Right? And Mo Gaffney, who made a big splash in Absolutely Fabulous. I have the DVD from the '94 Mo and Kathy show.

This was a touching and beautifully acted character piece. I first saw this around the time it first aired and it meant a lot to me.
They did a sequel to this in their 1994 special, which was much darker, and sobering, and brave, and heartbreaking.

Brilliant and human--word-perfect. I saw this years ago, and it's still one of my favorite theater moments. Kathy Najimy is brilliant!

As funny as this clip is, it packs a wonderfully profound message....as relevant today as it was back then. My hope is that one day, it's no longer relevant and the only meaning is to show people what life used to be for a gay man coming out.

I have a question. It's not fully thought out because I lack knowledge & I'm not going to do the research to find out because I really don't care, I just have fleeting moments of interest. Im asking you because Ive seen you talking all things Greek. You even made a movie about your culture. I was thinking about Mexico, I spoke with a man & asked what was Mexico called before Mexico. He said something fast in an accent, I didn't understand. He then said it's was called "New Spain". This made me think of the movie Gladiator with Russel Crowe. There is a scene in the movie where the old man says to Maximus Arellius you are the son I wish I had not Jauquin Phoenixs character. I was thinking the Spaniards, the people who are descendents of Spain think they have some claim on Mexico because "The Spaniards" conquered Mexico. I thought about the movie "Gladiator" the man's name in the movie escapes me. On his death bed , the Senators of the Greek Parliment, I can't remember from the movie & don't know the history but did the commission the "Spaniards" to go down to "Old Mexico Way" like Emilio Estevez says in "Young Guns". What I am asking is this, did the Greeks "own" the deeds to the land that the Spanish, people from Spain claimed & named "New Spain" I'm talking about what is called Mexico, or South America. Before the Spaniards & the Mexicans as well as the French there were Aztecs & Myans,, I think the In cans were Peruvian. What I am saying is they were Indians. I don't know what this means, I'm just writing down the thoughts I have. It also made me think of the 42President William Jefferson Clinton who passed & signed N.A.F.T.A. the North American Free Trade Agreement. I always thought this was in simple vision about doing business, sending trucks back & forth across the border. It doesn't seem from my limited point of view to have worked out for Mexico. They appear to still suck. There people risk there lives to get the hell out & come to America . I could be wrong, ii don't have much actual life experience, I've never been out of the country. It made me think what if there was more then meets the eye to this N.A.F.T.A. agreement, who are we really doing business with over there? Did a deal get made right in front of our eyes that we didn't even see? I was going to try to bring in Jimmie Hendrix lyrics about going to Mexico to shoot my old lady, caught her messing around with another man. I wasn't sure how I could tie that into my thoughts but yeah it fits in the larger context of " double dealing, double crossing bitches".
