You guys are selling every car that I ever had in my younger years, this week.
I had a 1973 VW thing. It would pull my 15 foot fantom bass boat to the lake. People use to wave at me because of the way it looked. Very dependable engine. Mine was a 4 door convertible jeep style car. It was a thrill to drive.
Owned a yellow 73 Super Beetle. Had a crank open factory moon roof. Drove many miles and bugs.Brings back memory’s.That is a clean bug!
That Bug has had some work done. Looks like a new floor pan, definitely repainted, but the dash is not cracked like lots of these Bugs get. Rain grooves look good. This is an excellent VW. I bet it pulls cause a tire is a little low. My 73 would do that when one tire would get about 5 lbs low. I will say it is idling too high. Timing needs to be adjusted down a touch. 🙂

I had a 73 super beetle yellow first car love it
I love the vw bugs. I learned how to drive in a 73 baby blue bug
My sister had one. It was a lighter shade of yellow. I think hers was a '71 or '72. I remember it had a manual stick shift, but no clutch. One night, it got stolen and she never saw it again. If I had the money, I'd buy it for her and have it shipped to her in FL.
My first car was a 73 super beetle. Great car! You can use scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner to tidy up the headliner it works great!
i bought mine brand new. drove to Colorado then i drove to Florida and finally back home to New York. I was gone for 2 years
I wish it had the chrome on the ring of the headlights. It has chrome on the side skirt.

Uncle Derwent, he had 4 sons, all old enough to drive, each one had a VW Bug. My cousins were so cool, they'd come over and take me cruising around with them all the time. Fun, cool, good looking little cars for sure.
Oh, by the way Nick, I received my coffer cup that I ordered. I Love Coffee even more now! Ha ha, it has the 70 Chevelle on it. I owned one from 77 to 86. I miss it.

Bought that same car brand new. The cable going from the gas pedal to the motor broke 7 times in 21,000 miles. Traded it before the 24,000 mile warranty expired and bought a 1974. Check the internet for people swapping the motor with one of those 300 horsepower Subaru motors. They make an adapter plate so it bolts right up. Crazy quarter mile times.

It got about 30 plus on the highway in the 70s
My '66 only got about 20 mpg in town.
Interstate driving was an adventure, due to the fact that the 50 hp engine would only push it to about 70 mph... and that only if you had a good tailwind and was willing to wait 'til it finally spooled up that far.
A pretty good town/city car, but would get you killed on the interstates these days.

Never really liked beetles, they have as much power as an asthmatic frog, n sound like a fart in a drain pipe , but people still love em, big following here in uk n fetch high prices.🇬🇧
