    Great video you have a good voice for teaching, but like others mentioned, the device says it only measures up to 1000ppm, how is it displaying higher than this and a 2.3 EC this is way higher than 1000ppm. You even mention the max output is 1000ppm, so if the full voltage at 5v is 1000ppm how is it reading higher on the video. Thank you

    Correct me If I'm wrong :
    The TDS Sensor you're using has a maximum reading range up to 1000 ppm, right? I just wanted to know how come it could have a reading up to 1195 ppm at 1:48 ?
    Hope this question is not offending :/

      Good question, mine has just arrived, i'll do some testing and post back results, perhaps his conversion factor for the voltage was off.

      @@CraigTalon Yes, i calibrated a cheap TDS pen with proper solution then configured the probe. I'm not measuring anything above 1000PPM (2 EC) so can't yet comment but when i set it up again (i had problems with the pH sensor and this in the tank at the same time due to EMI) i'll do a heavy saltwater test and see how far it can be pushed.     can I calculate ppm in the range of 1200 - 1800 using this tds sensor?? if not, what sensor should I use to calculate the ppm with that range

    the effect of sugar on tds value is depedant on the concentration of water percent of solution so major increase in sugar may have small effects on tds value but i guess this must not be a problem for a hydroponic system.

    Great video.
    The product spec mention that measurement range is up to 1000ppm. But, in your video, it shows >1100ppm. Can I can how is it possible?

    Hi, i got gravity tds meter from DSRobot. It has sensor range from 0 to 1200 ppm, but my sensor sometime can reach to 1800 ppm (9 times in 147 running), can you suggest what should i do? this is for my univ project :) thankyouu

    Why your aref = 4,3 volts ? shouldn't it be 5 volts?

      The 5 volts is just theoretical, in fact he measured from the device that only consumed 4.3 volts
