This train is run by sugar cane company, used to transport sugarcane every harvest season, so they didnt operate regularly, but every about a week or two before harvest they will inspect the rail like this one. Sorry bad english tho

Ive seen that the residue from sugar cane can be used to make "canecrete", which is supposed to be stronger than normal concrete, is there any truth to that theory?

Haha the little diesel that could! That little loco could _not_ care _less_ that there was no visible track there. Before it passed by, you would _never_ guess that this was actually a railway line and not just a farmers dirt road. This was actually rather amusing to watch! Thanks for sharing it with us! :)
There were workers checking the rails before this. so this locomotive is confident. After this locomotive has done this inspection, then the track will be cleared by the workers. This is a sugarcane transport train in Indonesia which will undergo the sugarcane harvest season (milling season). The train runs only during the sugarcane harvest season, in this video the locomotive conducts inspections before being passed by the train regularly during the sugarcane harvest season soon.

Saya amat takut kemungkinan besar lokomotif akan terkeluar atau tergelincir dari landasan. Tapi nampaknya tidak. Lokomotif berupaya berjalan di atas landasan, meskipun dengan perlahan sekali. Yang peliknya saya tak mengerti semasa kerja pembinaan jalanraya (road resurfacing works), kenapa asphalt juga ditabur sehingga menutupi landasan rel sepenuhnya. This sure impressive to see Ahmad (I see it's Ahmad not Ahmed, i had a good friend named Ahmad in the Netherlands). I would worry about the locomotives wheels though, I guess this operation this way will at least lead to the wheels being heavily worn out, which can later possibly lead to loss of traction and also derailment. It is rather sad how poorely railways get maintenanced. But cool to see this is even possible. Well made videos

I don't know the truth, here "canecrete" is never made from a mixture of sugarcane bagasse/residue sugar cane.
