Hi all, I was new to streaming when I made this video. Do yourself a favor and skip over my craft beer plug and skip to 1:50. Cheers and Blue Skies!!

Some D or T nuts would be ideal to insert into the wooden frame first for the bolts to then screw in to, but of course that puts the cost up a bit. My only concern being over time the bolts will start to release from the wood because as you said they’re technically not designed for griping into wood

They will be fine for what he is using them for

Great video, loved the detail! Just wanted to check, did you drill any holes in the wood first? Or were the Fanatec bolts ok at biting straight into the wood?

Great question! I predrilled small holes first then drilled the bolts in.
Thank you for watching and for your question!

Hi Jake, since I built the DIY mounting frame I have purchased a GT Omega stand, but I assure you, the cheap mounting frame worked perfectly! The only reason I bought the GT Omega stand was due to the fact I got a new desk that shook from the force feedback from my Fanatec wheel so I had no choice (didn't like seeing my monitor bounce all over the place). If you are interested in the stand, I have a video putting it together (th-cam.com/video/Fs1w2Rtj4gk/w-d-xo.html). Let me know if you would be interested to see it in action.
Thank you for watching and for commenting. Hopefully my video helped. Cheers!

Can this be done for the csl load cell pedals ?

@@SimFanatic thanks I actually went ahead and did it a few days ago managed to set the braking force to 60%.

@@AdzzVR That's awesome! Isn't it nice to be able to have resistance in braking and not have your pedals move across the floor?
      Happy racing my friend!
