I hate to say but you have shown me not to buy these boxes
I learned that with just $30. I was lucky enough to hit a “grail” with my first order of a few boxes. But the grail was in such terrible shape it was barely worth the $15 plus shipping. The other 2 were under value. As soon as I seen what they considered grails. I knew it isn’t necessarily a a scam. But it’s almost impossible to really win.
@@Ward1228 I’ve watched a few videos of people buying them throughout the months and I just assumed they were inventory dumps getting people to pay full price for a pop thats worth less.
Same this kind of mystery boxes is some store doing just to let go their stocks
I knew not to buy them when the scammer Franchise Diabetes stated promoting them

To be fair these boxes are from different weeks. Different drops so he didn’t just buy 100 boxes from one drop since its limited to 4 per customers.
Yep, exactly! If I had somehow bought 100 from the same drop, I would have definitely significantly increased my chances of getting something rare, but I really wanted to just show people what to expect on any given week and I think the results were pretty much what I expected. Such a fun series! Thanks for putting this together for everyone! You really ended up getting a good variety and 1 duplicate I think. It's mostly about the fun of opening the box and it's not a giant investment if you buy 1 or 2. Thanks again!
Really loved watching this entire series!! I do still think Mystery Grail is one of the better mystery box companies to buy from cause it is one of the lowest priced boxes and you can maybe hit a huge hit (very very not likely but still) at least they have been shown that they do send out their top hits where as a few companies I don’t ever see anyone pull their top hits. Can’t wait to see when you do this series again!!

Absolutely!! Thanks Patty!! I definitely don't think these boxes are for everyone, but I do think this was a pretty fair representation of what they have to offer. I was slightly disappointed to see less older Pops that I was used to seeing in the past. These boxes seemed to have more Pops that were newer that seemed like they came straight from Funko rather than from a collection haul.

Great videos and a really good format. But what I like the most is your honesty. Too many creators try to convince you that they are making massive money on these boxes, they sot talk about selling cost or shipping fees or how PPG is BS on alot of pops. Awesome thank you!
Can u do a video or a update on what you use the points u got from the boxes on and show how the points are worth it I think alot of people don't care about them because they just don't understand

I got the Charizard Pokémon Funko pop in my Funko pop collection. I found him at a store called Pegasus Games. It is a very cool place with lots of Pokémon cards, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, Magic the Gathering cards, Funko pops and more. They can let anybody sell their Pokémon cards, their Funko pops, and any kind of thing they can let you sell. But that is where I found Charizard. Seeing this makes me even happier I swore off Mystery Grail's boxes a while ago.
They definitely aren’t for everyone. The nice thing is that they’re relatively cheap so you never really cut a major loss if you’re just buying a couple boxes here and there.

The reason why the PPG value is higher on the Pop that's still available for the cheaper retail price is because it's an Amazon exclusive. It's being sold at a higher price on eBay to collectors in other countries who can't order from Amazon.
Yeah, I understand that part. My argument is that if it’s available from the retailer, then PPG should reflect the retail price.
Boom loot has good value generally. Still enjoyed this series but yeah, most of the Mystery grail boxes are mystery fail boxes.

100%. Mystery boxes are always a gamble no matter where you buy them from. Sometimes it pays off, but most of the time it doesn’t.

If I had saved them, I think I’d probably have close to 75,000 by now. I have roughly 50,000 right now though because I’ve used some on Pop Armors.
So what are you going to get with your points? I'm still holding on to a bunch. I wish they had full cases of pop armor like they did early on.
They have a Bank Robber Joker up for 80,000 points that I wouldn’t mind grabbing lol but I still need to save up some more points. Getting that for 80,000 would actually probably be overpaying anyway, so I’d be better off just getting as many Armor 2-packs as I possibly can 😂

Haha, yeah, these boxes definitely have a target audience. If I wasn't opening them for the channel, I would basically only recommend these for newer collectors who don't want to dive into higher dollar mystery boxes and still want a SMALL chance at a grail lol.

