Fantastic overview. Utterly confounding why these instructions aren't written up on the Kali page. Someone smarter than I should submit a pull request.
this was a great step by step i did have some problems but was able to get it up and running. Anyone having issues, after you first get in and do the apt update, do a apt full-upgrade to make sure everything is up to date before moving forward. I reimaged the SD card like 20 times before I tried something different.
Gr8 video... plz allow me to say that I found that you can actually run the two systemctl command B4 you reboot into physical keyboard interface only thus skipping directly into fully functional suit. share & enjoy
TURN AUTOROTATE OFF by swiping down and making sure the arrows icon is black. I had this on, set it down, then when it asked for what users to be added I reoriented it as I was picking it up and it continued on its own… wish me luck! Update: It just asked me again later. How did you know exactly what I was trying to do? Seriously, though, great video!
Would imagine you need to do the inverse of 'sudo systemctl disable lightdm' and 'sudo systemctl enable phosh' So it'd be 'sudo systemctl disable phosh' and 'sudo systemctl enable lightdm'
It is not exclusive to VIM. At 5:49 on your video there is a top row of keys. Esc Tab Ctrl Alt arrow. Those are the keys to which I am referring. What keyboard layout are you using? When you hit the globe key next to 123, what does it show? Thanks for entertaining my questions and thanks for the tutorial video.
Thanks so much bro! It's ridiculous that it's so challenging to get the normal packages..... the phosh kali image for pinephone should come with it all. Anyways. Peace!
hey bud, unrelated to the download - Ive never had issue, but I cant get anything to work to be able to enter login details once I hit light DM. Ive tried several times over past couple months. Have you ever had same issue and found away to get around it?
Do you mean its not picking up the USB keyboard? Might be worth trying a different USB-C hub/connection. I can only guess its not liking the one you're currently trying. That, and I've also noticed that some keyboards draw much more power than others- if you can, try a very basic keyboard rather than a fancy gaming one for example. It might be trying to draw too much voltage from the phone if so. A long time ago I had one of the original raspberry pi's and had a similar issue- turned out it was the keyboard I was using which is why I mention the voltage draw.
I've tried 3 different docks including its actual pine dock, 2 different OTGs, different keyboards, I cant bring up onscreen keyboard, I've quite literally driven myself to madness trying to get around it lol ... Im not sure if theres something little im missing like a driver, but its doin my head in. theres similar posts around, but none that have helped me so far. Im gonna need therapy after this crack i reckon @@atommo918
What it is possible to hack wifi with kali nethunter ? I,m install recently fully setup with root ! So i,m trying to wifite but no luck any networks even i connect wifi adapter i have tp Link adaptor but same so if you have any testes sultion so plz share me best wishes
I'm sure its possible, but seems a bit complicated. Found this after searching: www.reddit.com/r/pinephone/comments/zr76zq/pinephone_pro_using_nethunter_not_detecting/ At some point I'll try it myself. To check, are you using a Pinephone, or are you using the Android version?
Thanks for explaining this. I wondered why it didn't have any of the tools.
It's always the tutorials with 100 views that help the most
Thanks bud

Good stuff. I think I’ll finally find a use for my PinePhone that’s been sitting around for a few years doing nothing 😅
you are literally the best. better than all the popular goof channels. i wish nothing but good things for you in this timeline. thank you.
Solid video brother! Thanks for helping complete the setup on my pinephone pro!

Flawless tutorial. Worked like a charm. Thank you 👍🏼 🤙🏼🤙🏼
thanks a lot! finally it works!
You can actually run the systemctl disable lightdm/enable phosh before rebooting to avoid the x login
How do you go back into the desktop version just curious ?
Would imagine you need to do the inverse of 'sudo systemctl disable lightdm' and 'sudo systemctl enable phosh'

How did you change your Terminal Layout Shortcuts?
I didn't customise any of the shortcuts here. If you're talking about the 'vim' part then those shortcuts are part of 'vim' itself, not the terminal.

@@TikiBob-i2o It just says 'English (US)'. The layout was like that from stock- I didn't customise it.
I wasn't able to make changes to the keyboard, so I went back one version to 2024.1. That fixed the keyboard layout.
