- Sorry if there's some weird audio crackling, I forgot I was torrenting something while rendering this and I can't tell if it's my computer giving up or my ears finally giving out. For context, I'm using a pretty old Surface Pro 7 to do basically like, everything. My only alternative is a $100 HP laptop I use to try out various flavours of Linux
I'm not the biggest fan of classical music, but I am a fan. I was introduced to this song on Pianista, and it's quickly become one of my favourite works, ever. I'm also glad I could pick a song where I wouldn't have to individually hear all the notes, since for almost all VGM I 'cover' I have to make my own references. It's still a pain in the ass, but it saved me the rest of it. Not to mention the tempo of this monster. Pretty sure it changes almost every measure.
I have a few other 'art music' songs I want to try my hand at recreating, but I'm busy living on a ranch and having some semblance of a life. The only other one I have done currently is 'O magnum mysterium' of Tomás Luis de Victoria, a Gregorian chant sung during the matins of Christmas. Not that I give a shit about its religious context-it's just a really pretty song.
