I get so excited when you release new videos and this one definitely did not disappoint. Has me considering going to the Rams @ Seahawks in December when I had previously written it off.
This is great, thanks for the film.. I think we're going to run something like this next season. Just make everything look the same, I just gotta make it work, right now we have a totally new offensive line, an athletic qb, a fast and shifty runningback and a receiver.
You should do an upload on the Dolphins and their D-Line against Tennessee and what to expect going forward from SUH! His grade on PFF has been amazing, but you should breakdown what people don't see. Just like your Randy Gregory breakdown. Love your work man!
Refreshingly insightful and nonpartisan...more than I can say for any of TV's 24/7 breakdown/analysis in recent memory. *Can you pls do....just kidding. Pls just keep...doing!
Great video as usual. looks to me like a couple of those wind back or counter plays are in fact split zone. I know it's splitting hairs (no pun intended), and it actually further illustrates your point that they can make everything look the same in their run packages
I think that is going to be a big problem for the rams' running game. You have the backs, and even the scheme, although who knows how the scheme will change this upcoming year, but now it is about execution. Gurley should be quality again this year, and at least for the next few years. The Line has to be able to open gaps. And then the passing game needs to become more lethal. Right now it is too 1 dimensional. They are able to concentrate too much on Gurley and load the box cause there are no major threats receiving. That's regardless of the talent at receiver since the talent at QB is lacking. Which of course requires pass protection as well. Ugh. So many complexities. Also, Tavon Austin is athletically gifted, but he is only averaging like 9 yards per reception, which is not great. Not sure about how much he is being targeted, but he doesn't really have great numbers as a receiver. But he is a great threat as a runner, which adds a terrific extra dimension. But he has a fumbling problem. If you look at the number of runs he has compared to the number of fumbles he has there is a real problem there. Gotta take care of the ball.
Man, I would love to see your analysis of Le'veon Bell. Obviously, he's not a new talent, and we all know he's good, but as someone who's not an Xs and Os guy, I find it so fascinating learning what makes these guys do so well.
+lgcfsr I wish I could too. I average about 40 hours of production time per video when you count film study, so it's really hard to put them out on a weekly basis. I have fun doing it though.
+Brett Kollmann Although, if you're looking for something to cover, I'd make the humble suggestion of talking about the Lions offence and why it's so poor. One of the biggest wastes of talent in the NFL IMO.
It'd be awesome if you did a video on Bud Dupree and the other rookie pass rushers you reviewed before the draft. I would also love a video talking about the (fire) zone blitz.
Frank cig was my OC at UNC, I was his HBack so I was always at the point of Attack on all these play's. 14/15z and the reverse is called zorrow. Example 15 zorrow would be the reverse. The Eagles is running alot of this stuff also. It works wonders out of the bunch.
I have been trying for the better part of a year to get a firmer grasp on football concepts and a deeper understanding of the game by going beyond TV and Madden (although to Madden's credit, they have started to introduce educational aspects into the game) and I must say, I never thought to look to TH-cam, but you have taught me/ reinforced my knowledge to an unbelievable degree in just a few videos. I have found some articles and analysis blogs online and while I do my best to absord them all I guess I am more of a visual learner (or perhaps football is best taught visually, especially in motion via film), these videos coupled with you always making sure you're breaking everything down for your viewers while you show examples is extremely helpful. Instead of just assuming every football fan knows what a zone run is because they have heard it said a thousand times, you quickly and efficiently explain and show us what that means and now I know lol. You are a good teacher, man so keep up the good work.
