No ball between the deflection pieces of the individual threads. What are the deflection pieces? I assume not the return pieces. Do you have a clearer photo? Im now trying to repair a ballnut and having trouble as the ballnut gets jammed randomly.

Hi Mike. Deflection pieces means the return pieces you call it.
The return (or deflection) -peaces work eatch in one thread. So you have diferent closed ball-threads within a Ball-Nut. please be careful that there is no ball in the interspace between two deflection peaces.

The deflection peices are called flop overs. The return system keeps the balls circulating in each circuit. This is an example of a cheaper model made over seas. If you get a ball between flop overs then it will get jammed on the ballscrew. Big no no.
