  • Brown noise is showing time and again to help people with their sleep, study and focus. Ever since I discovered brown noise I've used it almost every single day! It has really really helped.
    The brown noise also helps block out external sounds and distractions, so makes it very useful when we need to block out external stimuli for; getting good sleep, studying or focusing on on a task at hand.
    This track has been mastered to remove some of the higher frequencies found in brown noise and smooth out the sound. There are no breaks, repeats or glitches. The stereo brown noise is different in each channel allowing for a more immersive experience.

    Compared to white and pink noise, brown noise uses mostly lower frequencies and is considered the closest to rainfall, waterfalls, fan noises and many other natural sound sources that provide immediate relief.

    This makes me realise why I can fall asleep more easily when I'm camping - there's always noise outside, natural noise that we have evolved to be in!

    Thanks for producing the 8 hour brown noise track. I use ocean wave sounds at night. Will give this a try.

    I'd discovered brown noise around 10 years ago (predating my ADHD diagnosis) and it helped me a lot when studying in uni, all while not realising what it was and why it helped me so much. Now I'm cracking this video open to study for my postgrad exams. Gonna be hanging out here for a while now.... thanks for this!

    Don't you think we ADHDers get stuck in the shower for hours bc shower noises are similar to this and help us relax & sort thoughts? 90% of insights and good ideas come to me in the shower))

      I think, purely anecdotally, that things like these noises can shut out the world a little....I've always found this sort of noise, or very rhythmic vocal free EDM to help when concentrating. But then, so do showers like you say, or when I walk into nature. I used to relish rain storms when I lived in my van - it brought so much peace!

      I'll be damned... I discovered the brown noise recently and found it helpful. Your shower theory? I love it! Idk if it's true or not but I hyper-focus and take those hour-long power showers!! I wonder if this is why lmao

      I think I just realised the same thing after listening to brown noise and then thinking of my long showers, my love of the sound of rain and also the low rumble of my aircon! Most of my ideas arrive in the shower too

    8 minutes in and an AD starts 😅😅🙈 btw it's the 1st time i listen to this, and it seems to be working. I feel more relaxed and i can feel my mind not rushing. I do have ADHD and sometimes i could not sleep. Sometimes due to my mind extremely rushing, other times due to randoms thoughts about things in my life appearing in my head randomly when i just wanted to sleep... Other times due to anxiety and/or episodes of depression.
    For example, now it's 5.20am and i can't sleep, but i think and i HOPE in roughly 30min I'll be asleep.
