Helloooooo Nick&Lex, you have fallen into the clutches of Lovebites and you will no longer be able to escape. I suggest you react to his song "Epilogue" is a work of art, if you like metal ballads, this is a song that touches your soul. big hug
LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics: Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood People live in fear, covered in mud Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters There is a thousand, a thousand of evils Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall Reincarnation, wait for your call Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters Morning star and dying moon Into the Gates of Hell we march Mighty soul, let there be hope Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? Thanks for more LOVEBITES! Yes, tremolo-picked, palm-muted arpeggiated-chords without end, 1-hand & 2-hand tapping, string-skipping, sweep-picking, pinch-harmonics, bends, hand-vibrato, whammy-bar squeals/dive-bombs/vibrato/flutters & all with fluid/seamless transitions. Wonderful solo & duet compositions played note-for-note, performance after performance. Lyrics profoundly appropriate to "today's world" offering acknowledgement-of-circumstances & struggles while affirming self-empowerment, perseverance, integrity, dignity & personal responsibility permeating their catalog of 45+ songs. All include solos by both Miyako & Midori, 40 with a harmony-duet, and all with the unsurpassed rhythm-section of Miho & Haruna. Asami's R&B & ballet history bringing new 'flavors' to Metal's voice. I've never seen/heard 'the like' before... A series of songs that might draw "Lex" further into the Wolf-Pack fold from the 2021 show: th-cam.com/video/9pcERt7vc7s/w-d-xo.html Hearing & watching more than one song at a time is really necessary to understand what these composers, arrangers, musicians, performers are bringing to us. Above link is '80s synth & several in a row showing their eclecticism.
Nick check back, even the bass player was tapping!. For more range from Asami singing and brilliant band performance, check out the last two songs from this concert in sequence. ‘Edge of the World’ and ‘We the united’ i believe that there is a YT vid.
Yay, the only reason I didn't pick this one (which I think has better solos) was the first impression created by the dual tapping leads. Hopefully someone has requested "Swan Song" with the Chopin etude intro, if not - I will. The guitarist on the right has been playing piano since 3, and didn't pick up a guitar until she was 18. She also writes a lot of the music. In another very popular group, Band-Maid, they play in more of a hard rock style. The singer doesn't have a constant wide vibrato, and the drummer and bass player are very good. In Japan there are these "maid cafes" where the waitresses dress up as maids, and treat the customers as if they were household maids. That's how the band members dress.
these ladies know how to write great metal songs. they also insert piano instruments in the progressive songs like Edge Of The World, Epilogue and Frozen Serenade. Enjoy \m/
Haruna "little BIG Engine" drums (4'9"; 1.45m) Asami "The One & Only Voice" vocals (4'10"; 1.47m) Midori "Crazy Shredder" guitar (4'11"; 1.5m) Miyako "The Golden Touch" guitar/piano (5'2"; 1.58m) Miho "Natural Born Head-Banger" bass (5'1"; 1.55m) nicknames given by the band "Bravehearted": th-cam.com/video/MaKtRMiSfMI/w-d-xo.html written by "little BIG Engine" !

Miyako, (brown Dean guitar) studied to be a concert pianist from age 3, then aged 18 she taught herself guitar… from a book. For that reason, tapping comes naturally to her, and she uses it a lot. She also uses her classical knowledge to help compose some really intricate pieces. For Alexia’s sake, I strongly recommend you (or she) should watch what the fans know as the three “E” songs, Epilogue, Edge of the World and Empty Daydream. All have more mellow sections and Asami shows her full range. She was previously an RnB and Jazz singer, and is also a trained ballet dancer, hence her fluid arm movements etc. You guys are one of only a handful of reaction channels I subscribe to, because I trawl every day for fresh reactions to Lovebites, and to subscribe to them all would be a nightmare. But your Rush journey fascinated me because I saw them almost from the start of their career to the end, travelling from the U.K. to Toronto for their last but one ever appearance in their home city. I am plastered in Rush tattoos (and now a Lovebites too), oh, and I met them! (Rush that is). I am possibly the world’s most obsessive Ritchie Blackmore worshiper, and was played ELP by a music teacher as part of his music class, and they were my first big “like”. So for you to latch onto Lovebites, and react, not once but twice, has been great for me from a personal point of view. I wasn’t sure you’d like them and, being honest, I would have chosen another song to introduce Lex to the band, though Nick, this is the one fans usually refer metal heads to. This has made my day!!
