Hey Archer, thanks for the quality video. I keep missing words when scanning through the passage in VR. What do you suggest I do to prevent that from happening without compromising timing?
Read the whole passage. If you are given a stimulus as a doctor about a patient, you’re not going to scan and skim read it, you will look read it carefully for the parameters that each of their tests are at, e.g BGL. So if the ucat is testing this ability similarly to what I just mentioned, there is no reason to skim read. Read the whole text. It will take long to do so, however, practicing efficiently and removing procrastination points and mistakes will make this process natural and hence, faster.
@@astic4254 dude the method you are suggesting is some what okay but this is not always good and there is a difference when you check for a patient stimulus you do not have 45sec to answer the bloody question. Therefore skim reading questions are good avanue to speed up the process. You just need to get the question right whilst speed reading, thats the practice you have to do.
@@MasterNinja786 Yep. Exactly, what you tried to rebuttal is the differentiating factor between why a medical school should choose you over other people - need to be able to make quick decisions with thorough understanding still present in mind sometimes (like in serious emergencies).
Hey Jamal, just got one right above the camera and one from the back (with an orange light in it). Also got a blue lamp that's usually behind my screen monitors.
Hi Aneeqa, you'll need to use Kolb's to figure out the specific reasons you find QR tables hard and action on that. Unfortunately and quick tips I give are probably general and so general it won't really make sense for you and your weaknesses. Hope that makes sense.
A bit late here. But I’m currently in my prep for the ucat. I started last month, a bit late due to some complications and priorities I needed to focus on, but I’ve been going through each area. What’s the best advice you could give me when approaching each section as an overall point of feedback?
This is the realest video I have watched about UCAT
thank you!! means a lot :)
you're my favourite UCAT content creator so far!
Wow! Thank you so much :)
This is so helpful! Well done Archer!
Thank you so much :)
