Chris Once we add a custom sub, then we won’t have to run the 8”s in the doors so low -> less rattle too. This simple upgrade will surprise many people!👌
Old comment, but maybe it will help others. This amp has no rca outputs. Only option is to use speaker output (maybe channels 7+8) to an amp that accepts high level inputs.
Any chance you might have an idea when the Zapco hd/dsp-z16 v pro will be released? I've been waiting for this DSP to complete my install, and I hear they are very close.
Hi, peter Does this amp sound as good as zapco Z-150.4 II ? Or Does this DAC as good as Helix DSPMINI ? I am asking beacuse I have DSPMINI and want to upgard amplifier, and this cost little higher than zapco Z series amp. So it that DSP sounds better and Amp is also good than buying this complete package is good option for me.
Hello Peter, i have a ADSP-Z8 IV-8, and today it's stop working. I tried to manage myself with an android phone, connected and all volumes were 0. Tried to set the volume up but every time i change the tab to the one who let me save, the volume goes down to 0 again. Took the laptop, manage to do the settings and save them, stop the engine(power off for zapco). When i start it, all the volumes were 0 🙁. Can you give me an advice, please?
May I ask how did you wire the tweeters / midrange? Or wasnt this an bose audio system in the first place? Because midrange and tweeter are on a shared channel and thus the same wire.
Hi Pit...If I will use 2 chanals for front component and 2 chanals for real speakers and bridge 4 chanals in to 2 on this Amp/ Dsp to run underseat sub on my bmw will I lose 2 chanels on the dsp then or I will be able to use one of the RCA output for the sub in boot and all 7 chanels will be controlled by DSP....was trying to google it but cannon find the answer.
This amp is not a great option for you then. It doesn’t have RCA outputs, that’s that. Then if you bridge 5-6 & 7-8, only 7-8 can be adjusted with the bass level on the controller, 5-6 can not be assigned to it. I’d rather suggest to use single channels for underseats, get 2ohm drivers and you get plenty of power for that, then have 7-8 bridged for sub. Check out the BMW E91 335 on the channel, we built one like that with this amp.
Can channels 7+8 speaker outputs be skipped and their RCAs run to a mono sub amp? I plan to run a Stereo Integrity 15 in a sealed box. Wondering if the 224 watts would be okay or if a separate Zapco sub amp would be needed? Thanks!
The bridged channels are enough for whatever output you get with a sub hooked onto it. Whether it’s enough for you, i can’t tell that! Some people are happy with that amount of power with a 10-12” sub too for the front-end, some people need 1000W for a sub. You can use channel 7-8 on speaker level fed into another sub amp that takes speaker level input, but there is no RCA output from this amp.
@@pssound9749 Wow that's amazing! I am wanting to upgrade my audio and have been looking at subs and speakers, but I might look into something similar! Cheers
Sounds wicked on my home system, surprised to hear there are 8s in the doors too ! Hi B !! , looks great guys.

very impressed already mate ! i know you will get the job done lol
Thinking about going with this zapco setup instead of my current separate dsp/ amp
Very nice pit
excellent, wish i'd had this in my TT
Jason Harley it’s a very simple job. 👌🤘
Very nice
Mate you need to do this to mine 😍😍
Mark Simpson Simple as you see! 😉😃
Peter how would I integrate a mono block amp using this dsp/amp setup running a active 3 way up front, I couldn't find an output on it?

I don't want to give false promises! Everyone is waiting for it big time! It would be nice to see them ship this year for sure!

Old video, I know. Does this zapco dsp force you to use it's volume knob and not the radio volume? So no steering wheel control?
You can keep the controller at full volume and then you can just use the OEM HU for level adjustment.
I have try to find the rms watt for each channel on 2 ohm but couldn't find any.
Does anyone know the specs for RMS watt for each Chanelle???
Aziz Hamdan 80W/4ohm, 120W/2ohm.

Discussed on Fb already. 👍

It was so many years ago, that i’m not sure whether we had to pull separate, extra speaker cables to the tweeters or not. Probably yes.

Thanks! My mistake -all the RCAs are inputs. I did not think about speaker level outs into another amp. I really like this Zapco unit.
What rca are you running
Does zapco dsp amps fix signal from oem radios, like eq, mixers and time delays?
No they don’t, not these.
SO this is just the aftermarket amp with the standard TT sound system?
Yes, only amp+built in DSP, which allows you to tune the OEM speakers. Car was also sound deadened.
