    A shot fake on the first step of a layup is called a ‘Pinoy step,’ as it originated from the Philippine players (Filipino=Pinoy). I only learned about this a couple weeks ago; it’s such a great move to get that defender to jump or at least rise up and then you have a clear path on your second step.
    I watch a lot of basketball knowledge/training content and you make great videos, Tucker. Lots of people obviously appreciate them a lot. Great job.

I think we would have won, but we only had 6 players and 2 fouled out before the end of the 3rd qrt and i was still nearly able to carry the team, but then they started leaving a player under the basket and throwing outlet passes to him.

    I think one thing that goes on the high IQ level for players to get open are off ball screens. Not just for the guy getting the screens but a player setting a back screen forcing his defender to guard the back door but while the guys primary defender is having to recover and the screen setter getting himself open for a shot after that

      Hmmmm, were you stressed about thinking you might lose or your own performance? I would say for either one, just putting it in perspective and realizing at your age winning and losing doesn't matter. All that really matters is growth and if you learn from the performance you had. So if you don't play well, figuring out why is important. If you approach it like that you will be less anxious about playing badly because it is just a learning experience.

      @@TuckerRichardson i just dont know, i was chill before the game and when i stepped on the field i got super stressed, maybe it was just a lack of experience because it was my 2nd basketball tournament/ game worth anything

      Those are both incredibly important, but I would also be clear that Larry Bird was an incredibly skilled basketball player.

    Is it possible to play at high levels being 5,9 tall?

      Yes, for sure! At my division 1 school I played with a few guys your size. Height isn't everything!

      I don't think so. You will obviously have to put in a lot of work, but a lot of kids find that game at a later stage!

      @TuckerRichardson  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was about 5' 10" coming into high school and then grew to about 6' 3" my 10th grade year. You are still young so have time to grow, but also so many players have made it to the next level at the size you are now!
