Thank you!. Just replaced my brushed m12 with the BL. It's amazing because of the constant torque. No one even mentioned it. It's so much nicer to use as low speeds. No more burning soft materials to compensate for torque w speed.

No problem! Yep with that powerful motor its holds the torque.

Perfect timing for this showdown. My Milwaukee brushed is about to rattle itself apart. I probably should replace it with the brushless, but that Dremel is tempting me. I just find that wherever I go, no one does rotary tools like Dremel.
Thanks for all the hard work!

I was playing around with the M12 detail sander, and looking at other sanding pads. You could feel the huge increase in vibration with the pad removed - they clearly have a weighted counterbalance inside that tool.
Tool alone with a bit, and tool actually engaged with something. Sanding drum on wood would be my guess for the most consistent?
Just speculating, but a chuck with a lot of asymmetry might be worse under sideways load.

Another excellent comparison and thank you for putting it together. It's kind of tough to beat that Milwaukee 5 year warranty coupled with the new brushless model. Dremel is a mainstay from most folks and we use their accessories regularly during production. As for a corded option, the Foredom TX motor with the flex shaft and foot pedal is our go-to.

Waiting to upgrade my M12 to the BL when there is a decent sale. Recently I've been using the 18v brushless Ryobi HP rotary tool, the foredom type with flex shaft. That thing is a BEAST, I've tried to bog it down and man it just goes, super super powerful, you should test that out if you get a chance, by far the most powerful cordless 1/8 inch rotary tool. I only paid $68 for it tool only in HD clearance isle. Great buy I highly recommend that Ryobi.

You can always get an adapter, I use Milwaukee and dewalt batteries in my xbu03z blower and there’s absolutely no difference the tools (you can even get adapters to use m18 dewalt 20v packs in an m12 tool if you wanted) using the adapter I use, it doesn’t affect the on board battery fuel gauge on the tools either ime but just make sure you get one with a low voltage cutoff or you’ll kill your batteries but Mannnnyyy of em have that LVC and the expensive adapters don’t always equal quality that’s for sure

@@Tools-Tested I think the bluetooth is gimmicky too.
However the lifetime warranty is attractive - sort of. Had not heard about that until this video.
Is it a solid, no bs useful warranty? What is covered and do they honor it without a hassle?
Also, is it safe to assume that all these tools except the Proxxon will accept Dremel accessories like the right angle adapter & flex tool? That Milwaukee BL looks like a beast.

Thank you this is good to know, i guess they chose it that way so it remains compatible with the various ad-ons like the dremel 220 workstation.
I've opened the Milwaukee and it appears to have an ordinary non-proprietary motor (not POWERSTATE) that is the same size as the dremel , meaning that the performance gap comes down to how insanely high the discharge rate on the Milwaukee batteries is, most powertools use samsung/panasonic batteries that can only manage burst discharge rates of ~15 amps (12.4V*15A= 190 watts)
