All we get today is saas-bahu drama, petty intrigue, women stabbing each other in the back, toxic males beating up their sisters and wives (and daughters), cousin marriages, stalkers and so on. Mostly nonsense, churned out to give the masses some excitement. Sometimes we forget we once had a rich culture of television dramas in this country that did not rely on domestic violence and cheap intrigues to make them popular. Where did this rubbish creep in from? When did it become ok to treat domestic violence as something casual and almost mandatory (instead of as a major social issue)? When did it become ok to promote cousin marriages so much? When did it become ok to have 40-plus episode dramas filled with endless stupid intrigue with a quick and unbelievable ending? When did it all change and when did we all regress so much?

O cmon. It was a very 90s style. People had floor cushions in the sitting room and liked to sit down on the floor in casual gatherings. Specially the hosts would usually take the floor cushions and let the guests sit on the sofas.
