FF1 is my favorite in the series, and the NES version my favorite version. It's fun for me to see someone talk about every little detail about it
Its my favorite in the series. The fact you can choose your party and use any combination makes this game replayable for decades. Glad you're enjoying it!

Also, the 15 puzzle game is accessed by holding A and hitting B 55 times. Think Ogre said to hit A and B together 55 times, which would be considerably more difficult haha

Love this video series. I'm trying to do my first playthrough and I'm a bit confused. I've got a Black Mage up to level 10. I have spells unlocked through L4. However I cannot buy level 4 spells in Elfheim. When I go into the black magic store only level 3 spells are available for purchase. Did I screw something up?
Level 4 spells are to the west in the same town Top left is black magic and to the right is white magic :-)

If I may be able to make only one suggestion. When going to a new place on the map could you open the world map? sometimes, like at 10:36. you mention a place but I couldn't find it on my map. Maybe I am just pronouncing it differently. Thanks again.
PS: My map may be wrong because it seems to have different names than you mentioned in your guide. For example you mention Northwest castle, but my map called it Western Keep. :)
I'll keep that in mind! Unfortunately, the names change often between versions so ill make sure to try and note that. I'll also use maps more too! See this is why I ask for comments because sometimes I just don't realize these things. Thanks for the input!

I will NEVER understand why EVERY video walkthrough of this game recommends the silver/mythril sword for the warrior. You really don't need it. Sure you get a bit more damage but that's about it. The short sword is perfectly fine for this act. Warrior lands 2 hits at level 5 with it anyways. Even when I was a kid I was able to get through the Marsh Cave at level 6 or 7. Ehh it's whatevs. This was a fun watch anyways. I oughtta do something like this on my channel lol.
The silver sword wasn't supposed to be in the game that early and its really over powered, but your correct. Its not really needed but sure does make grinding ogres for money really easy at level 5-7. It just depends on if you're the type to max out your weapons and magic before leaving towns. Fighter in general is overpowered too!
Something odd happened. I was just watching when TH-cam changed me to a different video.
Was it another of mine? If you have autoplay, it can change the video automaticly if it someone gets to the end.
@@goldenogregames it's turned off, and it wasn't even halfway though the video. One second I am listening to your voice, then the next I am hearing the top 10 video game deaths.
