James E. Rogers College of Law, University of Arizona. I begin L1 in the Spring of 2025. I start the JD-Next Program on October 7, 2024. this program has received a Variance from 57 Law Schools around the country to stand in place of the LSAT or GRE. I would say "Wish me luck" but I already know how to spell 'LUCK'...it is spelled E-F-F-O-R-T! 😎🙏
I'm studying to become a paralegal and you explained this so well!!!!!! I really think I learn better from a black teacher. I understood everything :) i'm so excited to start my assignment after watching you. Thanks sis
This was very helpful!!!! I am not even a law student …. I am a MHA grad student and we are having to prepare a case brief for my Healthcare Law and Ethic class!
I am studying to finish my Paralegal degree and I am really struggling with the IRAC concept for some reason. I think you did a great job on explaining this. It would be awesome if you could do a video when you IRAC a case through out the course of the video, breaking each step down. Great job though, thank you!
Good luck on your journey to become a paralegal! I'm glad this video helped some. Check out the prelaw playlist on the channel. I think I did something similar to IRAC in Legal Writing Made Easy video or Essay video. Check those 2 out to see if provides more clarity.
My major is administration of justice at college of the desert community college w/transfer hopeful future law school student. The course is concepts of criminal law and just opened up. We have 5 case briefs due. First time writing one and slightly surprising for community college. This video was helpful!
THANK YOU!!! This was short, and perfectly concise, It will have lasting long term effects on me. I am learning that searching for outside tutorials and information is what is going to help me succeed at becoming a paralegal. I am at Bryant and Stratton for online paralegal studies, It is my 6th week of the session, with 1 and a half to go, and then my first ever law class will be complete. I have a wonderful instructor, I am learning fast and doing well so far. My instructor responds well and is helpful when I email her, But being online there is much less guidance and teaching, because of this there is so much confusion. I spent countless hours researching and reading about how to correctly do a case brief. The brief was broken down by one section a week, and I scored 100's on all the sections of the brief so far, but even while turning in assignments I still fell anxious wondering is this actually right. If this video was given to us as a reference in the first week I would not only have sky high marks, but I would also have a complete understanding of the material being taught. Your video in 15 minutes has given me all the knowledge I need to succeed on any case brief I write for now on. I now have a true core understanding of how to write the brief, ( which became less of a chore once I watched your video and took notes). I also now understand, thanks to you, that a brief is for a case that has already gone to court, not for case details before court. Your video is well constructed, extremely well versed and so completely understandable. If you are not a law instructor, I hope you look into becoming one. The core knowledge I gained from this is astonishing. Thank you for taking the time to do this, You have changed my interest level as well. :: Hugs :: :: High fives, and smiles:: YOU ARE PHENOMENAL!!!
I'm not in law school but I'm taking the Law of Evidence at CTU. This was very helpful. I just wish you had shown how to format it. But great information. Extremely informative.
Glad you found it helpful.. I was thinking about showing format but I think logistically that wasn't happening that day.. maybe will do another video as follow up. Good luck in the class!
Hi, I just started my first trip for studying abroad in the University of Sydney leaving the Roman Law System, the video is so spired and I have a elementary learn from your video. I still confused about how to write the comment in the last paraphy and the dispute should be written by the HIRAC structure? Finally, I really appreciate your video when I starting my case note assessment.
I watch a lot of your videos and I'm thankful for all the info you share and I'll go back and look at other comments to see if I know them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
@@TXCTellsAll yes. My professors simply explain the case in class. I personally find FIRAC best because it is exam prep right when you are briefing your case.
I am studying for an Associates degree of Paralegal Studies :] I have a final exam coming up and 50% of the grade is a case brief. It’s our first case brief assignment so I’m a bit nervous 😬
@@TXCTellsAll I do have a couple questions. In the procedural history of the brief should it be only stating the district court, court of appeals and Supreme Court or should it go on to mention what happen at the lower courts also? My brief is due mid night and the professor hasn’t responded to any emails. It’s so hard to find people who know how to do legal writing.
@@carissaplustwo in procedural history you should be talking about what the case to the level it's currently at. Sometimes there's alot of courts a case may traverse b4 it gets to Supreme Court. Sometimes if you're briefing a District Court case, there may not be much that happened prior to. Hope that helps!
