The main character is named after my father - "Maxcy". i left the practice of law to come on the bench...I'm now a Judge in the Compton Courthouse !

I remember this show. In fact this is probably the show where I first remember all these great actors in it. It's amazing how far hollywood has come. TV used to be so segregated, but now most of this cast has crossed over into mainstream work and you really don't have these shows like this anymore except the tyler perry and TV One ones.

This show should've had more than two seasons.
I was very disappointed when UPN dropped this along with In The House. Sparks easily could have went to 5 seasons.
The cast was amazing, they needed a better team. Especially in the writer's department! xD
