing the feminine line.
This is definitely one of the strongest & most tenacious fragrances I have tried (I am an oversprayer & my skin "eats" fragrance)... so much so that I'm reluctant to buy it.
It's deceptive on strength.

Appreciate your take, two interesting Amouage releases.
My 1st signature scent outta high school 1995 was Fahrenheit with a steel cap & & stout was an understatement! I purchased this one thinking it might be a stronger Fahrenheit profile than what they give us now days
and what did you think of it?
@@robes08 Its better I bought it because I like it but hardly reach for it lol
My dad’s favorite cologne is Dior Fahrenheit is it similar do you think he will like this one?
ooh it's much more than Fahrenheit. He may like it but I'd get him a sample not a blindly bought bottle.
I am one of the people who just watches reviews of amouage and other certain brands, haha.
I've always been disappointed by designer frags and a lot of other brands... Stuff like amouage also just sees so much more interesting. Not to mention I can't afford/don't want to spend collecting all these different brands!
I respect that! Thanks for coming by!
Amouage is in the house!
🤟
Excellent one💙
100%
Sounds like a good 👍🏽 fragrance only have 2 amouage fragance Reflection man & Beach Hut man like them both wouldn't mind adding this one and more....
Great line to discover imo, well worth a discovery set or sampling.
Any thoughts on Mind Games or Merchant of Venice? Can't ever recall being so happy on finding a scent like I have on Vinegia 21. Great vid!
No, I haven't even heard of it tbh. Noted and see what it's all about later. Thanks!
I have this AMOUAGE ..I love this Fragrance Power house 🏠
They are great 👍
Its a beautiful fragrance. I brought mine around 2019 the only issue i have is the longevity its abit weak after the initial blast.
It def. is a great one!
Love Amouage, love Christopher Chong’s work and direction. Not convinced at all by the new guy yet tbh. I'm actually going to release a video on Meander today. It's solid, I agree.

I felt the same when I started 2023, I stopped checking after Chong left but I caught up a bit this year.
There are some Amouage that only YOU have done. The Amouage crew is alive and well. We appreciate your efforts!
Much love!
you are still my no1 reviewer👍
Appreciate it my friend!
I got a sample of this yesterday. It smells like an expensive, obnoxious, soapy soap. Nothing like Dior Fahrenheit to my amateur nose.
That's the Violet note.
Some people compare it with Narciso Rodriguez for Him, and I love Narciso Rodriguez for Him, but unfortunately it has been discontinued, do you get this similarity?
I have both, there is some similarity but they go in completely different directions imo.
I agree with the comment, it has some NR for him but they go in way different directions.
Not by me! Killer fragrance! 🔥
Good taste tho
Have you ever reviewed Memoir Man?
Not a full review, no.
What is your opinion on portrayal woman?
I'm starting to sniff the women's Amouage, have not gotten to Portrayal yet.
@@robes08 I am curious about Guidance too
K I T O N
One of my 3 favorite niche houses! Well, the Christopher Chong era anyway. Haven’t loved anything released since he left.
We miss him.
