For those that already have this gun it responds very well to a tune where you can install a Vortek chrome vanadium 135 / 35 coil spring and polish the trigger components. I did this with my two Walther Parrus 22s one with the polymer stock and other with wood stock - they both shoot the CP 14.3s at 930 FPS and are just as accurate or if not more than the Parrus reviewed in this video. The trigger of this rifle is not as smooth as the Diana TO6 or the HW Reckord but it is a very good trigger for hunting and it is solidly built. The Parrus is top of the line German workmanship. I also the wood stock model in 177 which is excellent right out of the box and needed no tuning- shoots the CP 7.9g at 1010 FPS very accurate. I got my 3 Parrus at very low prices because I guess they weren’t selling the way they intended so as to compete with the Diana 350 - great for me I got the at burnout prices and I’m very happy.
Hi there . I'm looking at the Parrus for hunting small game. I'm new this, so would the parrus be a good gun without tuning ? I'm also looking at the ruger magnum.
Got the parrus in .22 here in Canada, love it so much! The interesting thing is mine is shooting 40-50 + FPS more than yours, and it shoots like a dream, I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy one, it’s honestly so surprising that the parrus didn’t get more hype because it’s such a great gun for such a low price! Especially German engineering for that low of a price! the quality is great, literally seems unbreakable, also the accuracy is unbelievable for a magnum springer, putting out about 26 fpe, well mine does atleast, I’d suggest buying one before they are out of stock everywhere
Just got the Parrus at Pyramyd and waiting for it to be delivered. Heading over now to your site for thr bipod!! So excited to use this gun. Love your review!
It's a great gun! I have had mine for just over 2 years now and I got the wood stock. The Beech stock is nice but the colour was a reddish colour so I refinished it with a Walnut stain and 9 coats of Tru Oil. Fantastic stock now! The wood doesn't feature the palm swell like the syn stock does. One thing to note to you shooters just purchasing this gun, If you plan to scope the gun, PUT A SOLID QUALITY 1 PIECE mount on it! I had a set if Millet 2 piece rings and after my 5th shot I couldn't figure out why I wasn't hitting the target anymore at 25 yards. The rear mount had its mounting lips sheared off from the recoil! The lips are what tighten down into the 11mm dovetail. Other than that this is a fantastic powerful break barrel! I also share your comments on the trigger, though not a bad trigger, it isn't the best either and it's plastic! Come check us out on Facebook, Airgun Addicts Anonymous Group.

Another great review. I bought this in .177 and it is a monster. Even with a heavy pellet, it has a ton of velocity and lots of slap. I went to the heavier pellets because it will regularly break the sound barrier with anything less than 10 grains. When I was about 10, my dad brought back a match-grade Springfield 30-06 from Picatinny Arsenal, where he was working on a construction job. Shooting the Parrus is similar. It's not a particularly user-friendly shooting experience It will shoot the scope off if you don't invest in solid mounts, and it has as much slap as any air rifle in my stable. Oh, my, is it accurate, though, and in many cases appears to put out as much as many of my .22 caliber guns. A keeper.

