ROVER 3.5 Litre V8 Engine Part 6. Deck Heights & Timing Gear....

Last time the heads were pulled off this little Rover 3.5 litre V8, this time I decided to check the deck heights were equal and removed the timing cover to see what was hidding behind...... So far this engine does look rather clean ....

I bought a 3.5 v8 landrover the bores have been soaking in diesel and waste engine oil for 7 years soon it might free up and turn over been sat and weather seized good project engine to rebuild for fun and experience

Hi Mark, if it has had water down the inlet ports it might not be good news on the inside....