Great review. My wife is right in the middle of her 70s but she still is the girl to me. Better not react to all the comments word by word. Lovebites is influenced by all the great bands from golden ages of metal 70s, 80s and 90s, and also the romantic era of classic music. They sometimes sound like Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Dragonforce, Rachmaninov, Chopin, Beethoven, and Dovolzark. If you wanna try Maiden vibe, they wrote a song The Crusade th-cam.com/video/0guewPdnrKQ/w-d-xo.html which is an homage to Aces High. You like to hear everything of Lovebites, Shadowmaker th-cam.com/video/wmAKRiG89Qc/w-d-xo.html got the singing, and great guitar solos of the twin leads. But if you want to know their real talent, try Swan Song with Revolutionary Etude th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html. They play progressive too. A most beautiful peace is A Frozen Serenade th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html or soulful Edge of the World th-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/w-d-xo.html. Enjoy your journey. Bon voyage!!
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I love Lovebites and Band-Maid as well. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. [FYI : Helloween came to Japan in 1988 for the first time and several times thereafter] Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Thrash Metal heaven! But since there are different versions, make sure to pick the best one, which is this one from their live show in Tokyo 2020: th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html - Strongly reminds me of Testament in 1987, just check out "Over the Wall" from their debut "The Legacy" (1987) and you will (hopefully) understand what I mean. The difference is: Lovebites have a better sound and two fantastic lead guitarists!
This is often the first one reactors see--it really captures the essence of the band. I second the suggestions to do "Swan Song" next--the version with the Chopin Etude as prelude. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html Also, do I see a Jean-Luc Ponty album behind you? Kudos to a fellow fusion devotee!
Holy cow, these girls are spectacular. The only thing I find a bit strange are the outfits, but as a 67 year old sack I have no idea about today's fashion. Since I must probably look for records. The video is musically absolutely promising and that was live, great.
They choose to dress in white as a deliberate contrast to the standard black leather and denim metal uniform. it also helps 5 x 5ft nothing women be visible on huge stages. Personally i love it, proving that playing metal can be feminine and does not require a goth aesthetic or mentality.
They wear the outfits for a few reasons. The main reason is all of them are short. The tallest member is Miyako and she is 5'1" (154 cm) or 5'2" (157 cm). So they wear those outfits to stick out on stage.
@@theheepster not having a go, just trying to explain..I had the same thoughts 4 years ago when i discovered them as the image and the music are a challenge when viewed/listened to together. But in a sense that is part of the reason for it. Glad you liked it.
Thank you so much for this amazing reaction video. Lovebites is one of the best metal bands today. I love all songs of this band. Whatever song you choose from this band, a wonderful musical adventure of these very talented women awaits you. My second the most favorite all-female metal band from Japan is Nemophila. Absolutely different all-female metal band than Lovebites. Keep up the great work! My heartfelt greetings :-).
Hi! Thank you for reacting to our band of choice and if you like progressive try these two songs from LOVEBITES: "Edge Of The World" and "A Frozen Serenade" - both live. I'm sure you won't regret it. Have a great musical journey, guys!
I would say that Haruna is probably one of the most underrated drummers ever, she is so strong and solid. After almost 2 hours of murderous tempo she leaves the stage with no signs of fatigue. She uses minimal effort and delivers maximum power - the trademark of a good drummer.
Thanks to both of you for the reaction 🤘 Welcome to the world of Lovebites the best heavy metal band existing on planet earth 🌏 Miho.....Bassist and leader of the pack and responsible for the formation of the band . Sadly she left the band last August. Miyako.....dark haired guitarist/pianist Midori...blonde guitarist Haruna....Drummer Asami...vocalist Apart from power metal they do play progressive metal, thrash and have some lovely metal ballads. Glory to Lovebites...the goddesses of Metal 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Miho! Miho! Miho! 🤘🐺🔥🔥🔥
🤘😊🤘🍁 Glad you liked it and brought Lex in. I hope Lex is taking it easy with her back though. Cheers guys. P.S. Asami was singing full throated on those high notes, not falsetto btw.
