@@honeyplummm Not all Doc Martens give you blisters. I have a black pair that were comfy even when new, and a purple pair that still give me sore feet after I've had them for years

I‘ve actually got two pairs of these (one rolling part with two pairs of shoes) and I love them so much! Takes a while to get used to them at first, getting them on and off, but it‘s so cool to just wear your skates and shoes at the same time. For me it was also a bit difficult at first, because they of course didn‘t have a heel like I was used to, but the whole concept is just so brilliant that these are minor flaws. I use public transport a lot, where skates aren‘t allowed, so being able to just grab your wheels in hand without having to change is super useful! Big props to Flaneurz (by the way, that‘s not how you say it lol) for being the people to realise these dreams and also they‘re super eco conscious, so yeah, all due respect to them!
I was actually hoping for Indy to do a review on these for a long time, but got impatient and ended up buying them myself first, lol. If you‘re into these, they‘re definitely worth saving up for! Yes, they‘re expensive, but they‘re also good quality and assembled in France, custom-made just for you. Just giving as small insight, hahah. Also their community is super cool!
Alright, I‘m rambling, hahah. But yeah, great skates, so much fun. (And no, they‘re not paying me to say this - I wish they would, lol - it‘s just my opinion as a user, I‘ve had them for a good six months now :))

Sophi hi. I’m not sure if you still need the help but if you want to buy a whole new pair of roller skates you were probably in the wrong section on the website (look under SS20 and scroll down to the skates). If you’re just in search of a new shoe for the skate then the serial number is under your right rolling part. :)
Lol ik this is an old comment but are all the shoes compatible with the same wheels? So if you had 3 styles of shoes 1 set of wheels would work for all 3?
@@cardboredbox443 Yes, they do work with different sets of shoes! The first set you get will of course be a shoe and a plate, but after that you just need to send them the little code that is engraved on your plates when ordering shoes and you can get as many shoes for one plate as you would like. :) I personally own two pairs, one that is more like a sneaker and a pair of half-boots. The boots give a bit more support when cruising, whilst the sneakers allow for more mobility.
Another thing I've noticed after almost one and a half years of using them is that when you're walking with the shoes, sometimes the little metal plate underneath the shoe is audible, especially when walking on hard floors. But that's just a side note.

Actually it has already a shoes that flips up wheels if you dont need it the wheels can be inside the shoes
These have been on a market for a while but they are sooo expensive. Would love to get some in the future though, as they are indeed awesome and perfect for Europe, I think. I just bought a custom Jack set up though so it might take a looong time for me to save up again.
I mean, most of them are around €360, which is actually really good considering the shoes themselves are close €100.
@@GhostsWithSocks ah sure! And they are cheaper than I paid for my Jacks set up (over 600eur) and my antiks custom (around 500, without wheels). But it's still something to save up for. However, I do plan to get them eventually. :)
@@thatanxiousone6792 Same here! The most expensive set-up I currently have are my Riedell Ombre's. The skates themselves, plus the back wheels (Moxi Gummy), front wheels (Luminous ), toe stop (the rainbow Grindstone heart stoppers), and the cushions (basic Sure-Grip "Super Cushions")...I still only have a little over $250 (U.S.) invested in them. I want the ones Indy actually has...with the Iconic "plate" on them. 520 Euro is around $575 U.S....OUCH! That is...if they'll even deliver to the U.S. of course...

have you changed the wheels or the bearings before? is it possible to do so on these flaneurz skates?
Do you find the sole of the shoe has worn away significantly? Or is it pretty solid? I find shoes wear down pretty quick cos I'm flat footed and I don't want it to affect how the skates attach later :/

This looks like so much fun. A little over 20 yrs ago my friends called me roller girl because I practically lived in my roller blades. I miss it so much. I'm 67 now, with osteoporosis and compression fractures but I'll tell you, watching this wants me to risk my old bones just so I can roll like the wind!

I live in the middle of no where kansas so watching these videos are so surreal to me, just seeing Indy and Pigeon casually weave through traffic just has me mind blown.
When Chicago skates were the big kahuna back in the day, they had a model with a quick-detach plate that would let the boot be used as a shoe for a bit and allow you to skate again with the flick of a lever. Saw one pair at a local rink years ago and haven't seen another since. Nash Cruisers had a detachable shoe model in the early 2000's or so, again, they're pretty scarce. These are basically a new iteration on an old idea, and I hope it gains traction this time!

