  • In today's video I will be talking about a training method which I like to call Progressive Frequency Training. This training method allows you to work up to crisper and better aim by reprogramming your muscle memory by using a key technique in bot training.

    This principle is taught in Buddy Rich's Snare Drum Rudiments - where you set tempo as low as 40 BPM in order to play each hit on tempo and understand the motions at its core, then up tempo once it is understood at this painfully slow pace.
    I think this video is brilliant for applying the same principle to CS: GO aim in tangible and trainable ways. It's like lifting the bar before adding weight, as well. Form over speed.

      This principle is also taught when learning to hold breath under water. They start at low level, that are too easy. And progress upward to a level they cant handle anymore.

    On the first day my average KPM was around 80-86 and now after a week of consistent training my KPM is around 116-122. In conclusion this training method really benefits your flicking accuracy and overall aiming efficiency so I highly recommend this training method for those who wants to step up their game in competitive cs.

    Damn thanks a lot, this is actually really good! My aim has been stagnant for a LONG time, first day I've had 85 KPM on average and barely hit 90 KPM with really bad accuracy, it's third day now and I can consistently shoot 95-97 already with perfect accuracy and without just chaotically aiming!
    To add on this: it'll be beneficial to train in multiple sets, like 5-10 minutes training, 2-5 minutes rest, repeat.

    • @kurushimee
      @kurushimee 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RickM-ce3yz You don't need to move away from this technique ever though, you can still use this technique and just up your speed a little when you can, maintaining near 100% accuracy so shooting only when your crosshair is exactly on the enemy's head, you're also training your hand-eye coordination this way since you need to find a head with your eyes, move your crosshair over to it, check if your crosshair is on the head, and if so fire.
      But it will be beneficial to incorporate other training besides this, tracking is a important thing as well

    I usually do this sort of Training in dm, I didn't know there was an actual set of training area for it but mine is a bit different, I first start with a desired weapon and I shit walk with it the entire time, then I start to walk normally and adjust my aim a bit faster and then I start to Bhop and go full aim. It really helps with muscle memory and then to shot when flicking fast. I totally recommend this video to anyone who wants to train their aim

      @@RickM-ce3yz Yeah 1 hour per month can negate to little to no effect, it'd be exponentially better to train for like 1 hour per week or more, because with so much rest in 1hr per month your muscles and brain can simply forget the training or not train at all since it's not enough of a consistent load for them to bother changing something, it's like a one time thing in this case

  • @franciscoavila5943

    Like everything where you need precision, start slowly and practice to create a memory into your muscle and then, increase the rhythm while you practice and feel comfortable with the movement.
    Like if you want to learn and play the guitar, you have to do the same with a metronome. Starting slowly and increase the rythm while you create the muscle memory.

    Practising aim is easy but damn practising recoil properly is royal pain in the ass. Also by doing this practice it is cool to praticise recentering as well. Aim right biceps then move crosshair to head then lets say on another target aim left shoulder then hand. Even when you miss it is still good practice. Also don't forget to include stuterteping and try it increase KPM by doing it after each kill.

    I have practised my aim for over 1,5 years and experimented with different mindsets, which has gone to show flaws in my in-game mechanical ability. It's really important to know exactly what you're practising so that you're sure how to handle situations in the competitive environment.

    I tried this out for about 7 days and had decent results:
    KPM Day 1: 44.6
    KPM Day 7: 87.3
    Heads (%) Day 1: 57.5
    Heads (%) Day 7: 93.5
    Idk if this is relevant to anyone, but I think it was a good practice. Include deathmatches though of course.

    So the gist of the training is to develop good muscle memory? Avoiding over flicking or under flicking. The concept is good how you practice it slow, but just imagining doing it is so painful hahaha. I'll try doing it though next time I practice.
    Also have you tried aim_practice with the SG 553 and AUG? God damn that thing is an intense headshot machine in practice.

      This would be pretty good for straight beginners, like me. This would train muscle memory very efficiently. However, after awhile of doing this, you would have to start fast, if not your muscle memory will be reset, and it would not help much.

      a standard mouse sensitivity would be of around 1 with a dpi of 800. Find whats more comfortable for you. The lower, the better as you have more precise control over your movements

    What would you recommend for players which might need to change their eDPI? Mine is currently at 1600 and I feel confident with it because I always played on a high sens, but I dont know whether it’ll be worth readjusting to lower sensitivities

    • @lethinhphong
      @lethinhphong 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I recommend not to. The rule of thumb for me is: you want to have the edpi that enables you to freely move around checking corners (90/180 degree turn) while hitting accurate shot. With that said, just work on your aim with your current sensitivity and you'll be fine.

    • @TheNuggzt3r
      @TheNuggzt3r 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've read and watched a lot about that topic and would sum it up like this:
      The sens should be as low as possible, as long as you can still move through the map without always lifting your mouse / do a 180.
      I didn't feel like changing my sens was a huge deal but you will have some very annoying hours afterwards. So if that doesn't bother you you could experiment a bit.

    • @dmitrixallo7072
      @dmitrixallo7072 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Phong Lee yeah after a week or so of lowering/ testing a new sens I am going back to my old one, or around it. I do feel like I could be more accurate with the lower sens, but it’s a pain to move around, especially when I jump a lot to throw off the opponents (as an awper) and also when I try to bhop.

    • @dmitrixallo7072
      @dmitrixallo7072 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheNuggzt3r yeah I am going back to my old one I think, it’s just too frustrating after so many hours spent on such sens, and considering I managed to get to supreme with it before quitting, it shows something, even when I didn’t know how to practice or practice at all.

    • @grqfes
      @grqfes ปีที่แล้ว

      i'd say you havent put enough time in to get used to it, and of course your mousepad and mouse make a big difference also. if your mouse is heavy and mousepad is slow then higher sens isnt that bad because you have more control (even though optimal control would be light mouse and slow pad). i have a light mouse and fast pad and my edpi is half yours, 800 dpi and 1 sens ingame. its about a lot of different factors, not just these few numbers you gave us.

      Its been 7 days,and I have trained 5 out of 7 days with this technique.
      I trained mostly on aim_botz with this technique and it's been good.
      I'm better at flicks and more consistant with aim,but I would recommend if you want to improve aim to play aimgod (now known as Aimbeast) or kovaak's because this aim trainers are specifically made for improving aim and you will need only practice recoile in csgo.