Hello! Thanks for checking out Lovebites again. Lovebites usually plays metal above speed limits 😁. However... More prog song you say? You should definitely try "Edge of the World" , "Frozen Serenade", "Epilogue" or "Swan Song" (with Chopin intro) to see something different . Or might just pick any song from their 2019,2020,2021 live dvd-s you won't be disappointed :)
Nice to have Lex here on this react. Thanks for shout out guys. Of all the all female bands from Japan, I'd say they are my favorite, them and Aldious. I love that they do guitar solo's. Something that is lost on new music that was common place in the 80's. Since Nick has guitar playing experience it's nice to have his take on it. Nick and I seem to have a similar metal experience background, me knowing more thrash like Death Angel and Testament and Nick knowing more prog and symphonic metal. Check out Lovebites - Epilogue for a change of pace and be sure to have Lex with you Nick for that one. Also check out Aldious Spirit Black, that one really rocks.
I fully second the suggestion of "Epilogue"! While it is Lovebites' so far only pure ballad, I'm tempted to say that the official live version is my favourite ballad ever. I also think that it should be a NicknLex-reaction. And I'd suggest the same for Lovebites' most progressive songs - "Edge of the World", "Frozen Serenade" and "Dystopia Symphony" (the latter so far only being available as an audio-clip).
This was a nice surprise for me! These “women” or really talented! Really listenable metal music! Thanks for sharing this Nick! Good to see Lex sitting next to you! Love to you both!
Brand new Nemophila single called Adabana just released today and it may just be their best yet. Hope you will check it out as they are one of the hottest all female Japanese metal bands out there.
You should definitely cover Band-Maid together. They are more rock/progressive than metal. And their catalogue is widely varied. They will surprise you. A lot. From what I've read in various comment sections, there are a lot of Rush fans in their fan base. Like me, for instance. Nice to see you step into the Japanese rabbit hole.
Thanks for the reaction!😊 If "Holy War" is too heavy for you, then LOVEBITES has a list of great songs that might be more suitable for you: "Empty Daydream", "Burden of Time", "Bravehearted ", "Rising", "Edge of the World", "Liar", "Epilogue", "Pledge of the Saviour", "The Final Collision", "A Frozen Serenade", "Spellbound".🐺 If you like DEEP PURPLE (with R. Blackmore & I. Gillan) or RAINBOW ( with R.J.Dio), then pay attention to "Dancing with the Devil"🐺
Oh heck yeah! They are absolutely the best, just fire musically! I saw some comments looking for some slower songs. I'd recommend A Frozen Serenade live th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html, just a masterpiece...quite a few things going on in it. Just revalidates why they are my favorite band; they can do it all ballads, thrash, power and prog metal! Great react and continue the Lovebites journey...you won't forget it! 🐺
Next live songs Set The World On Fire, Raise Some Hell, The Hammer Of Wrath, Glory To The World, Sign Of Deliverance, Winds Of Transylvania, When Destinies Align, Shadow Maker....Ballard songs with piano Epilogue(Jazz Metal), Swan Song, Empty Day Dream..
Interestingly, Miyako, the guitarist with the brown Dean that your wife liked the best has a little lap dog that looks just like yours! I don't know what you call your dog but Miyako, being a Star Wars nerd, has called hers Wampa!
Nowadays Wampa has to share space in Miyako's lap with her baby, whom she gave birth the last year during Lovebite's hiatus, which still lasts. If you see videos from the "Heavy metal never dies" concert in march 2021, you may notice that Miyako is 3 - 4 months pregnant at that time. Recently also Asami announced the birth of her baby girl.
The lowest Asami sung, is in Nameless Warrior. A true power metal song. Good as everything they made, but not the best. More a tribute to bassist Miho, who left the band
Asami does sing much lower quite often. She has an amazing range, and some reactors are even surprised by how low she can sing. I personally think she sounds the best in the higher ranges though.
Nothing to see here, just hot and talented Japanese girls shredding your face off!!! So much good music coming out of Japan. California loves LOVEBITES.
I'm not a big genre guy, but I consider The Warning a hard rock band. As for the tapping parts in the first third of this song, all three musicians are doing it all three times. It's just that the camera shifts from Miyako to Miho to Midori. If you like rock more than metal, you'll enjoy BAND-MAID. They're fantastic.