They are both excellent. You can not go wrong with either. I lean a bit towards the spring because of tuning in that you can change out springs to increase or decrease velocity.
Hello again. Just bought a Walther Parrus in 5.5 mm in Serbia. I have Gamo pro magnum diabolos. But they won't fit entirely in tne barrel. Is this because of the rifle or diabolos are too big?
Hello from Canada. I’m looking between the Gamo magnum jungle .22, Ruger air magnum .22, or the Walther Parrus.22 for hunting small game. Any one you recommend as a better option ? good durability under harsh weather and precision are my main criteria.
I picked up a BSA Outlook at your recommendation for this rifle and I think it will end up being a great combo. I’m having issues with the scope backing off the dovetail rail. Do you know if the scope rings that come with the BSA Outlook are weaver style and maybe that’s why I’m having issues? Thanks for your time and help!
It varies depending on the specific rifle. When you are talking about a PCP, there is no recoil, so your selection in optics is unlimited. When it comes to Breakbarrels you need a scope to handle the reverse recoil.
No...I was shooting off the bipod which is much more stable than the artillery hold or even bag resting. I needed to make sure I had a good group on camera! b:) A magnum break-barrel requires a bit more grip than the average springer. Thanks for watching!
I'm seeing some guns with the Umarex brand in front of them. This Walther Parrus is one. Ruger Air Magnum is another. Is it the same gun or is it just Umarex's version of the same gun?
Hi! Congratulations for your honest and very useful reviews! I m writing from Portugal 🇵🇹! I would love to have your suggestion/recommendation regarding to a riffle purchase! I want to buy a powerful and high quality air rifle for hunting , pest control , targets etc...the options are Diana 48 , 460 mag, weirauch Hw90 ( gas ram ) and Whalter parrus. They all have similar prices here in europe ( 500/600 euros )The whalter is the cheaper( almost half of the price, about 300). However price is not an issue. I just want a very good one! Can you help! Tks
Hi John, I took the plunge on this one. Had a hard time resisting the current pricing, so I ordered in both 177 and 22. Your review is great-great smile from the person introducing airgundetectives!! I ordered a UTG 3-9x40, and a Hawke Vantage 3-9x40 as well. I’m just taking a leap to try and find good combinations for a better air rifle. Also wondering if you could suggest scope mounts?? One piece? Thank you! Wondering if you had time to fiddle with the trigger yet? I’m sure what to expect yet, but understand it is one of the features that might need a little touch.. Thanks again for a great review!
Maybe the 22 is OK but you are wasting your money on the 177, it's way over sprung, recoiling monster, by the way if you are a weihrauch or Diana fan forget this the trigger is crap, and the adjustable trigger doesn't allow you to adjust anything, it's got a piston weight up front that makes the recoil off the planet. The biggest Airgun shop in my country said this gun in either calibre was rubbish because of the trigger, and Walther should stick to making barrels! After being passed one by a friend who couldn't hit a barn door I stripped it and checked out everything! Don't buy this gun you will regret it! PG German Air rifle tuner
Walther saved money on trigger and in the same time they wanted to compete with rekord and T06. fully adjustable, two stage trigger is a MUST in high quality springer,
I'm really irritated by the majority of producers not stating the max. kinetic energy of their gun with the SPECIFIED pellet. They should at least state the WEIGHT of the pellet with which one can expect such and such velocity...
Do you ever notice that every break barrel you test groups amazing at 20? Why on earth not group test these at 30 to really separate them out? Another option would be to just drop that pointless part of the review altogether.

The things I do for you guys!! :) www.walmart.com/ip/Walther-Parrus-22-Break-Barrel-Pellet-Air-Rifle-Synthetic-Stock-Black/51642456
How do you keep a scope on this thing
1 piece mount
What kind of a log do you keep on your air guns?
Plz also review Walther Terrus in .22 cal
So bottom LINE!!, once AGAIN, love you're channel, what is really better quality, gas piston or Springer??
They are both excellent. You can not go wrong with either. I lean a bit towards the spring because of tuning in that you can change out springs to increase or decrease velocity.
Can you recommend some good scopes that can handle a magnum springer ?
Do you know if anyone makes a scope stop for the Parrus? I can see that it has a hole on the rail about an inch from the safety.
Just a question, what kind of scopes do you like to put on your air guns
It varies depending on the specific rifle. When you are talking about a PCP, there is no recoil, so your selection in optics is unlimited. When it comes to Breakbarrels you need a scope to handle the reverse recoil.
hey i was wondering, what scope adapter rail are you using on the rifle? mine just came in and can’t seem to find the right one to purchase. thank you
You say its spring powered or nitro piston??
This is .22 or .177 ?
Great shooting! It looks like you held the rifle a bit more firm than the typical artillery hold. Is that the case ?
No...I was shooting off the bipod which is much more stable than the artillery hold or even bag resting. I needed to make sure I had a good group on camera! b:) A magnum break-barrel requires a bit more grip than the average springer. Thanks for watching!
@@AirgunDetectives Thank you !
what scope adapter rail you using ?
I'm seeing some guns with the Umarex brand in front of them. This Walther Parrus is one. Ruger Air Magnum is another. Is it the same gun or is it just Umarex's version of the same gun?
No,they are not the same rifle.Ruger is a China made clon of Diana 350.
Parrus is made in Germany, and it's by far better rifle.
Does anyone know what "Parrus" means?
Masculine- Noun- Singular Translate "parrus" to English: "Vagina" Really! LOL
Try this....Parrus Name Meaning: Its Powerful Symbolism, Destiny and Luck.
Hi there, do you prefer Walther Parrus more or Sig ASP20 ?
The Sig ASP20 is more expensive. Both are good rifles but I would choose the Sig.
@@AirgunDetectives Thank you for your opinion, much appreciated, love your LGU review, I also have one in 177. cheers
what scope are you using on it in this video?
Here you go...good price too amzn.to/34tqGS0 👍😉
Tks
hw90 ,for sure.Spare parts without problem. At least in Spain.

Hey all. I’m new to airguns. I am thinking of ordering the Sig ASP 20 in .22 cal. This seems to be really similar.
No the SIG is way better
Plastic trigger?
Yes...but military grade plastic.
That was a great 20 yard group for a 200 dollar german gun with just enough power for racoons
Do you ever notice that every break barrel you test groups amazing at 20? Why on earth not group test these at 30 to really separate them out? Another option would be to just drop that pointless part of the review altogether.
I do not underatand the obsession with .22 cal !