Right! From what I've seen, Flaneurz has a superior attachment system, quicker and stronger than what's gone before.

A great evolution of the old kiddies clip on skate taken to a more practical serious level. The old metal style clip on are almost impossible to find and the current Gumby clip on skates are only available in kiddy sizes featuring plastic designs that fall apart after a few uses so it's great to see this design in action. The system is a lot like road bike cleats, looks great. Best of all, there unisex. :)

What an awesome idea for skates!! I absolutely love the concept but the styles of shoes they offer aren't my jam. I would definitely buy some if Moxi did a collaboration! I love the style and colors of the Lolly boot and often wish I could wear them as regular street shoes. Moxi's boot combined with Flaneurz hardware would be a dream come true!! 😍

It's the first - and cheapest - option on their website, if you get the "First" plate thing on them...but it can get pricey with upgrades if you want/need the better "plates" on them. I'd LOVE to get the ones Indy has. Basic black goes with everything. Plus, as with any skate, you could always add your own (colorful) wheels, laces, and a different toe stop to really make them "yours". Don't know if they'd work with a heeled boot, though....by the looks of them, they may only be able to do it with a flat soled shoe. :(

Katherine Plautz can you feel the licking mechanism while on & off the rolling set up? When tour walking around as JUST SHOES. Can you feel the metal hookups? Same for if your skating? Can you feel the metal part on the bottom of the shoe? Hope I am making sense.
I've been wanting a pair of these for soooooo long! They would be great for traveling! It's so hard to decide WHICH SNEAKER to have them made from! Also that skate parade was the cutest thing ever and completely made my day! I'd love to see how you feel about these in the skatepark, maybe with some different wheels? I know they aren't really meant to be used that way, but I'm so curious how they skate on ramps! Please do another video of these but in the in the skatepark!!!

I thought of this back when I was a little kid rollerskating back in Jersey on the street. The store owners wouldn't let us in the store to buy candy and stuff with our skates. "I wish I could just take the wheels off the boots so I could just buy the candy". FINALLY!!!!!! The dream has been realized.

Most definitely going from a heeled skate to a flat is...weird. Then...there's me. At the rink, I like my current two favorites. Purple and Green Riedell Ombre on my left foot, with my Royal Blue Candi Girl Carlin on my right.....easier with the heeled skate on the right foot for all those left turns. Almost feels like you're stepping "up". Stepping "down" (heeled skate on left foot) can easily put you off balance. Yeah, I'M weird...but I love it when people notice. It started as a joke. One of the shuffle/speed skaters didn't see how the kid's coach, her daughter, me and my youngest could so easily go back and forth from a speed/derby skate to an artistic skate, so I told him, if you know how to skate, it's not that hard...had my Candi Girl's with me and just kind of....did it. It's now become somewhat of a tradition, once a month or so, I'll roll with one of each on for a couple songs. just for the laughs. It's mostly the smaller kids who notice first. Saw one poor little guy (probably around 4 or 5) trying to tell his mom, who apparently didn't believe him, so I rolled up and stopped right in front of her. The look on her face when her son pointed and she finally looked down.....PRICELESS! LOL

@@Sk8_365 The kid...yeah...can't re-create that one. LOL However, I do plan on going a bit early to the session tomorrow. My family always goes early. Sometimes the managers will let me "check the floor" (sadly, they know the guards don't always do a great job cleaning up after the previous session)...so I might be able to at least get video of me skating one of each....LOL

I want a moxi boot that is knee length with a fur tongue. Black leather with black suede in back and black suede tongue and in the area with laces and eyelets. Moxi colorful pattern inside.rubber sole like timbs. I would make flaneurz outta that boot with rolline plates

@@ertfgghhhh leather is different. Fur comes from animal cruelty. Animals are being held in very small cages for months, some of them get sick, they go crazy, because these are smart, very active animals. The way they take the fur is also cruel. Electricity, water... Many of them are skinned alive, because they didn't die from the electricity and water. The whole fur industry is awful, so how about you let those animals be first and not be part of an extremely cruel industry and then you enjoy your life.

(Loved the Skate Parade! LOL) Those skates look great both on and off. I personally would need a skate with at least some kind of a heel... just can NOT skate well in flat skates. I really like the idea of removable wheels for city skates.... makes them very versatile!
Unfortunately, we can't convert from heels to heels with our current system. But maybe you can get used to it? :)

I actually have some skates like this! They're Nash Sports Cruisers but these look much better and cooler and the fact that it looks much easier to clip in and remove the plates