They certainly are very accomplished musicians. I would be interested to hear any slower tracks, demonstrating light and shade to their music? Things get ever more interesting! Thanks guys.
Great reaction guys! If you're wife likes progressive a bit more than definitely check out the live version of "edge of the world" live at Depp city diver. I think she'd like it a lot more.
Also, here's the link and turn on subtitles because, fun fact, all lovebites songs are sung in English but Asami has such a strong Japanese accent that it's hard to tell sometimes. m.th-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/w-d-xo.html
The comment from sal succedo is a little bias on band maid they are not god awful it’s funny cuz LOVEBITES Band Maid Babymetal and even Nemophila share the same fanbase just because he doesn’t like them don’t mean everyone else does, anyways LOVEBITES does do thrash progressive symphonic and even a little borderline hard rock so they have plenty of different songs to please just about anyone. Great reaction from both of you

Nice reaction. You have a truckload off good songs. Just enjoy and explore. My 2 favorites are "Swan song with the Chopin etud intro" and the " The awakening/Hammer of wrath". They are so many songs to choose from. Love from Sweden.
One all female band to check out is Gacharic Spin they're not really metal. They can play metal but they are all over the place musically. They don't like to stick to one genre on albums or even in one song. One song to check out is Quadratum from Unlucky Morpheus' covers, particularly 'Far Beyond the Sun' Jill the violin player plays Yngwie Malmsteen's guitar part while Jinya the guitar player is playing Jens Johansson's keyboard part on guitar.
It's nice to watch more reactions and read more nice comments from the many LOVEBITES followers that have joined. I have been following the band for over 2 years and have become a fan purchasing their albums and dvds. I would like to purchase their t-shirts and denim jackets. LOVEBITES is my favorite metal band these days.
you guys should definitely check out wagakki band - homura and akatsuki no ito live and senbonzakura. 8 person metal/traditional group. it’s different from a lot of the band out there. i promise you’ll love it.
Ofc, Lovebites is awesome!! 🔥 BUT - you guys are missing out big time!!! Because she will love BAND-MAID even more!!! To me, Band-Maid is the best band since Rush - not kidding - Nick will love Kanami’s interesting guitar lines and Misa’s bass is to die for in every way. Everything else - composition, songwriting, arrangements, instrumentation, playing and performance - all stellar. Not a gimmick in any way shape or form - you NEED to check them out “Domination” - official live video “Blooming” - official MV “Manners / Black Hole” - official live video “No God” - official live video You’ll thank me later 🤷🏻♂️✌🏼😎
@@cepho8349 Any more than an 80’s band wearing leather pants, teased hair and mascara? Rush wearing Kiminos? Obviously Kiss, Slipknot, etc. I was a purist about that for years; then it dawned on me - it’s entertainment - it’s supposed to be fun!! And the maids definitely do both - back it up with skill and great music AND have a blast doing it 😀 ✌🏼😎🤘🏼
Lovebites is one my favorite bands! You ought to check out Liliac(pronounced Lilly-Ack) together! all siblings! Vinny Appice (Dio's drummer) calls Melody(The 22 year old vocalist) the female reincarnation of Ronnie James Dio.
"Holy War" is the second song from the "Five Of A Kind - Live In Tokyo 2020" held by LOVEBITES at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on February 21, 2020. Please subscribe to their channel (if you haven't): th-cam.com/channels/90wxogt_sQrP0Os0HT-xuw.html The setlist is: 1.Thunder Vengeance 2.Holy War 3.Don’t Bite The Dust 4.Rising 5.Raise Some Hell 6.Break The Wall 7.Shadowmaker 8.Piano Solo (Etude Op.10, No.12) 9.Swan Song 10.Addicted 11.Dancing With The Devil 12.Signs Of Deliverance 13.M.D.O. 14.Golden Destination 15.When Destinies Align Encore. 16.The Awakening 17.The Hammer Of Wrath 18.Edge Of The World 19.We The United
Lex may prefer "Edge of the World" in which Asami demonstrates a much broader vocal range, and incorporates progressive and other different elements. Yes many of their songs span speed/power/thrash metal but some are straight rock or are even bluesy.
