*TOM BRADY ISN'T REALLY A GREAT QUARTERBACK* To explain how I achieve my perspective: I analyze the games by contrasting the differences between sincere performance vs. pretending. The easiest way to do this is by studying the games of the Patriots during Tom's career in New England. As we know, the Patriots exemplified sincere performance...in other words, they were playing to win. In fact, from 2001-2019 Patriots won 36 more regular season games than the next best winner, the Steelers. Think about that: The next best NFL team was not even remotely close to being the winner that the Patriots were. In Tom Brady's first 100 games at home, the Patriots won 87 times. That's an 87-13 record over a dozen years. It's like going 14-2 for six consecutive seasons. So clearly we can learn the way sincere, competitive football is played by closely watching the Patriots. AND by watching their opponents we can learn how the pretenders play. By spotting the key differences in the two styles of play we can learn how they script an NFL game. I've watched a lot of Patriot games using this analysis method. These are the differences: 1. Patriots use tight man-to-man coverage most of the time. And they do so regardless of the scoreboard. Even when in the lead Patriots never get soft or allow uncovered receivers. 2. Patriots always look back for the incoming pass. As soon as the receiver looks back for the ball the Patriot defender does so as well. Patriot will always try to intercept or attempt to deflect the ball if at all possible. 3. Patriots always attack the passing pocket aggressively. They crumble the pocket around the quarterback, applying interior pressure from up the middle and outside pressure from edge rushers. 4. Patriots don't bite on fake handoffs. They remain in position to defend the pass. 5. Patriots anticipate and shut-down screen passes...closing in rapidly and usually making a successful first tackle. So...how about the pretenders? The defenses that play against Tom Brady? These guys do NOT play the same way. 1. Pretenders play soft zone coverage most of the time. Tom often delivers his passes to receivers who appear to be standing on _empty practice fields_ devoid of an opposing team. But what's even crazier is: This prevent defense continues *no matter how many points the opponent is losing by.* Tom's opponents remain in soft, prevent defense even when they should be trying to aggressively prevent catches and get the ball back for their offense. 2. Pretenders do NOT look back for Tom's incoming passes. They simply stare at the Patriot receiver and allow him to make the catch. Tom can throw highly interceptable passes that bounce off the heads or backs of the defender. 3. Pretenders never crumble Tom's pocket. Instead they appear to be weaklings who can never get off their blocks, remaining glued to the Patriot offensive linemen. Edge rushers run too far beyond Tom's pocket, ending up 4 yards _behind_ Tom as he releases his passes from a perfectly clean pocket. Instead of manly determination and aggression like the Patriots exhibit, the pretenders exhibit _cowardice_ ...Seemingly afraid of the Patriot blockers. 4. Pretenders bite on EVERY fake handoff that Tom makes. Never do they remain in their positions to cover receivers. Tom fakes handoffs constantly yet each one _completely fools_ the pretend defense. 5. Pretenders absolutely never anticipate Tom's screen passes. Tom throws an absurd amount of quick, lateral passes that always succeed for a 10-yard gain. And pretenders always miss the first tackle by slowing down and allowing the receiver to escape. Well as we can see, the NFL features two styles of play: The real and the fake. Once a fan learns the differences they will be amazed that the NFL has been fooling them for so long.
Did you mean that when Brady left, the Patriots changed their style of play and were transformed from "sincere" to "pretend" players like all other losing teams? I applaud your efforts to debunk the greatness of Brady; however, if there was any truth to your analysis, didn't you think that losing teams would have made the necessary adjustments to improve their standing? No? Because they have been part of a grand conspiracy to defraud the fans by making Brady look great, was that it?
@@s.t.santos5928 I can say with certainty that the Patriots played the role of pretenders when they played Tom's Bucs. Two Patriots should have been able to intercept, but just ignore the easy opportunity. Obviously game is already showing major signs of being scripted for the Bucs to win. 4:19 Patriots fail to pressure Tom with a 5-man rush? All Patriots appear weak as baby kittens. Fake pass rushes allow Tom to throw from a clean pocket as we see here. Tom cannot make a play despite this help. 4:53 _Whaaat?_ As we see, even basic competence eludes the Patriots! #80 cannot catch this ball? And even manages to fling it back into the end zone? Was he hoping to produce an instant TD for the Bucs? 5:26 _Say whaaaat?_ Patriots now coughing up easy fumbles in their own territory? Although this wasn't ruled a fumble I can already guarantee you the Bucs WILL win this game based on what I've already seen. This game is fake as a four dollar bill haha! 5:46 Patriots eager to give Tom the ball back and toss a 'give-up pass' even though QB had PLENTY of time to attempt a real conversion pass. 6:11 Phony-looking run where Patriots #9 & #53 slow-jog in pursuit. #9 seems to avoid containment of the runner, deliberately. It's the 1st quarter, folks...If Patriot defenders are slow-jogging in pursuit its NOT because they're too tired haha. Patriot #27 should be able to prevent the 1st down but makes NO EFFORT. 6:28 Tom throws an interception but Patriot #27 won't catch it. We see #27 pop-up and 'sell' that he dropped it due to offensive pass interference but nah...he just dropped it on purpose. 7:10 Patriots rush 5 but again cannot possibly pressure Tom! All pass rushers appear to be weak boys vs grown men. Tom completes for the 2nd play in a row against Patriot #27 - who after dropping Tom's interception, has suddenly lost all capability to cover simple routes. SUMMERY: This game is clearly scripted in the normal manner for Tom to win: His opponent will not score until Tom manages to take a lead, even displaying a highly implausible level of basic incompetence on offense. Tom may be poor as he usually is, but never will this result in an interception or a pass rush. Tom's running game will always be effective as well as his simple screen-passes. Somehow these will always work out well to allow Tom's offense to click despite his lack of play-making ability. It's hard for Tom to be bad enough NOT to take an eventual lead in these games. No matter how basic and ineffective he may be, his opponent will just remain _even worse_ UNTIL he scores. As we see, even this recent game matches Tom's career pattern of perfect 'plot convenience' - exactly as if Tom is the 'main character' in the teleplay, and his supporting characters, (the Patriots) set him up to fulfill a scripted victory. Patriots rushed 8 times in the entire game and gained -1 yard. But...these are the patriots...The team that could ALWAYS manage to run efficiently when Tom played there. Tom enjoyed endless run-support with the Patriots. Hmmm....how did the Patriots suddenly forget everything about how to run the football? Could it be that the Patriots I.Q. for basic football strategy plummeted so that Tom could win? Did they really think they'd win by running 8 times?? But maybe the Patriots are just bad at rushing? Well, they had rushed for more yards than the BUCS coming into this game haha. Funny how every team's I.Q. plummets whenever they play against Tom Brady haha. And no pass rush on a final drive? Bill the genius Belichick just lets Tom get into FG range with no protest? He doesn't know to pressure the quarterback? haha! Of course Bill knows!
