As entertaining and informative as the first one: the pefect mix of personal experience, education/instruction and humor! Thanks Steve for suggesting a third AND thank you for interviewing/producing/uploading weekly. 👏 ❤️
I was attending classes at the Ch'an Meditation Center in 1990s with Master Sheng Yen. He is a very wise master. He probably have a recorded lecture in Chinese.
56:00 onward is excellent, highly recommend to anyone here looking to listen for experiences. I come to this channel for experiences, seems like a lot focus too much on their biography instead though :( not saying that about this man of course :)
All books by Master Sheng Yen would provide an excellent entry. For example these: Subtle Wisdom, The Sword of Wisdom, Attaining the Way, Faith in Mind, There is No Suffering (commentary on the Heart Sutra). From there one could further explore the teachings of Hsu Yun (Chan Master Empty Cloud), and treatises of the ancient Chan masters such as Bodhidharma, Hui Neng, Ma-tsu, Linchi, Hongzhi, Dahui and others. Another great book: The Zen teachings of Bodhidharma (by Red Pine / Bill Porter). Also take a look at the booklet "In the Spirit of Chan" by Master Sheng Yen that lays out the core principles of Chan in a very concise way (google for: in the spirit of chan sheng yen - and you'll find a link to the .pdf)
I find the life stories inspiring. For example, Milarepa was a simple peasant son who had made a lot of crap in early youth . But he finds an authentic teacher and develops from a literal murderer to a highly developed, liberated spirit who could help countless beings. If dharma stories keep lazy, untalented lazy dogs like me at bay, then that's helpful after all!

1:27:25 you teach the proper depth! Thank you for teaching deep, way too many teachers teaching safely.
We need more sharing and inspiring through their experiences.
Please recommend a thorough book on Chan Buddhism.