Haruna the drummer was influenced a lot by Halloween they've actually covered eagles fly free from Halloween there is a video on that Edge of the World shows a lot more of her range on voice
Japanese GIRLS BAND is 30 years ago HARD Rock, SHOW-YA, POP Rock, princess princess. It started with Japan is, The best in the world It has become a country with many GIRLS BANDs. Now, HARD Metal GIRLS BAND 10 groups are famous.
I recommend the epic that is said to be their masterpiece of masterpieces. Plz react to this song next time.🤘🐺🐺🤘 LOVEBITES - Swan Song [+Chopin Intro] (Five of a Kind, 21/02/2020) -Eng lyrics can be seen in the video.
Well, it seems you’ve just been lovebitten , too. Yes, welcome to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. They really shine in their live performances. I recommend songs from the concerts “Wacken Open Air” (Germany, 2018), “Daughters of the dawn” (2019), “Five of a kind” (2020), “Awakening From The abyss” (studio live, 2020) and “Heavy metal never dies” (2021); avoid “Bloodstock” because audio is not good (not their fault). Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just a little more than five years. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestions are “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire”, “Shadowmaker”, “Raise some hell”, “Scream for me”, “When destinies align”, “The crusade”, “Frozen serenade”, “Spellbound”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania” (all live, if possible) Lineup: Haruna - Drums Miho - Bass, backing vocals Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals Asami - Lead vocals, some Miho left the band last year and the process to find her replacement has already started.
They are Power Metal/Trash Metal. Think Iron Maiden and Metallica. Listen to "Shadow Maker" official MV (Power Metal) and "Set the World on Fire" (Thrash Metal) The goddess with dark hair and the wooden guitar, while it's made from wood, is actually "faded denim" Dean Icon guitar. Miyako did a of work to her Dean Icon for that special "Heavy Metal" tone, to quote her. th-cam.com/video/p--P7rwB3kE/w-d-xo.html
Could you please react to HammerFall - Brotherhood or Not Today, They are a Swedish Metal Band, really catchy and melodic songs! The singer got the perfect voice for Metal, they formed in 1993
if Lex is more a Prog Rock listener, you really need to hear the 5 piece female rock band from Japan called Band-Maid, they will use any genre of rock and throw in blues and jazz riffs and runs and will even step back and forth across the line to metal, to make the song what they want, but most of it comes off as throwback classic rock with a modern twist
There's another all women band from Mexico I hope you guys can check out. They are a three piece band from Nuevo Leon, Monterrey and they're sisters. Evolve, Money and Dust to Dust are ones that come to mind. Not Metal more Hard Rock. Really good.
Nick you should check out junna she's a drummer from Japan she did a drum cover for through the fire and the flame by dragon force the drummer from dragon force actually did a reaction video on junna playing his song her channel is on TH-cam she also did a cover for pain killer by judas priest please check out her videos and react to them I think you're enjoy her videos
@@NicknLex Band-Maid doesn't usually block as long as you pause a few times and use their (Official Live Video) on TH-cam . The "Real Existence " Live Video is awesome ! But if you can't show that one i would rather you play "Onset" Official Live Video . Its a instrumental and very dark so you can't really see them in it very good but the song is better . Thanks Nick you will love either one =)
hey guys you should react to Scream For Me daughters of the dawn live from tokyo 2019 if you love the guitar playing there is 14 guitar solos in this song please let me know what you think and please react to it
hey Nick and Lex!! Ithink you would like "Out in the country " by doobie brothers, they have all great songs, this one is so sweet, and fiting for the day we live in, please here this!!

LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

A series of songs that might draw "Lex" further into the Wolf-Pack fold from the 2021 show:
th-cam.com/video/9pcERt7vc7s/w-d-xo.html
Hearing & watching more than one song at a time is really necessary to understand what these composers, arrangers, musicians, performers are bringing to us.
The grandmasters of tapping on bass are both the bassists Angra has had. In case you want more... 🤘🤘
Enjoy \m/
listen to the song spellbound. miyako only plays synth and keytar in that song
Thanks so much for covering LOVEBITES, at last! 🤯👍💖

Blackmore RULES \m/ :D
Since you mentioned Ritchie, is Blackmore's Night still going?
@@PaleHorseShabuShabu they just did 2 gigs in the US.
