I tried to get the displacement to work but couldnt, it just made the entire mesh bounce strangely. However I did figure out a solution. I modeled a plane and then deformed it using displace to do with perline noise until it was to my liking, and turned nanite just in case, now the movement is move obvious and the mesh displacement i added gives it added appeal.
This looks really good! Have you tried using a flow map to move the darker parts of lava (which are more solid) around the intersection with objects? It might help make it look a bit more realistic, albeit only working in short distances from the camera.
That’s a great idea. My intention was to introduce a flexible framework that can be easily customized and improved. Your suggestions could help achieve that.
Thanks for the tutorial but I have the same issue. My displacement is just not working like in the tutorial. :( If I set it extremely high, the whole of my plane just oscillates.
I figured out the problem is that a normal plane doesn't have enough vertices but I'm still very new to UE. What mesh do you use? I have a river mesh with more vertices but I'm still not seeing the same displacement you have. Thanks!

Loving these tuts...
Much appreciated

Good Job Master , I hope you make more material tutorials , they are very useful
So do I. There’s a lot to talk about.
All I need is time ;)
Nice one Reza, thanks!
Great to hear
I miss the mix node in UE !