I'm not sure if you take suggestions but I'm sure a lot of people would like a breakdown of the Broncos Offense. Keep up the good work these videos are great!
wow what an incredibly awesome video. you hit the nail on why the Rams lose. Jared fucking Cook. we have the pieces but jared cook needs to be benched. great analysis and explanation. my entire football career was based around power O and i backs. even watching steven jackson as run up the middle. so that explanation of zone scheme was great to watch and understand.
Am i the only one that believes the rams can win games just by the gurley run game with the jet sweeps and reverses with tavon even look at when they run a fake to tavon how much space he had if he actually got the ball
Great video but one thing you forgot to add, feature STEDMAN BAILEY!!!! Probably our most sure handed receiver and it's like Fisher wants to keep down on the depth chart
Brett Kollmann Awesome. Now if you are going to pick between the two, I would really like to see Dalvin. Huge Noles fan here. However, either prospect would be good. :)
Great video man, thats the true RAM offense...next year in LA they will make the playoffs...they didn't wanna rush Gurley...and there cashing in on it now smart move...but even smarter move was drafting him in the first place... when they do the draft do over I bet he'll be #1 overall...steal of the draft even at #10...LA RAMS
GREAT video, I love this kind of stuff. You've definitely earned a sub from me. One thing though, you failed to mention just how shitty the Ram's pass blocking has been. Did you see how many times Foles was hit (HARD) throughout the season already? Especially against the Packers. No wonder he's keying in on his first read and throwing those terrible picks. Just watch the last play of the video where he throws to Bailey on the out route. Frostee Rucker (I think that's the player, hard to see the number exactly) literally gets a free hit on Foles, no one on the o-line touched him. Yeah, sometimes Foles holds onto the ball too long, but wtf is he supposed to do about shit like that? And that crap happens ALL the damn time. Eventually, this o-line will grow together and be at least average, but I dunno if Foles will survive to see that happen.
+ron batura it was partially the camera angle. objects coming moving to or away from you are harder to judge or visually appreciate the speed as those crossing your vision. he also had a great angle on the play. but yeah, that was freakin' fast!
Well then it is good to know that if Goff doesn't live up to the hype and or potential and is just another average QB, they should still be a good team unless they do what you said and be there own worst enemy like firing Jeff Fisher for another coach who would either not understand what type of offense they have been building or doesn't respect it and proceeds to start from scratch building a new one which will take a very long time. Or the higher ups make stupid picks in the next draft. It would be awesome if they got O.J Howard or Jabrill Peppers or Johnathan Allen or Myles Garret or Jamal Adams or Adoree Jackson or Mike Williams or Jalen Tabor or Ju Ju Smith Schuster though.
Early Brett is cool to see
Tremendous as always Brett! Thanks!
I always look at my subscriptions mainly to look at at your videos. Thank you so very much for doing this. You do a really good job.
I get so excited when you release new videos and this one definitely did not disappoint. Has me considering going to the Rams @ Seahawks in December when I had previously written it off.
These videos open up my eyes. Thanx.
Thanx Brett, excellent breakdown !
Great Video, Keep Em' Coming
Fantastic breakdown
Very solid breakdown my friend.
Hey this is great! Keep it up!
Very nice work on that video!
Awesome vid. Subscribed.
13 days off of 5 years. The Rams have come full circle with lateral movement and motions pre and at the snap. Brett how you have grown.
wow this is some great stuff
This is great, thanks for the film.. I think we're going to run something like this next season. Just make everything look the same, I just gotta make it work, right now we have a totally new offensive line, an athletic qb, a fast and shifty runningback and a receiver.