@@alekhidell, cool, thanks! I hadn't heard anything from them for a while, but then again, I haven't searched them out much either.
Great song, but do something like Epilogue, Swan Song or A Frozen Serenade next.
[FYI : Helloween came to Japan in 1988 for the first time and several times thereafter]
Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Next LoveBites: “Break the Wall” Live 🤟
Thrash Metal heaven! But since there are different versions, make sure to pick the best one, which is this one from their live show in Tokyo 2020: th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html - Strongly reminds me of Testament in 1987, just check out "Over the Wall" from their debut "The Legacy" (1987) and you will (hopefully) understand what I mean. The difference is: Lovebites have a better sound and two fantastic lead guitarists!
More heavy?? Try they song "Set the world on fire"
Thank you.
All dressed up and don’t break a sweat. Crazy!😁👍🏻
@@HALberdier17 That makes sense. But for me in the first moment it looks a bit curious.
@@scifimonkey3 Ok., an old man can learn something.
@@theheepster not having a go, just trying to explain..I had the same thoughts 4 years ago when i discovered them as the image and the music are a challenge when viewed/listened to together. But in a sense that is part of the reason for it. Glad you liked it.
First introduction for Michael! Absolutely blown away my friends! Thank you so much as always 💓
Every song is excellent, or better ! A wide variety of sub-genre, all with a solo by each & all but a few have a duet too! (Hey, that rhymed!)
Japan has a wonderful music scene. I hope you check out Band Maid for some great Hard Rock
Thank you very much for this wonderful reaction and comments!
Lovebites is a fantastic metal band!
Greetings from Japan!
True. Her stamina is pretty crazy. Well, the same could be said about all of them, really.
Haruna has amazing legs. And the rest of her is amazing too!
Thanks to both of you for the reaction 🤘
Welcome to the world of Lovebites the best heavy metal band existing on planet earth 🌏
Miho.....Bassist and leader of the pack and responsible for the formation of the band . Sadly she left the band last August.
Miyako.....dark haired guitarist/pianist
Midori...blonde guitarist
Haruna....Drummer
Asami...vocalist
Apart from power metal they do play progressive metal, thrash and have some lovely metal ballads.
Glory to Lovebites...the goddesses of Metal 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Miho! Miho! Miho! 🤘🐺🔥🔥🔥
Metal Goddesses!! I just cant get enough of this band!! They play a bit of everything from ballads to speed metal pretty much!! 🤘🐺🤘 Thanks!!
All glory to LOVEBITES and all my brothers and sisters of The Wolf Pack everywhere! Best metal band to come along in 25 years.
Aldious are cool as well, yeah.
Some people just love splitting hairs and seeking out offence, glad that you are ignoring them. Great that you got to this together.
Well said! Your so welcome!
Nice one Scifimonkey 👍
Its the world we live in today sadly. George Carlin is RAGING in his grave :P.
This was a nice surprise for me! These “women” or really talented! Really listenable metal music! Thanks for sharing this Nick! Good to see Lex sitting next to you! Love to you both!
Love you back! 💕
Brand new Nemophila single called Adabana just released today and it may just be their best yet. Hope you will check it out as they are one of the hottest all female Japanese metal bands out there.
My Lovebites 🏴 🐺🤘...All Mine!
They are simply Amazing...🤘🐺 Love this band so much
Crazy! Nice to learn new stuff. Call them talented at what they do. Thanks for the diversity.
I love holy ward i recommend edge of the world frozen serenade swan song epilogue and many other titles
Welcome to the Wolfpack Lexa ]:) today you have been Lovebitten ]:P
You should definitely cover Band-Maid together. They are more rock/progressive than metal. And their catalogue is widely varied. They will surprise you. A lot. From what I've read in various comment sections, there are a lot of Rush fans in their fan base. Like me, for instance. Nice to see you step into the Japanese rabbit hole.
Another Rush + Band-Maid fan here...
Thanks for the reaction!😊 If "Holy War" is too heavy for you, then LOVEBITES has a list of great songs that might be more suitable for you: "Empty Daydream", "Burden of Time", "Bravehearted ", "Rising", "Edge of the World", "Liar", "Epilogue", "Pledge of the Saviour", "The Final Collision", "A Frozen Serenade", "Spellbound".🐺
If you like DEEP PURPLE (with R. Blackmore & I. Gillan) or RAINBOW ( with R.J.Dio), then pay attention to "Dancing with the Devil"🐺
Thanks for coming back to Lovebites, this is their second song from Five Of A Kind concert. I hope you all check more songs 🤘
The next step could be: Chopin etude+Swan song.
