Love the suspense of the auction in this format. Not entirely knowing the disc, and not knowing what else is coming really adds something to this format.
I like the concept, but I think the auction part could maybe use some tweaks? It gets kinda repetitive hearing the small increments. Maybe for each disc, everyone makes a secret bid on the disc instead. Then reveal it at the same time, to see who won? You could also add chaos by making it the second highest bid that gets the disc.
Then get a starting stroke off for each 100$ you didnt spend, or a mulligan for each, which you only get if you got at least 2 discs.
I think that would speed up the part of the video where you arent on the course :).
this right here would add so much suspense to the bidding format, I love this idea.
The secret auction or bid is a really cool concept that would be cool to see next time. Everyone throws one bid on the same disc and highest bid wins.

Love this kinda stuff! I always watch foundation not because it's "good disc golf," but because it's fun disc golf. Just some dudes that are decent getting out there and having a blast. So good. So fun. Love it and keep it up!

I love this. Here is my proposal for next time: Have a set number of discs that the players know beforehand. Have an option to bid for the course the players play at. Have leftover money be a stroke on the course (say $100 per stroke), maybe an undo option for any shot (maybe $50 per shot), to mulligan or cancel a shot. Players go in order to put either the course or the disc up for auction.

That disc you found was lost by my 93 year old mother who happened to ace that basket, but in doing so, lost her $150 Ray ban sun glasses which lead to her losing that disc. She was hoping to auction off that autograph disc so that she could buy a new liver since she damaged it from drinking too much while watching the Foundation Disc Golf channel in her rocking chair.

Do an auction battle just like this one, but no one gets to look at the disc. They can only feel the disc for 5-10 seconds.

All you can see are the rims of the discs. No need to throw all the discs, just play the discs you like to throw or know how they fly. This is a great idea! 👍😎

Y'all should do one of these but raffle style. Everyone gets a certain number of tickets and the discs are on display with a paper bag in front of them. The players distribute their tickets between the paper bags and then someone draws a ticket to see who gets each disc. I think watching the guys decide on a ticket strategy would be fun.
For more shenanigans, you could add a potential bag swap twist. Add one last paper bag at the end from which each player draws a ticket determining whose raffle bag they play with.

Ideas for similar video;
* What about giving each person a "veto"/"block"? Each player has one veto they can use on another player, and each player can only have one veto used against them. Say there is a Zone, and Trevor uses his veto on Hunter, that way only Konner and Trevor can bid on that disc.
* Forced buy. Like above, but the opposite. Kind of. Before knowing what the next disc is going to be, lets say Konner plays this on Trevor. Trevor then rolls a 20 sided dice, where each "dot" is worth 25 dollars. If it lands on a 1, thats 25 dollars, if it lands on a 8 thats 200 dollars, 10 is 250 dollars etc. Trevor could get a crappy disc and pay a lot for it, or, get a great disc and pay next to nothing for it. Everyone has one of this to play, and only one can be played on one player. Not forced to use it, but could be fun. If a player has less money than what is required from the dice, the dice takes whats left.

I think it should go in $50 increments and you spin a wheel at the end to determine the course. That way the strategy on bidding on discs becomes more valuable instead of predetermined because you already know the holes and what discs you'd prefer

How about winner/loser has to incorporate all (or one, decide before hand) discs into the bag. Someone else mentioned secret bids but I'll give it a twist. How ever many discs are for auction, half are secret bids. then you have to bid on the discs you see, reveal at end what secret bids are. If you overbid next person with money still left gets disc, if none, disc is "lost"

Next time lay the new discs you each bought on the table have Silas move them around and you get what you pick. Could be your own bag or could be what someone else bought. Or you by them completely blind. Silas can tell you what it is like a driver or midrange. But not what kind. So it would be a blind auction

I have an idea for a challenge. Have each other person make a random bag and go play the course and have one person pick a random disc from the bag and the person has to throw the hole blind from knowing the disc.

It would be cool for the viewer to know what the disc is that is being auctioned.
We don’t get to see much of the disc outside of it being placed on the table, so it’s not the same effect on suspense and mystery that the players get. We may, as viewers, get more out of knowing and watching the players bid blind on a disc we want them to bid on.
And like another commenter said, having players place bids and then reveal them could be a lot of fun to

You could also do a draft so all the discs are visible to start with then one person doesn't end up with loads just because they have money left.
A warped Zone is the only zone i want. When they puddle top and warp thats when they get good. It is interesting how every Zone ends up becoming a bowl after a while

@@obhmusic yea I know dome drops with wear. It's just happened way worse with Zones than any other disc ive used. Like I've got a soft x zone that has dropped so much the flight plate is almost level with the bottom of the rim. It feels ridiculous to hold.

you should do the same type of auction, but everyone needs to finish with X amount of discs (say 5 for example). when you play, you can only use one disc on a hole. once you birdie with that disc, it's removed from the bag., first person to have zero discs left wins.

You could do a course clean up and the pay in weight of trash collected.
Do the same thing, but add a randomizer for who gets each "bag" at the end 🎲 So you might just have shopped the perfect bag for yourself, or just shop a weird collection of disc and hope someone else gets it 🙃

Maybe you have a mulligan system and pay with those. Like you each start with 20 mulligans. And u bid mulligans on discs. And whatever mulligans you dont spend. U have for the round. So bidding has impact on something. And the loser has to bag 1 of the discs they had during the round for a month or something. So losing has a consequence.