Awesome video, liked and subbed! I'm really excited to watch the Rams develop going forward.
Refreshingly insightful and nonpartisan...more than I can say for any of TV's 24/7 breakdown/analysis in recent memory.
*Can you pls do....just kidding.
Pls just keep...doing!
Thanks for the video. Rams need a sure-handed TE and WRs in 2016 draft and watch out the Rams offense is going to explode.
Great video as usual. looks to me like a couple of those wind back or counter plays are in fact split zone. I know it's splitting hairs (no pun intended), and it actually further illustrates your point that they can make everything look the same in their run packages
I totally enjoyed the work you did on this. Good job! P.S. Can you fix our line :(
+John Dominguez Only god himself can fix our line

John Edwards A bum

As a Cowboys fan this make me smile.. Dallas is going to use a lot of these concepts with Zeke and Tavon Austin. 😊
Awesome video!
Wish u uploaded more............
+lgcfsr I wish I could too. I average about 40 hours of production time per video when you count film study, so it's really hard to put them out on a weekly basis. I have fun doing it though.
+Brett Kollmann It's really great stuff. Crank it out at your own pace, as long as it continues to be quality, I'll always watch it.
+Brett Kollmann Although, if you're looking for something to cover, I'd make the humble suggestion of talking about the Lions offence and why it's so poor. One of the biggest wastes of talent in the NFL IMO.
+AttackDog0500 I second this
+Brett Kollmann Take your time man, quality over quantity. awesome channel
welcome to L.A
It'd be awesome if you did a video on Bud Dupree and the other rookie pass rushers you reviewed before the draft. I would also love a video talking about the (fire) zone blitz.
Amazing stuff! I know that these videos take awhile to make but man, they're really good! Keep it up!
I wish we could see a break down on Patrick Peterson
Waiting till the bucs pats game so I'm just gonna watch some of these old vids
Nicely done man. I've been wondering about doing a channel like this too on breaking down game film. Good stuff.
Frank cig was my OC at UNC, I was his HBack so I was always at the point of Attack on all these play's. 14/15z and the reverse is called zorrow. Example 15 zorrow would be the reverse. The Eagles is running alot of this stuff also. It works wonders out of the bunch.
This was a masterful breakdown thank you.
My 2 favorite college players in the last couple of years. Can't believe they're on the same team.
You should do Brock

can you do one on khalil Mack please
This video makes me want to be an OC. Such elegant strategy. The backend of the video though makes me not want to be an OC
What happened to them in 2016 tho....
lol
Do a vid on Ha Ha.
wow what an incredibly awesome video. you hit the nail on why the Rams lose. Where do u get this film from?
+xWALDOxC6 All 22/Coach Perspective on NFL Game Rewind probably. Not shown in the TV feed and uncommented, but intended for post-game evaluation.
thank you!
Outstanding analysis! You correctly identified Cook's horrific pass catching skills, but failed to mention hives worse blocking abilities.... pathetic!
Can you do Tom Brady next?
can you do Antonio brown or le'veon bell
May I ask you where you get this videos from? :O Beautiful studies btw.
NFL GamePass.
rob i dont even know how i did that
why Is Josh McCown doing so well in Cleveland
Am i the only one that believes the rams can win games just by the gurley run game with the jet sweeps and reverses with tavon
even look at when they run a fake to tavon how much space he had if he actually got the ball
Funny how both Rams' Tight Ends are/ have been Packers now
Noah Lehman He caught that ball at the end of the dallas game though
And then Frank Cignetti got fired
do Aaron Donald
very insightful. tremendous stuff. Makes me even happier I have Gurley on my fantasy team!
just a middle school offense
Great video but one thing you forgot to add, feature STEDMAN BAILEY!!!! Probably our most sure handed receiver and it's like Fisher wants to keep down on the depth chart
Put Jason brown back at LG and Safforld at RG.... Resign Reynolds.....
Can you do Dalvin Cook or Leonard Fournette?
+NortusPlays I might in the off season as a 2017 Draft preview. They are both excellent.
Brett Kollmann Awesome. Now if you are going to pick between the two, I would really like to see Dalvin. Huge Noles fan here. However, either prospect would be good. :)
+Brett Kollmann do you think Jared Goff is the answer?
Captain Spartan 04 does jared goff even know the question he's supposed to answer
Great video man, thats the true RAM offense...next year in LA they will make the playoffs...they didn't wanna rush Gurley...and there cashing in on it now smart move...but even smarter move was drafting him in the first place... when they do the draft do over I bet he'll be #1 overall...steal of the draft even at #10...LA RAMS
hmmm....
RUIZ LA RAMS you were a year early, this year is about to be nasty
solid. foles a bum doe.
GREAT video, I love this kind of stuff. You've definitely earned a sub from me.

Aaron Rodgers makes players better. Look at Jared Cook. Look at Greg Jennings
This didn't age well either lol
lol
watch at 1:33 that defender has to be the fastest person on this planet, ive nver seen anything like that!!!! wtf
+ron batura it was partially the camera angle. objects coming moving to or away from you are harder to judge or visually appreciate the speed as those crossing your vision. he also had a great angle on the play. but yeah, that was freakin' fast!
yeah its just look abnormal, he came out of no where!!
+big meech You can tell by using the lines. At 1:33 the defender is already passing the 40 yrd line and Gurley is 45yrd mark.
Rams are an up and coming team... Just need some better talents on defense like linebackers and such
Well then it is good to know that if Goff doesn't live up to the hype and or potential and is just another average QB, they should still be a good team unless they do what you said and be there own worst enemy like firing Jeff Fisher for another coach who would either not understand what type of offense they have been building or doesn't respect it and proceeds to start from scratch building a new one which will take a very long time.
