- Howdy! Today Is Our First Day Of Corn Harvest! We ran into a few problems with our John Deere Combine... I'm a Grain Cart Driver and THIS is a Day in my Life.
My name is Elijah and I'm 15, 4th Generation Farmer. We farm 2000 acres of corn and soybeans in central Virginia. I run the Grain Cart with a John Deere 8235R and Corn Planter with a John Deere 7530. I mow during the summers with a John Deere Z960M Zero Turn.
Have a blessed day y'all!
Matthew 6:34 ESV
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Elijah. You are so awesome person for standing up for Jesus and being a witness for Him. I love watching all of your videos. You're doing a great job. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Have a blessed day😊
Great video nice work keep it up
Thanks so much! Will do
Looks like the corn crop was yielding some good 🌽 bushels 🌽 per acre! Thanks for sharing your work day! 👍 👋
Oh yeah, it was doing pretty good! Yeah dude thanks for watching!
I protest and say we should have harvest in Indiana and Michegan.
Great video, very excited for future videos!
Thanks!! Awesome, can’t wait to upload some more
Yahoo! This was so entertaining and educational. I was mesmerized. Thanks so much for putting it together.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it
Love the videos, my family’s dairy farm just started corn harvest
Thank you! Oh yeah, nice!
Hey bud, enjoying the harvest. Watching ya'll working together makes me fell good. Do you load and unload on the go or stop each time you unload the equipment?🤔 Thanks for all, looking forward to the next. Old Hickory, TN. 🇺🇸
Hey, awesome! In hilly fields we stop but in more flat fields we usually unload on the go. Of course man, glad you enjoyed!
I had to pause this fantastic video just a moment. You ask how I like your 6000 something-or-other etc. Actually I do not understand everything I know about them. You must define these thangs better for the agricultural ignorati! Thank you so much I dont know how I missed this the first few times I watched this. Old me maybe.
Oh yeah
Yes sir
Do you guys harvest on Sundays?
No not usually unless it’s about to rain or something like that. So not very often no. How about y’all?
@@OneFieldAttaTime just depends on the weather or the harvest conditions, cotton can be very particular sometimes
Oh ok gotcha, yeah I bet. I’ve never really seen that in action you could make long-videos about cotton harvest I would love watching that
Hi Elijah, In less than a week you've added almost 1,000 subscribers. That's AMAZING. I forgot to mention, your service truck with all your tools is awesome. Do you have aspirations to become a dental hygienist? By the way, GREAT video. Stay safe in the rain today.
I know, it’s absolutely crazy! Thank you! You as well, the rain is going to hit us hard.
Dude I can’t tell you how much I love you your vids they are so entertaining and just fun to watch I wish I was as good as you on making videos I’m not very good but good luck on harvest and keep on trucking can’t wait to watch more vids
Ohh thanks so much!! I mean making videos is pretty hard but if you want to do it just try and keep doing your best and learning that’s what I did and still do.
@@OneFieldAttaTime Yeah I know what you mean but keep up the good work and the video making I love them
@manneringfarms82 Will do!
Got question Elijah , on your grain Trailor , do those big fat tires have a PTO drive to help tractor ?
🙌💥😎🚜
I believe it’s just being pulled directly by the tractor.
One thing I don't understand, why not modify a :semi 4×4 big rig that treads lightly( with 1 or 2 trailers) and just loads directly from combine. Seems more efficient in terms of quantity and weight and overall fuel and maintenance saving by maximizing production with less equipment?
They already make purpose built trucks ( with/without trailers like I just described for mining/logging and agriculture in Brazil, Africa, etc. . And being these purpose built big rig 4×4s would be used for staging purposes on private property ( a farm),they would save tons of time, labor and fuel costs by transporting 100s of thousands of grain, etc. on site storage; no traffic laws to abide by. Suppose with some ingenuity, would not take much brains to afix nobby tractor tires to big rig axles and trailers?
A sterile ( new/used) transport ( aluminum/ stainless) milk/fuel ⛽ tank would make an excellent prototype ( with large hatch openings temporarily holding large quantities of grain, etc. from Combine.
