It was okay compared to the other monsterverse movies. They shouldve made it so that there was a secret villian like destroyah, space godzilla, and king ghidorah coming back to fight godzilla and kong. And like imagine a 2v2v2 thats godzilla x kong, scar king x shimo, and mecha godzilla x mecha kong fighting near the end. Also, the movie had way too much screentime for the humans and the fights were too little and short. The CGI was worse and not good compared to other movies. They also shouldve made shimo already evil without scar kings control so destroying the crystal wouldve been useless.
Your 2v2v2 idea would have been great. I also agree with you about Shimo and the screen time for the humans.
It was awesome. I missed so much the first time. Seen it twice. Will go again before the weekend ends

I personally like that Kong has good facial expressions that relay what he’s feeling without words. It could’ve used more Godzilla scenes though
Yeah, this was definitely more of a Kong movie than a Godzilla one.
I wouldn't say it was very bad...but definitely a downgrade when compared to godzilla vs kong

I totally disagree. The character that went through the development is Kong. Everything was nonverbal and that was incredible. Jia not knowing where she belonged and finding that at the end was a BEAUTIFUL story. The humans were fun, Trapper is hilarious and his friendship with Bernie is fun! Entertainment can equal good. Well either way it's tracking better than Dune so I guess it is a good movie lol. And this isn't comparable to Godzilla Minus One. Not the same studio or anything. That is people's problem when they put this film down. It's a fun popcorn movie to enjoy with family. You were entertained and it met the goal of the film was supposed to do, therefore it was good.

I really prefer the last one more. Never saw minus one so I can’t comment. I didn’t like that Godzilla was sidelined.
Yeah, it could’ve used more Godzilla. Minus One was an extremely good film. It’s a whole different animal and it probably wasn’t fair of me to compare, but it’s hard not to compare since it was the last time we saw Godzilla.
Every f*ck boi on the tube is a "critic" now LMAO. Going to a Kaiju Movie for human character development is Crazy to me.
I agree that you don’t go to this movie for character development. Doesn’t change the fact there was none except for Kong. That’s also why I pointed out that the movie only needed to deliver on monster action, which it did a good job of. At the end of the day it was entertaining and I would watch it again.