Wolfpack is here for LOVEBITES! Check out more of their live performances. You will be amazed at what they can do!
Bloody Lovebites 🐺 I love'em
I'm not a big genre guy, but I consider The Warning a hard rock band. As for the tapping parts in the first third of this song, all three musicians are doing it all three times. It's just that the camera shifts from Miyako to Miho to Midori. If you like rock more than metal, you'll enjoy BAND-MAID. They're fantastic.
Epilogue you will be amazed
That one I like
Seconding this.
They certainly are very accomplished musicians. I would be interested to hear any slower tracks, demonstrating light and shade to their music? Things get ever more interesting! Thanks guys.
Listen to Epilogue from them. Very emotional. Some beautiful guitar work.
Great reaction guys! If you're wife likes progressive a bit more than definitely check out the live version of "edge of the world" live at Depp city diver. I think she'd like it a lot more.
Also, here's the link and turn on subtitles because, fun fact, all lovebites songs are sung in English but Asami has such a strong Japanese accent that it's hard to tell sometimes. m.th-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/w-d-xo.html
hi if you prefer a "more proggy" vibe you should check "edge of the world", from the same concert, afaik
Great reaction from both of you
There is some overlap in fandoms, sure. But I don't think it's that big, even. Maybe it depends on the band.
🐺🤘 LOVEBITES 🤘🐺 the team of five thrashpower metal godesses.
"We're not here to be cute, we're here to be heavy"
Asami🎤 R&B, jazz, soul, metal, rock singer, lyrics, (only English all songs one is exeption in Japanesse language) she trained ballet.
Haruna 🥁⭐one of the best drummer worldwide, founder, (PEARL drums)

Stay safe. Stay Lovebites.
Yup, Gacharic Spin are awesome. And Unlucky Morpheus are cool as well.
The band is named after the Halestorm song "Love Bites(So Do I)", also the band is actively seeking a new bass player.

Ofc, Lovebites is awesome!! 🔥
BUT - you guys are missing out big time!!!
Not a gimmick in any way shape or form - you NEED to check them out

Well, the maid costumes are still a gimmick. But they of course back it up with skill and good musicianship.
@@cepho8349 Any more than an 80’s band wearing leather pants, teased hair and mascara? Rush wearing Kiminos? And the maids definitely do both - back it up with skill and great music AND have a blast doing it 😀 ✌🏼😎🤘🏼

Miho Miho Miho!
Oh my good I love that song!! Grew up walls.of Jericho and keeper of the seven keys albums ❤️

My next suggestions are “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire”, “Shadowmaker”, “Raise some hell”, “Scream for me”, “When destinies align”, “The crusade”, “Frozen serenade”, “Spellbound”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania” (all live, if possible)
Lineup:
Haruna - Drums
Miho - Bass, backing vocals
Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals
Asami - Lead vocals, some
Miho left the band last year and the process to find her replacement has already started.

If Lex is more into prog, then Unlucky Morpheus is a far better choice, and it's not close.
More Lovebites please 🙏 🐺
There's another all women band from Mexico I hope you guys can check out. They are a three piece band from Nuevo Leon, Monterrey and they're sisters. Evolve, Money and Dust to Dust are ones that come to mind. Not Metal more Hard Rock. Really good.
We’ve done The Warning!! 😀
see more lovebites in live
If you liked Lovebites, you have to listen to Nemophila, they are beasts on the good way. They are the very best among this kind of bands.
Not as good as Lovebites lol.
Lovebites is #1. Not even close. But I do like Nemophila too. Especially Saki and Hazuki.

Ok, I just call them ladies. Don't forget about Band Maid.
I have a request in for Band-Maid "Real Existence" Live on Metal with Nick . He should react to it this month =) I just hope he shows the MV
Barry , working on it. Course doing the music video. Don't hope. write to me and tell me what to do:)
Especially maid cosplayers are a shame in Japan.
