When I got divorced about 15 years ago I did a good one. I owned a company, but put it in the name of a friend and made myself an employee at a very small salary. When we went to court for child support I showed my paycheck stub and the air just left the room. I showed about $2000/month income when it was really 20k+. I wound up paying about $400/month in child support. I live in Latin America so I got away with it. In the US I think that is probably an old trick.

Dude played for Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and now plays for PSG. He was married to Spanish actress named Hiba Abouk who was 12 years his elder. When the divorce was announced, homegirl threw United Nations Level legal recourse to get as much money from him, including cars, multiple houses in different countries, a portion of his earnings, etc. She ended up realizing all of his assets were in his mother's name. 50% of marriages end up in divorce. 40% of marriages continue in misery. Some continue for the sake of children, some for the sake of the title "Married" and some because they can not afford a divorce. All & all its such an outdated establishment that requires major upgrades & overhauls if to be continued. Because marriage was introduced long ago & the world, the society & individuals, the thinking, the expectations were far different from modern days.

    • @michaelmarion7360
      @michaelmarion7360 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

I read your comment, but did not listen to the video.
I am a very strong advocate for "marriage". I put "marriage" in air-quotes because, in my opinion, it doesn't have to be legal to be a marriage.
I've been "married" for nearly 20 years with six children. I want all of my children to marry, but it doesn't have to be legal.
My daughters must be married young. As early as twenty, preferably to a man at least ten years older than her. They are being taught to be wives, to willfully subjugate themselves to a righteous man. They know that having a man and his offspring is the key to their life-long happiness. They have been taught, through my example, to pleasantly follow and obey a righteous man in all situations. Very soon I will explicitly explain to my oldest daughter, who is 16, that a husband sleeping with someone other than his wife is not an adequate reason to end a marriage. I want her to marry a Godly man, a man who is unapologetically masculine and logical, yet possesses the ability to acknowledge mistakes (humility) and is guided by duty, vision, wisdom, and truth (God's laws for man) ... but they can marry without legal paperwork. It's still a marriage without the state's stamp of approval.
I want my sons to marry too, but for different reasons. My daughter must marry because she must always be covered by a man. She will always live with me until she is married.
My son will ONLY marry for children. If any of my sons desire to NEVER have children, they don't have to ever be married. On their path, however, I encourage them to never sleep with virgins, always protect themselves from disease and unwanted pregnancies, and be 100% honest with their female acquaintances.
If my sons are like the 90% of men who want to procreate, they must marry. It is as simple as that.
Why? Because the woman cannot be trusted alone to raise children properly. A father must be ever-present to ensure his offspring are being optimized. When left alone to their mother, even a so-called good mother, the children will lean toward chaos. In fact, I would argue a woman is incapable of being a good mother without a man present to moderate her moods.
There are many men like yourself who propagate this message of "never get married", but it's irresponsible, short-sighted, and incomplete. The message should be "only get married if you want kids, and if you do, only marry (and impregnate) a woman who will stay with you without legality". There are scores of quality women who will stay with men without legal marriage, especially if you give them a ceremony and include them in your will.
I fully support your desire to never be married. I just pray, for the sake of the world, you also never have children, because what the world doesn't need are more weekend dads.
The peace and stimulation a child feels when their father is a good man and lives with them, at the same residence, knows no bounds, and it cannot be understated.

Rich, for a moment think back to your friend that was a complete bullshiter and gave you terrible advice ect. It probably left you with a bad taste in your mouth. You are providing great info not conjecture and hearsay here. You are also showing us one man's strategy to keep his wealth. Great information.

There is no way she is not going to sue him, and if she can prove that it was intentionally withheld, I can guarantee you that he will need to give her part of it. I don't think she should get a cent, but realistically I don't think this will play out that way.

Can’t she get her lawyers to take Spoelstra back to court and ask for more? A simple argument would be that he was awarded the new contract based on his past performance (which is when they were married). Just curious, not advocating for her or him. It is None of my business.

  • @tod3msn

Let's keep it real. Erik has made a fortune and a decade plus coach in the NBA. His estate was vast and I'm sure his spouse did fine. I'm sure his responsibilities with child support are good too. The new salary would be not as lucrative but she could have contested it and gotten a little more but she's out of the picture for most of the new contract so this is a tempest in a teapot. As for child support, that could always be adjusted so that's not an issue.

A state of bliss sounds like a 15 year old girls fantasy. Just to clarify, a state of bliss is not reality. Please explain how a state of bliss is a real world metric. Im 42 and have never experienced a state of bliss 😂 i make 120,000 and have been married since 30, together since i was 23. I appreciate rich's advice, but some of it is bullshit used to prop up his arguments. Having a succesful marriage is one of the hardest things you will do. A marriage is not meant to be a holiday.

1:45 - Seems to me we need to stop measuring success on the female psyche, which is emotional metrics such as the feelings of “love” & “a state of bliss”.
Since when in the natural world that we call “life” is it ever a good thing to remain in a supra-physiological state of highness ?
In every single case I can think of, it becomes a drug that makes one dependent upon it in order to function normally.
And when women expect their relationships to stay in this state of bliss as a measure of its success, they will quickly decide to move on in pursuit of “happiness”.
There simply couldn’t be a more superficial idea of marriage or relationships than that! Marriage is a an institutional covenant designed to procreate while still maximizing the quality of character in the humans being born and raised in the world.
It was NEVER supposed to facilitate a flippant feeling of bliss and general “happiness”. Those are emotional outcomes that come and go and which, generally speaking, exist as a result of purpose & effort.
I refuse to listen to this concept that women’s brains are more developed than men’s early on - this is NOT true - it’s absolutely absurd that grown-@$$ women will, in an effort to chase fleeting feelings, destroy all those relationships with people around them that value her the most.
Boys and girls should know the futility in chasing these fleeting feelings before they hit puberty.
