This is the up there with the pinnacle of smash content, you have managed to perfectly get across the vibe of these events that is truly unexplainable to most, i sadly missed fete 3 but attended fete 2 and some of the heir series and can say from experience you did a great job on this one, thank you for reminding us why we all play. You promoted the hell out of Fete and I thought "its gonna be a normal tournament nothing special" then I tuned in on friday or saturday to see hbox and zain on fourside drunk having a salty suite and I was invested. Seriously such an incredible tournament and as an 0-2 american player I want to go to fete 4.
Seriously one of the most impressive tournaments of the year. The other tournament that caught me off guard the past year was off-season, but Fete was super dope and I can't wait for the next one. Oh also britsh hbox as an announcer was incredible. Oh and the way they did pronouns on screen where it was the players choice if it was displayed or not was the way to do it. I dont really care about pronouns on screen but I have always been curious what the best solution was for them since its such a divisive topic and I think the way fete did it was the best I have seen. All in all such a cool tournament and I am glad to finally see what the venue was really like.
The Yarn ep at this place was a banger. Pontins is truly something

The accessibility at these places tend to be pretty good so they can cater to a wide audience, you should be fine, come through new members are always welcome

Yep, definitely sounds like Pontins. I went to Bang Face Weekender (an annual rave festival) in 2020 and 2022, which is held at Pontins Southport. It astounds me how these parks are allowed to exist but it somehow its shittiness is a big part of the festival's charm. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw that Fête's venue was at Pontins, knowing exactly how the smashers must've felt.
wow, amazing video! i watched the salty suite with zain and hbox but never knew about any of the other stuff that happened at this tournament. zain beatboxing at the end of grands made me smile
you sir are in the pantheon of Asumsaus, GRsmash, koianddrago, of melee content. This was incredible doc and i can see the love and passion you have for melee. Now you make me want to travel across the pond just for fete 4.

THIS is why we should love Melee, even if it's over 2 decades old.
Hbox being such an integral part of this Fête is a magical feeling, and I think that, among other things, it really speaks to how unimportant the actual bracket was for the enjoyment people got from Fête. Fête 3 was basically just a 400 entrant smashfest, and it was wonderful, even if I couldn't attend.

It doesn't matter your skill level don't worry, fete is for everyone, you will get a good amounts of bracket sets to play anyway, you can't go 0-2 you will get to atleast play a good 6+ sets more than worth the money for entry, the real value is the community vibes

Yes definitely, I can't guarantee anything because you never know with events but I'd say fete 4 is one of the best value bets to be a good time if it happens
