- Today we are making the best ribs you’ll ever have. We have 2 racks of St. Louis style ribs and we will be smoking them and wrapping with some special toppings. Tools and recipe below: #kamadojoe #smokedribs #bestribs

:: Ingredients ::
: Racks of ribs
: Rub of your choice
: BBQ sauce of your choice
: Squeeze margarine
: Honey
: Brown sugar
: Maple syrup
: Yellow mustard (or any other binder you want)
:: Process ::
: Get your grill up to 250/275 degrees with the smoking wood of your choice
: Trim any loose pieces off of your ribs
: Apply your binder and rub
: Put ribs on the smoker for 2 hours and be sure to spritz with apple cider vinegar (or water) every 45 minutes
: After 2 hours, wrap your rips in tin foil with brown sugar, margarine, and honey
: Put your now wrapped ribs on the smoker for 90 minutes
: After 90 minutes, remove the ribs from the foil and put back on the smoker
: Apply a layer of bbq sauce and let them sit on the grill for another 20-30 minutes or until the sauce has rendered
Followed this today. Did exactly like in the video except I used Bone Sucking Sauce and the ribs turned out perfect. Best I've ever prepared. Thanks.

I’ve always been told to put the wood under the coals because of the creosote burn off. So I usually lay my wood down then throw my coals on top.
I’ve done that as well and haven’t noticed much difference. I also see some people put the wood on top of the heat deflectors.
@@AngeloBodetti I’m a rookie so I’ve just been trying to ready up on best practices. Throwing the wood on top would definitely be much easier. Cause there’s a larger surface area to spread the out in.
Yea, honestly I don’t think it makes much of a difference. But give them both a try and see what you like best. Wood on top is my go to because it’s easier and I feel like I can control my smoke. When I put it underneath I’m not sure when it ignites or how long I’m getting smoke.
