The Income Tax Department has released the database of all 4,26,920 Provisional OR Final Registrations granted u/s 12AB or 10(23C) or Section 80G on its website.

The database is last updated upto November-22-2022. You can search/check the name of your/ any NGO in the database.

Cancellation of FCRA Licenses of NGOs-
FCRA license of 6,677 NGOs has been Cancelled for a period of 3 years by Ministry of Home Affairs in the last 5 years.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today on December-07-2022.

If I form a trust and add some trustees afterwards. Is it possible, that those new trustees can take over the trust?
Is there any provision of elections of president or other office bearers in Trust?
If you are a Settlor (Founder) of the Trust, then you can also become a ‘Settlor-cum-Trustee’ in your Trust.
All other Trustees works subject to your supervision and instructions. Through some specific clauses well drafted and inserted in your Trust Deed, your all apprehensions can be well taken care of.

Hamara ek Society hai jisme 60+ members hai jo humne 2017 me banaya tha Isne sabhii members fix amount jama krte hai aur Jab kisi bhi member ko loan ki zarurat hoti hai use no interest ke kuch month ke liye amount dete hai jis se Bahut saare members ne Faida liya hai.Lekin society ka koi income nahi hai aur Ab hume Society ka registration krna hai.

Can any govt. employee register Section 8 company?
While Section-8 Company is created for Public Charity Purposes, it`s objectives are not to earn profits. From Companies Act, 2013 point of view, there are no hinderances/ fetters. But as a Govt Employee you should check with your Office; I am sure there might be some internal restrictions as per your terms & conditions of employment.
In such case, you can easily make either of your core family members as members-cum-directors of your Section-8 Company.

No, In case of Private Trusts, no such tax exemptions are given. Therefore, Private Trusts [whose objects are not at all Charitable] are NOT required to apply/obtain any registrations under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
