I've been looking for alternatives to Casino. Thanks for the heads up. Killer guitar. More Eastman

I own one of these. I also own a '65 es 330. This holds up to the 330 in every aspect. ie: Feel, construction and tone. But I don't worry so much about the Drummers cymbal with the Eastman. You cannot beat the value of these guitars.

I've been looking at these for a year now. I think you have pushed me over the edge as I highly value your opinion.

Most interesting. It looks like something I might buy if I had the room ! I might have to do some purging of the studio racks !

Shawn Tubbs has used one for some time, he loves Lollar pickups and it turns up in a lot of his videos

The important thing to note is that where its made doesnt matter. Its how its done and how much is invested in every instrument. Usually guitars made in the east dont get the same level of investment as those in the usa which is y usa matters.. like take a tokai lp, u can get one almost built to custom shop level for the price of an american made lp. I think gibson should be looking to follow eastmans example and make some of their guitars in the same way in china. Call it an epiphone custom shop or make a gibson china brand and build them like this i guarantee theyll become a more profitable company… being hand built like this would make the les paul for example a more accurate to how they were done in the past model for the same money as standard. They shouldve followed gretsch into the far east years ago bc rn the standard line is just kind of vague imo when they could be building stuff like this which most can afford. The only standard line gibson i think is rly killing it rn is the explorer bc its a niche guitar so they can offer a killer guitar w out worrying abt hierarchy like they do w every other model.

orally .... aurally - on both measures a good demo. off to make an offer on one of these - sold most of my heavy early 70's solid bodies less is more these days.

I bought an Epi Casino last year and I love the sound plugged and unplugged and the feedback is freaking awesome!
I started to convince myself that a Royal Tan Epi ala Paul Weller but they are actually pricey... Eastman do a very similar colour but with a tasteful relic to the edges and tbh I think they are a better buy.. better quality and cheaper :0

They make some very nice guitars, but I only tend to see them sparingly around Canberra stores.

Wow, these guys don't seem to have much 60 cycle hum for having P90s...were you using any noise gates during this demo?

Absolutely superb. Brett, I'm in the market for a hollow body - this or the Romeo?!?!

Tough call, Costas. I've played both but only for a short time. However, if I had to choose, I'd take the T64/VT-GB home. It's a looser feel and lighter. The Romeo is built superbly but my playing is not as serious as its intent, I feel. It intimidates a hack like me.