I really do appreciate the amount of money that you spent to put out this very entertaining content. I really would have liked to have seen you with some more exciting additions to your collection as well as a little bit of cash to soften the blow. LOL I have been a fan of Funko Collectibles for a very long time but for some reason wasn't that interested in the pops until recently. I think it's because they have become much more creative and elaborate with the designs. i have a Marvel falcon funko idea.
Falcon in his original suit with a falcon on his arm with his wings red. then for the chase the falcon should have his wings out with his beak open with Falcons wings and suit green has his first appearance suit. with his teeth grinning do you think it should become a funko soda?

I want to point out that the alluka is kind of a star, the pops from that line aren't licensed in some countries Australia is one where many people would like that pop. If you sold it to an overseas person you could make a lot more since it's valued higher here so yeah if you do that I'd say it was a star.

Cause PPG knows that Amazon pops arrive damaged a lot that's why Taker is $3 above retail 😂. I do like the variety here then what was in part 3.
Haha yeah I just wish PPG had a flag or something to indicate that something is still available for retail. Or better yet, it would be nice if PPG had a flag that just alerted the person that the Pop has only been available for 60 days or something so that people could be aware that the price might be inflated.

I would, but there aren’t many companies that offer weekly single Pop mystery boxes. 🤷🏻♂️ I’m actually about to do a small little series opening up all the mystery boxes that I didn’t have time to open last year. I have some from Boomloot, Chalice, Pop King Paul, and maybe one other. Those videos should be out in the next month or so.

I think they’re pretty low risk if you don’t mind having to go through the hassle of reselling stuff you don’t want to keep. They’re really best suited for new collectors who are looking to just build up their collection and might get lucky and pull a grail.

How many boxes do you buy At a time?
I buy 4 at a time because that’s their limit (unless you use a different address). For this particular set of 100, I bought them across an entire year.

They have some specific lines that they seem to favor in the mystery boxes and Marvel is definitely one of them. Across all 100 boxes, I got quite a few Marvel pops from newer TV shows.
The total score does not factor in the fees, time, tax, and shipping associated with selling a grip of commons
Nope, it’s purely based on total cost vs total value of the Pops according to PPG. That’s the best method to keep the rankings fair and consistent. As far as reselling goes, the real unknown is whether or not I’m able to resell for PPG. But since PPG is widely used, it’s the best estimate (even if I don’t agree with it a lot of the time). The selling fees/taxes/shipping are always a consistent % of the sales price.

You’re the first person to acknowledge that! And it’s 100% true. Without checking, I probably got ~28,000 tokens which I credited as $280. Without those, the loss would have been around $250. I buy the Pop Armors all the time though, so I truly do feel like I get that $280 in value when I redeem the points. L
Do you know anyone that's hit a mega grail other than the guy with speedy Gonzales and the other guy with metallic boo berry?
I’ve seen people post mega grail pulls on Instagram but not on video (other than the two you mentioned). I think MG is probably one of the most honest mystery box companies out there though. They just sell soooo many boxes that those big pulls are most likely going to people who aren’t active on social media or TH-cam. I truthfully think it would be more suspicious if you saw bigger TH-camrs pulling those mega grails because the odds are just incredibly low. Each week I buy 4 boxes but there are 1,750 boxes available each week. So even if I buy hundreds of boxes over time I still may never hit something big.

Yeah, the odds are not the greatest. The good thing is that they are fairly low risk and most of the time you basically break even or lose a few bucks.

Haha I really hope thats not the case! I've done a lot of business with 7BAP and Mystery Grail in the past and I truly feel like they are straight shooters. They also process soooooo many orders and mystery boxes that I feel like there is no incentive for them to worry about rigging anything.

That would have been amazing! Fact of the matter is the odds of getting a star are very low! I’ve been very lucky in the past, but this was more in line with what I normally would expect based on the % chance of getting the bigger hits.
